PERSONALITY :
Minsuk despite his experience with the game can get quite careless especially when he gets bored. Mainly because on his first account he was a duelist. While it doesn't happen often he does have a momentary lapse and still thinks he's a duelist. Which causes him to screw up his role in the party. Outside of that, he can be quite mischievous, especially when the others in the group aren't paying attention to him. When that does happen he likes to play pranks on everyone. Which earns him little love. He is also most probably the worst talker out of everyone in the group. He has no tact what so ever and is quite heavy-handed in his speech. It's not because he wants to be so impolite. But more because he doesn't know how to be as articulate as everyone else. Also probably doesn't help he is quite noisy to boot. He really seems to fit into the typical warrior stereotype, doesn't he?  He is also quick-tempered when someone pushes the right buttons. Which are all the buttons. He gets particularly angered when someone doesn't appreciate him tanking for them or listening to his ideas. Sure he can understand that his ideas might not be great, but at least listen to them.
 
Despite his misgivings, Minsuk also cares deeply for the guild as he is highly protective of them. Mainly because he views them as a second family, so he's willing to put his life on the line for them. I mean it doesn't sound so cool because it's a video game, but hey! It's the thought that counts. He is also quite passionate when it comes to the game. He's willing to help new players out just so they can enjoy the game as much as he does. He's also very sentimental when it comes down to it. It's why his character has a scythe and he's a guardian in the first place. Despite his quick-tempered nature, he is understanding and sometimes you just need someone to blame or yell at for dying in the heat of the moment. Plus he'd like to think if he tries his best to be understanding that someone will do the same for him. While that may be different practice he still tries to be as understanding as possible. Due in part to his tactless nature, he is quite honest. He prefers to not hide behind lies or pretences. So if asked anything he will answer honestly. Even if it is quite a personal question, albeit reluctantly. 

TRIVIA :

▸ likes to punt Jiyoung when she's not looking because she is soooo short. However he doesn't do it too often otherwise, he'd die a fiery death. He only does when she's least expecting it.
▸ Cringes at Joongki's puns every time because he personally hates them.
▸ He personally loves it when he can shrug off big hits unlike people in DPS classes
▸ Used to have a different character that was a human duelist. 

 I'd take a bullet for you. In game only. That would hurt 
 

RELATIONSHIPS : 

▸ Friends/Boss — Shin Jiyoung (18) / Jijin / Dwarf & Gunslinger / Charismatic, competitive and short tempered. / 9
While they do occasionally heads due to him playing pranks on her and her being bossy. He does get along with her quite well outside of that. He does mean well. But you do tend to become close to people when you're their damage sponge. 

▸ Friends/Tree — Kwon Joongki (18) / Yureka / Hybrid & Duelist / forgiving, outgoing, nosy and thoughtless / 9.5
He gets along with Joongki more than he does with Shin Jiyoung but that's because he considers him more of a bro than a friend.

PERSONA : The Quiet PC Bang Guy

PERSONALITY TRAITS :

PERSONALITY : 
Irl Minsuk's personality takes a shift. He becomes far more reserved and timid. Because outside of video games he is quite introverted. Due to this fact, he can come off as quite cold because he maintains a serious face. When in fact, he is quite nervous on the inside. He still is quite quick-tempered but he doesn't know how to vent his frustration outside of a video game. So he tries to hold it in until he can vent. He is still quite mischievous in real life too. But he is far more subtle. If a customer he doesn't like comes in he will screw with their connection so they lag out and get killed easier when it comes to video games Or he will give them one of the tier computers to use. 

Minsuk is a highly protective person. After all since he doesn't have many friends. So he does his best to take care of the ones he does have. Willing to take time out of his day (and even his night) to help them out where ever he can. Not that he had much of a life anyway. Minsuk is also quite passionate when it comes to the things he loves which is most commonly known as video games. While he went through a rough patch, he appreciates them more than ever. So be careful about broaching that subject with him. After all he wants to make people appreciate them as much as he does. After all it was something he learnt from a friend. He is also quite sentimental often keeping mementos or other thigns people would consider meaningless just to remember things by. He also appreciates sentimental value far more than actual value. Minsuk also tries his very best to as understanding as possible, after all he'd like it if someone else afforded the same luxury to him. Mainly because sometimes people are just victims to circumstances. Maybe if things were different they wouldn't have done said thing. Honesty is a big thing to Minsuk. After all lying is just troublesome to him. Mainly because you have to keep up with all the lies. So he prefers to be honest. Sure that can get you into a lot of trouble. But it voids the hassle in the long run. However if someone does tell him to keep a secret he will lie for their sake not his own.

BACKGROUND : 
Minsuk lived a relatively normal life. Well relatively normal for him. He was particularly average at everything besides two things. Making friends and playing video games. While he definitely excelled at playing video games. He definitely lacked the ability to make friends as easily as others. Unless of course, they talked to him first.

He ended up doing alright in high school and he could've gone to university. But he honestly didn't know what he wanted to do in his life. His father had no qualms with what he did with his life as long as he had a job or was studying. Thankfully his uncle decided to let him run one of his PC bangs. Hence why Minsuk was good at video games in the first place. Delighted he took his uncle up on the offer.

However, things were far from easy. While he didn't have to do much outside of cleaning the place every so often and dealing with customers. It wracked his nerves dealing with customers sometimes. Thankfully his cousin also worked there so he dealt with people Minsuk couldn't. However, Minsuk would grow bored of playing the generic games that he would. Like every first person shooter, they'd put out every year.  He became grumpy over time even if new people tried to talk to him. 

That was until one day when a young twelve-year-old boy came in one day by name of Minjin. He noted the boy as odd because he'd try to talk Minsuk everytime he came in. Which was basically every day? Which he found even odder. While he would try his best to dissuade the kid from talking to him. Especially when Byunghun was around. Minjin managed to wear him down over the course of several months with his happy smile and childish fantasies. So he'd talk to the little boy everytime he could. Indulge in his dreams. Give him advice on life and generally, help the boy out when he could with things like homework.
 
He'd also tell the boy to follow his dreams and not end up working a dead end job in a PC Bang like him. But every time they 'd end up talking about video games and how personally Minjin loved to play them despite the fact he wasn't good at them. While Minsuk personally didn't enjoy them anymore. So he decided to start teaching Minsuk how to be good at video games. But only after they'd finish his homework every day. 

Things were far from easy, though. He noticed the boy lacked any actual skill and his complaints annoyed Minsuk daily. But he refused to give up on the poor kid. Mainly because he couldn't deal with the idea of the poor kid without a smile on his face. Minjin however eventually got the hang of first person shooters. So they moved on to fighting games and so on. With each genre, Minjin learnt quicker and quicker. It was hard to believe but Minjin's smile grew bigger with each game that he got good at. With that, Minsuk slowly grew to like games again.

Until eventually Minjin learned about Utopia. So he challenged Minsuk to a challenge of who could make it to level 200 first. Except Minsuk had the small catch that he could only play with Minjin. So Minjin made a guardian and Minsuk made a duelist and they'd go on many adventures together over the of a year and a half. With Minsuk a good five levels ahead of Minsuk. 

But then Minjin slowly started coming in less and less. Minsuk thought it might've been because he was getting more caught up in school. Maybe he made some new friends and that's why he was so busy or maybe he might have even got a girlfriend. He still cherished each time he came in. 

As Minjin came in less and less, he'd tell Minsuk that he should join a guild as he'd heard about a cool one by the name of Maverick. Because it'd be the gym he'd join. Which bother Minsuk slightly because enjoyed just going on adventures with the two of them. Both of them against the world. But as Minjin suggested it more and more. He decided he'd agree with Minjin to join Maverick together.
 
Too bad that would never happen.

It'd be several months before he'd hear from Minjin. Even then it wouldn't be from Minjin. His mother came in one morning. How did he know it was his mother? Lucky guess maybe. But things just felt off when he saw her. She smiled. But he could tell despite her smile there was sadness. it put him on edge. That's when she told him.
 
Minjin died last night in surgery. 

That was nearly enough to cause Minsuk to break down right then and there. She had to be lying right? Surely it had to be an elaborate prank like when he and Minsuk would troll people with the computers and their connections so that they'd be fine for Minsuk but not the crappy customer. He wanted to sob right there but he couldn't. Not right then anyway. 

She thanked him for always being there for her little ray of sunshine and helping him with his homework even though he didn't have to. She also said that if he needed anything to give her a ring and that she'd be honored if he'd come to his funeral. 

So he did. 

He even managed not to cry.

He was proud.

He didn't want Minjin to see him being a wimp after all.

After the funeral, he was given a letter from Minjin and usb. His mother said that he wanted Minsuk to have it. So later on when he was alone he read the letter. It detailed how Minjin thought Minsuk was the older brother he never had and that he wanted to be just like him when he grew up. He didn't care if he wouldn't get anywhere in life running a PC Bang and that he wanted to apologise for being able to join Maverick. But also said that he really needed to check what was on the USB. 

He opened it up to find various photos of them hanging out. Plenty of them had them making goofy faces after they'd make an annoying customer leave. 

That's when he broke down. That's when in a fit of sadness he deleted his account on utopia. He couldn't deal with beating Minjin at reaching level 200. 

But after awhile he regretted it. After all, he had nothing to do to honor Minjin's memory in. 

The kid that made him love video games again. 

That was until he saw what else was on the USB. It told Minsuk how to log on to Minjin's account because as Minjin had put it. He'd known Minsuk would be a dork and do something stupid and to make into Maverick for the both of them.

That's when Minsuk found out that Minsuk had altered his character's appearance the night before he died in surgery. His character actually looked like Minsuk.
 

TRIVIA :

▸ He named the PC Bang 'The Lab' because it thought it'd sound cool if you said you were going down to the lab.
▸  Lives in an apartment above The Lab. 
▸ Will most definitely hangout with you if you offer to buy him food.
▸  Works out here and there when he has the time because he can't live off of the stuff in The Lab without getting fat. 
▸  Tries to get everybody to come down to the lab for a good old lan party-esque dungeon crawl. Even though he'd freak out at meeting everyone irl.

Byunghun helps him out a lot when it comes to work. He's honestly surprised Byunghun hasn't replaced him or tried to. But he says it's because he doesn't want his Dad thinking he's too capable.

IT'S NOT A GUILD, IT'S A FAMILY

What kind of weapon do you use? please describe it. : 

▸ I mean simply explain it's a scythe. I mean that's pretty obvious ain't it *laughs* I could make up some bull about how it took me several months of grinding or it was made from the blood of enemies. But it isn't. It isn't a bit simple looking for my level. But it's from a friend. So I'll keep it until the end of time. *smiles*

why did you pick the class you chose? : 

▸  Well uh. *sighs* I'll be honest with you. I didn't actually pick my class. I more of grew into it as someone would. But I chose it because a friend of mine looked up to people who could protect others. So that's kind of why I went for it. Because I want to be someone worthy of being looked up to.

why did you want to join maverick? : 

▸  I made a promise to a friend. He seemed pretty impressed by you guys and thought you guys were the best players around. Sadly he doesn't play anymore *frowns* But I'm still gonna honour that promise. Even if he can't. *smiles* Plus I'm personally interested to see what you guys are like as people. I will say you guys seem pretty cool.

do you think you are worthy of joining maverick? : 

▸  Is anyone owrthy of anything? *laughs* I'll stop before I get all philosophical. Unless of course that expresses my worthiness. *chuckles* Didn't think so. But anyway. I've been busting my in hopes of being even a little worthy of joining your guild. So you tell me am I worthy?

how'd you decide your race? : 

▸ Simple didn't want to be mainstream. That's kind of it really. I mean I could've gone with hybrid but I thought against it. I didn't want to be short because I didn't want to get punted randomly by people. Because god knows I do that a lot. *laughs* Plus me and my friend decided we'd be the same race. So he picked elves and I joined in.

here at maverick, we are a family. swear here, today, that you will follow our rules and listen to the guild no matter what. : 

▸ What's the point of a guild if you don't rules? But I guess I'll get on with the cheesiness. *takes deep breath* I solemnly swear to follow Maverick's rules and their leader Jiyoung through the darkness and into the grave if she so demands it. I will act as a shield for the family until I die and then respawn and repeat the vicious cycle until Utopia's end days.

LAST WORDS : I'm sorry for all this. If you like the love interest section just make it applicant. I mean it took me  a long time to write. But I guess I could make it's own thing if you don't approve and I just wish for your sake that you get lots of really good apps.

As well helping them with Irl problems and maybe having some of them meet other player's love interests. Honestly I just what it to seem connected between them even if they don't meet each other properly.
