APPEARANCE

haneul doesn't really possess any kind of special birthmarks or scars or anything. just the usual dimple on her left cheek that occasionally come out whenever she's smiling. sometimes she dyed her hair and currently her hair is in their mighty black state with a dark rose ombre. and also the fact that she stands at 169cm with only 52kg to carry around everywhere. no big deal

STYLE

haneul's a little of a late bloomer in the art of fashion as she grew up to be quite a tomboy but despite that, she got quite the style as her mother gave her an extensive lesson in fashion as she was afraid for the life of her own daughter because apparently before all of that lessons, haneul doesn't even know what a plaid shirt is. she thought it was a kind of sheep. but now, her style varies from preppy, punk, athleisure, etc. she also loves to mix and match. but the very peculiar thing is that haneul loves buying from thrift shop for some reason. cheapskate much?

patient: as everybody said, patience is virtue and that is exactly what she believes. she rarely loses her patience but when she does, it's gonna be a hell of a ride. when i said hell, it's probably because of the fact that she turns into this other dimensional demon from the deepest part of hell

nurturing: she loves kids. maybe it's because she's the youngest child in the hwang family, she became what she is today. she never had the chance to take care of a younger sibling so maybe this is the way for her to channel her inner motherly feeling

observant: when haneul isn't in the mood to become her usual childish and hyperactive self, she'll sit down and observe everything around her. it's kind of like her slowing down a bit, trying to understand the world a little bit better

understanding: maybe it's due to her nurturing self. she always tries to understand people and their reasons to whatever they had done. she believes in a just world, no matter what

funny: for someone as childish as haneul, being funny is always in the package. whether it's dry humour or just pure comedy, haneul's got it in the bag. nobody will ever frown in front of hwang haneul

childish: to be truthful with you, haneul is a kid at heart. even childish than a two year old, probably. but seriously, nobody can control the way this girl becomes a kid

sarcastic: it's needless to say that she probably get this from the bunch of squids she called friends. sarcasm? please! she can top that any time, any day. she'll throw you off your track with her sarcasm

boisterous: in other word, hyperactive and naughty. with or without sugar, whether the day's hot or cold, she'll still be hyper unless she's not in the mood. because haneul being hyper is a given fact since she was born

blank: this one is not because of her being stupid. oh, no! she's at the top of her class. it's just simply because she's easily confused by things. i don't really understand this kid but it's the complexity that made someone interesting, right?

straightforward: blunt. like, seriously blunt. haneul will say whatever crosses her mind. it's a good thing that she could save herself from trouble or else she would've probably ended up in jail for her bluntness

BACKGROUND

[THE BEGINNING OF IT ALL] hwang haneul was born under a special condition. which was being born in a helicopter. while her mom was tending to an injured personnel. which miraculously helped her mom deliver haneul. shocked was one of the word that literally crossed her father's face when her mom landed with a baby in her arms and an injured personnel smiling so proudly even with a bloodied uniform

[MY UNEVENTFUL JOURNEY] her school life was quite boring. meaning to say, she wasn't bullied nor was she very much popular. she was just another face in the hallway but that didn't mean nobody knew her name. everybody know her since she's just so friendly, always greeting everybody with a dimpled smile and also maybe the fact that she was a valedictorian

[HOW I GOT HERE] haneul never really dreamt of being an idol or even being adored by her own line of fans. so back then, if you said that she was gonna be an idol one day, she'll probably just smiled at you and said thank you. when she was just rapping at an underground tournament, she didn't know she was being watched by a scout from jyp entertainment. after the tournament, she was immediately scouted and was proudly presented to jyp himself like a human sacrifice. and so, that's how her beginning started

FIRST MEETING WITH CHILD
it was a nice sunny day and lily was in her ballet class. the niceness of the day would end soon enough though, just you wait. haneul and hoseok was anxiously waiting for the class to end, curious to know who their kid will be. they were excited like an expectant parent. when lily came out of the class with her friends in tow, she stopped when she saw one of the crew.

"where's my mom?"

haneul waved to lily with a smile and lily immediately frowned. hoseok just stood there, admiring lily like she's the most amazing thing ever. and to him, she is. lily was still looking around when they approached her.

"hi, lily! my name is hwang haneul but you can call me eomma. and that is jung hoseok, your appa." haneul greeted warmly with that infamous dimpled smile.

"not you. i meant my real mom. mommy!"

lily was crying by then when her mom didn't come, so hoseok tried to calm her down but that didn't work. in the end, haneul hugged her and carried her to the nearest ice cream shop.

"lily, your mom is gonna be back in a few, okay? but in the mean time, let's eat some ice cream. i bet you're tired from crying and your ballet lesson. pick whatever flavour you want, sweetheart."

lily stopped crying by the time they were picking ice cream flavour. hoseok tried communicating with lily for a few times but lily seemed to ignore him. so, he was sulking while eating his ice cream in the corner of their table.

"okay, now i'm ready to talk. my name is kang lily but you can call me lily. i'll learn to like you soon as long as you like me too. haneul eomma seems nice but horsie appa looks weird. i don't know but it's okay. i never knew my appa so i'll try my best to play with horsie appa too."

that was what made hoseok's day. even when lily called him horsie appa. 
 

INTERACTIONS WITH MOM
lily adored haneul just like she adored her real mom even though haneul isn't like her. haneul doesn't really like girly things like lily did but haneul tried her best to show lily that she's happy as long as lily's happy. lily liked that haneul eomma doesn't give up on her even though she acts like an adult sometimes and annoys the hell out of both hoseok and haneul.

INTERACTIONS WITH DAD
lily and horsie appa is not really hostile with each other but they aren't exactly close either. hoseok really tried though. he desperately wants to be close with lily since he really wanted to have a kid of his own. he thought that lily would like him. she does but she just feels awkward since she doens't really know what to do with her horsie appa. that is where haneul came forward to help hoseok and lily to become closer.
