SHORT BLURB / Haneul's life is to be described as a raging storm. As she said to others, "you wouldn't know about it until you're caught up in it." She might be viewed as a very conservative person but to be honest she's exactly the opposite of that. She was depressed after moving to Korea and her parents aren't of any help. They controlled every aspect of her life, even her future and that choked her up and she's done listening to them. So in the end, she decided to leave home and ran to the center for runaway kids. While she was there, she found out that music and rap is the best cure for her. Being scouted by MXI was probably the best thing that has ever happened to her and right when she thought that her life couldn't have gone more tier than it has been.

PERSONALITY / How do you explain Haneul in a nutshell? A hyper quirky kid with an attitude to boot. Haneul is the happy virus kind of person. She just spreads love and positivity around and she keeps everybody feeling comfortable with her. Being a total extrovert butterfly that she is, she very much know how to make friends with everybody. Her personality changes a lot depending on situations and her mood. You do not want to see the other side of this girl as it tends to turn into a dangerous situation. For an instance, she had once broke every single thing on a table because somebody broke her lego masterpiece. But when she's playful, she can't practically stop herself once she started. A very hyper person, she can't sit still for even a minute. Even if she does, there must be something bothering her. She's super scary when she's mad and is very unpredictable so don't get into her bad book. On stage, she became a teaser with a lot of random things to do that made her turn into the aegyo cute makdungi that captures everybody's heart.

Hwang Haneul was born in Seattle, Washington. Moved with her family to Incheon, South Korea at the age of 15.

Life before South Korea for Haneul was probably the best thing ever. She had her boyfriend, best friends and her grandparents to keep her company even when her parents aren't there. But when suddenly they had to move to south korea, she began feeling lonely and fell onto depression as fast as quicksand. With her parents always absent from all the important things in her life and no one to comfort her in her time of distress, she started loathing herself for being such a coward. Her parents said that they only wanted the best for their daughter and decide every little things in her life like her clothing, her education, her future. She hated the fact that she can't say a word because it's her life. She was always alone in her house because she's not allowed to go out without her parents and that's when she devised a plan to leave. Before she left, she said everything that she had bottled up inside of her so that maybe they'll finally realised how she hated their intervention but nothing moved them so she left. She thought that her parents would call the police to find her as soon as they knew that she'd disappeared but instead they did nothing because they wanted to prove to her that life is hard without their help.

Being in the runaway home for teenagers is hard for Haneul but it was worth it. To be free to choose what kind of music she wants to listen, what kind of life she wants to lead and even what kind of friends she wants to have. She became an independent girl with confidence at the age of 18. While she was competing in an underground rap contest, she was scouted by MXI there. Audition was a bit of a hassle but her confidence and her randomness made her go through to the next round of audition. She really wanted to prove to her parents that their wrong. But the other half of her wanted to just go home and stay in her comfort zone but the other side of her wanted this. She wanted this freedom and she want it bad.

Trainee life

Training for the new Haneul was pretty much like studying all on it's own. It was easy and fun but then when she knew that her parents knew every single thing she's doing and it kind of scared her. But that wouldn't scare her enough to quit since there's contract to think about, friends that she began to love and her freedom that she began to cherish.

She became a trainee for two years and made a lot of friends and fans through social media and real life. When she was told that she's going to debut, she hopped here and there in the room for about half an hour.

With a long list of exes, she got wiser each time a break up happened. She learned from each one and loved the memory with each one of them. Her relationships usually ends at a good note and they eventually became friends.

To say that she's a romanticist is a real understatement. She loved going on walks on the beach, watch sunset together and loving every moment together. All she ever wanted was a loving man with a big heart that'll love her for her and watch cartoon with her while cuddling each other with a blanket wrapped around them.
