500 karma points to change your username?

Wtf? Why exactly did they change the 100 karma points to change your username to 500?!?! I was getting all excited because Im almost to 100 karma and then I was messing around on here and went to edit profile and was looking through it and then under change username it said "This cost 500 Korma Points" OMGGGG WTTTTFFFFF????

But i also think it's a good system since it (kinda forces) makes people interact here. i mean, i always love comments on my works. Just not spammed comments.
So it backfires in the sense that some people will spam irrelevant comments just for the karma points, rather than commenting to ACTUALLY interact.
