► "Carpe Diem!" Everyday, Eunjae works with carpe diem as her mantra. She doesn't like waisting any time and tries her best to be productive whenever she can. If her situation begins to look tough, she reminds herself that even if she's facing hardships at that moment, tomorrow will be a new day. Her outlook in life is very positive and loves to look on the brighter side of things. It's her "can do" attitude that led her into getting a lotus flower as her tattoo. Because of the flower's meaning, she runs her life by always having an open-mind to things and tries to look at all sides of the equasion.
► "Always shine. Shine as bright as the sun." Ever since she was young, she always had this bright personality to her that immediately drew people towards her. She had this aura that made her really easy to approach. Eunjae is very friendly with everyone and loves to make a lot of friends. Her favorite past time is to joke around with her friends and loves to tease them with endless remarks. She also loves to pull pranks once in a while whenever she's in the mood and you can always find her smiling.
► "Stay Hungry, Stay Humble" Another mantra that Eunjae goes by. With all her time in the dance community, whether it'd be in the USA or in Korea, she noticed that as more people began to be successful, the more they strayed away from her roots. She always likes to remind everyone around her to never forget their roots and to always be thankful of how successful and blessed they are at any moment. She loves to encourage others and also give sincere advice to those that always come to her for advice. Eunjae never loses her head if she wins at dance battles or competitions, she will always acknowledge her competitors and spread good vibes to those around her.
► "I won't stop until it's to my satisfaction." Eunjae tends to be a perfectionist whenever it comes to herself and the arts. Whenever she's running rehearsals, she makes sure that the routine is flawless, down to the littlest of details. If one person is off by even a little bit whether it'd be if a person's hand was off by an inch or even if they couldn't match the level of their team mates, then she will call them out. Everything needs to be flawless and up to her expectations and she will continue to revise it until she thinks it's good enough. All of her things need to be orderly and organized in order for her to function correctly as well. This kind of thinking often leads her to overthink everything and tends to get highly emotional. She'll either immediately close herself off to control herself or her temper will run short and she'll begin to snap at those around her without realizing it.
► "I can do this myself. If you ever need me, don't hesitate to call me." She tends to be very independent. She doens't like to lean on other people too much because she sees herself as a burden and prefers to keep to herself. Eunjae often forgets that there are people around her that she can lean on whenever she needs to, rather than be stuck in her own little world. But when it comes to the people she cares about, she always puts them first. She won't hesitate to drop what she's doing in order to help a friend out. Most of the time, she's too selfless to look after herself and often makes sure that those around her are happy and forgets about her own things she wishes to do. Eunjae will bottle things up until it gets too overwhelming for her and usually has a mental breakdown in her room.
► "Well here's what I have to say..." Because of her natural social-like personality, she won't hesitate to put her input on things. She hates it when someone triest to beat around the bush with her. She'll be truthful and upfront with people if she needs to be whether it'd be she's talking to someone she's close with or someone she's just casually talking to. Sometimes, she doens't even know her limits or when to stop talking when she's hurt someone. Her replies tend to be taken the wrong way because she tends to be very sarcastic/witty at times.

► Living the American Dream
After she was born, her parents had thought it was a good idea to move to the US in order to live a better lifestyle. So, they had moved from Busan to Los Angeles when she was just three years old. Her father managed to open up a traditional Korean restaurant in the heart of LA, where Koreatown is located. At night, their restaurant would turn into a street food stall where they would offer the different types of streetfoods you would find along the streets back in Korea. She and her sister went to school together while her parents managed the restaurant. Her parents are very loving and supportive with whatever dreams that she and her sister chased.
► Dance is who I am
Since everything was so easily accessible in LA, there were many things that had caught Eunjae's attention growing up. She never really stuck to anything. She tried playing sports, but she quickly got tired of it. Eunjae tried playing an instrument, she couldn't sit still all the time. But at the age of eleven, she was introduced to dance when her sister asked if she wanted to come along with her to a dance class that she had found interesting. Seeing as there was nothing else to do, Eunjae gladly went along with her sister and they took a workshop at IDA Hollywood. It was something that was out of her comfort zone, but something that she really enjoyed doing. Eunjae also found it as a way to bond with her older sister since her sister had always been dancing since she was little. Seeing that it was something that came natural to her, she consistently trained herself with her sister by her side. The two eventually became regulars and a part of the studio's dance team. Her friends would always deem her as "the dancing machine" of her friend group because she'd never stop moving or dancing. Eunjae and her sister grew to be known in the LA dance community and she had even got invited to perform a solo at one of the well-known junior competitions in the area when she was fourteen. Since there were so many studios in LA, she and her sister trained with a goal to be versatile dancers.
► Family always comes first, along with new beginnings.
When she was fifteen, Eunjae and her family had to move back to Korea because her grandmother on her mom's side had fallen ill. Because of her mom being an only child, they had to go back home to help take care of her. Her father planned to also open up his own restaurant after the move. They moved back to their old neighborhood where her sister was reunited with her childhood friends: Hoya and Feeldog. Once the two found out that they were both dancers, they introduced them to the Korean dance community. The four of them would often dance together whenever they had time. Since her sister was nineteen at that time, she thought of pushing her career as a choreographer and began to hunt for studios that were hiring or even building up her resume by trying to find gigs on her own. Eunjae was left to herself and often spent her time making friends with the underground community. It was there that she found her crew members: Cho Haru, Kwon Minhee, and Jung Jihoon. They were the people she was closest to in the community and one day decided to make a crew while hanging out with them. the four of them soon became known as Playm8. Their name came to be because they're all mates and love to have fun. It also became a play on Jihoon's personality because he's a playboy and loves to flirt with other girls so the four of them would always joke around saying it's based on Jihoon as their mascot and the girls are the mates, like Playboy. They danced on the streets by doing dance covers of the hottest songs in the K-pop scene and competed in local, underground, and neighborhood dance competitions. Her sister had secured a job as a choreographer at 1Million Studio and Playm8 used that place for their practices. They're also familiar faces that people would see on the class footage that 1Million would post on their Youtube Channel.
► Me? You want me as a trainee?
After one of Playm8's performances at the Han River, she and her crew members were being congratulated as the second place winner when a talent scout had approached them. He had his eyes specifically on Eunjae and had told her that there was something about her that could make her a potential idol and handed her information about Big Hit Entertainment's upcoming auditions. He further asked her questions about her dance history before encouraging her to do it and left. Her members were very supportive of her and wanted her to do it because it was an offer that doesn't come by. She was iffy at first, but Jihoon reminded her of their constant conversations of what it would be like to perform in front of thousands of people. Her dream was to constantly be on stage and they had often said that being an idol was an ideal life because you were always recreating and pushing yourself as an artist while getting to travel around the world and being constantly on stage. So, Eunjae brought it up to her family and her sister was all for it. Since Hoya and Feeldog were in the industry already, she didn't have to worry because she had those two to look after her little sister. Even her parents were okay with it because they knew dancing and performing was her passion. A couple weeks later, Eunjae attended the audition at the age of seventeen and passed.

► Sister — Choi Hyojin // 25 // choreographer // spunky, outgoing // 10 // Her sister is the closest person in her life. She looks up to her as an inspiration and Hyojin is the one that constantly pushes her to evolve and grow as a dancer. Whenever they're together, they become so loud that Hoya and Feeldog often try their best to shut the two up. But with both of their outgoing personalities, there's no stopping them. Hyojin is who she goes to whenever she needs advice. {1Million's Choi Hyojin}
► Older Brother Figure — Lee Howon (Hoya) // 25 // idol in Infinite // witty, playful // 9.5 // He's always constantly teasing her about her height and often jokes around with her. Whenever Eunjae hangs out with Hoya, she can never stop laughing because of how quick he is to retort and react to things. The two are always bickering at each other and would often place bets to see who would be the winner.
► Older Brother Figure — Oh Gwangseok (Feeldog) // 25 // idol in Bigstar // caring, affectionate // 9.5 // Eunjae's safe haven whenever she's together with the three of them: Hoya, Feeldog, and Hyojin. While her sister and Hoya are often teasing her or playing around with her, she'd always go to Gwangseok whenever she needs to chill down. Although he is quite playful himself, the two often like to casually hang out at cafes and have heart to heart conversations.
► Best Friend — Jung Jihoon // 23 // student, dancer (Playm8) // flirty, cheeky // 9 // He was the first person that she met in the underground community and immediately tried to flirt with her. Eunjae was easily flustered and this made him want to constantly tease the girl. The two became close after their first encounter with Jihoon breaking the ice and gets on her nerves. Their relationship is like Tom and Jerry but at the end of the day, they deeply care about each other. Because they are so close to each other, they would occasionally collaborate with each other for choreography. Some of their friends within the community would often mistake them for a couple which Eunjae would immediately deny even if everyone ships them. { x x }{fc: kim jisoo}
► Close Friend — Kwon Minhee // 22 // student, dancer (Playm8) // sassy, confident // 8 // Also met through the underground community, Minhee is the moodmaker of the crew and she would often help Eunjae with choreography whenever she needed it. The two are like yin and yang. They balance each other out with Minhee as the more calmer one between the two. She's who Eunjae goes to talk to that guys can't relate to if Hyojin is busy. {fc: lee sungkyung}
► Close Friend — Cho Haru // 20 // student, dancer (Playm8) // innocent, quiet // 8 // Haru is the maknae of the group and the last to be recruited for Playm8. Eunjae was the one who approached her after seeing her constantly at the underground battles and at 1Million. She found it adorable how shy Haru is but changes to a confident young woman whenever she dances. She thinks of Haru as a younger sister and loves to dote on her. Eunjae would always act really affectionate towards her and treat her to meals while enjoying a calm day out together. {fc: lee hi}
► Close Friend — Kim Chaeyeon // 19 // trainee, Salute Member // headstrong, impulsive // 8.5 // The first friend that she made after becoming a trainee. She had approached Chaeyeon after their first dance session in order to compliment her on her dancing and easily got along with her right after. The two would often stick together as a pair and supported each other due to how cut-throat and intense trainee life was. They would often share their worries on their way to the dorms and cheered each other up while grabbing some food from the convenience store in their neighborhood.
► Friends — Infinite, Bigstar, and BTS // varies // friends // loud, childlike // 7 // Because she's so close to Hoya and Feeldog, it's only natural for her to grow close to their members. Eunjae became friends with BTS because she danced for them a couple of times. They love to joke around with her and treat her as "one of the guys". They're not afraid to play rough with her, whether it'd be placing bets on who could hold their plank longer or playing a game of basketball. But even if she is seen as one of the guys, they're still pretty protective of her.
