► Meiying has a baby face, which most of her friends admire. Ever since she was a child Meiying had a dark, slightly tanned skin. As she grew up she started to look after her skin, she always remembers to never skip her skin care routine. Meiying wears reading glasses whenever she has to read this is because of her little bit of a poor eyesight. She has never went under the knife as Meiying thinks natural beauty is the best and what you should be proud of. She stand up to 171cm and weighs about 48kg. Meiying has been tall since she was a toddler.

 

► She likes to dress casual and see what's in trend as Meiying is interested in fashion. She would often put her hair down because she thinks it suites her the best. Meiying is not that picky on what colours to wear causing her wardrobe to be surrounded by many different colour clothings. Her go to bag is a side bag as she thinks it doesn't bother her to carry it anywhere as it won't be that heavy like hand bags. ► Mei Ying is a comfortable person to be with as she's easy going to nearly everyone. She is often prone to be teased by older people and also younger people but would laugh and smile along with it. Mei Ying is very easy to get along because of her always smiling face and dirty minded jokes. She doesn't get flustered or upset easily making her have a strong personality, she's just an all round nice person. In situation like this, when someone throws a ice cream cone at her brother, he may scream and yell, however Mei Ying would just clean it of for him and ask that person to to say sorry in a calm tone adding it with no punishment. Talking with Mei Ying would not be awkward it will almost feel like you've been friends with her for ages, instead of her saying hi only she tens to call out their name aswell with a bright smile and also does a bit of skinship if they're close enough, this makes other people feel welcomed. Whenever her group members feels sick she'll look after them bringing a first aid box at the same time while she's keeping an eye on the other members if they get injured, Mei Ying would make soup with her special/secret recipe wishing that certain member to get well soon. If the dorm room is in a messy state, she'd ask the members to clean up as soon as possible incase anyone gets hurt by tripping over what's on the floor. Mei Ying would always remind the group and also their manager to brush their teeth twice a day, if they don't they'll not get to eat any sweets and snacks for a week. Hearing Mei Ying's name you would think of a intelligent person, she'd always rank first in exams and would some times tutor other trainees with their homework. In the past when she was a trainee she will bring her school work with her to complete not wanting to fail in any studies. If an error occurred in her groups dance moves Mei Ying would come up with a idea to fix it, not just an odinary idea actually a unique one. Many People notices about her eccentric trait, in practice rooms when the group members of D.royals finished practicing the dance routine, she would do a weird and dorky dance showing how excited she is. Mei Ying would also take selfies with water, take selfies with chicken then running away with them chasing after her, wears odd socks, talking to the wall when she's lonely etc.

 

Mei Ying is a confident person, who can fit in anywhere, talk to anyone and be exactly who they want to be with no concern of how they may appear to others. She thinks that confidence is for knowing who you truly are and what you stand for in all situations. Mei Ying is never to shy to say out loud her opinions she even shows that she's confident by showing body lanuage and int with others. Unfortunately being confident is not always positive for Mei Ying. Sometimes she would go over board with her confidence going with crazy and weird ideas that would always come to a bad ending. She would even go to dangerous ideas to win first place. At times Mei Ying would flirt with a certain guy she thinks is actractive like if he has a good body and a bonus a handsome like face, she would go for it. Mei Ying does know her limits on how much to flirt as she doesn't want to be seen a player and a un-loyal person.

 

Whenever she sees a picture of a hot guy she'll start to think dirty scenes and would get excited over it. Once Mei Ying was passing by a restaurant and saw a women eating something with mayonaise and some gets on her face, she would think dirty minded thinking that a male had just ed on her face, not only this shows that Mei Ying is dirty minded there's more..... She woud group members with ert jokes on and on and on. She also thinks ert moments about animals. At times Mei Ying can get bossy in different situations like in practice rooms with her group members, work even more harder, practice that line more then the others, go get my bag and further more. If she's to lazy to the dishes in the dorm she would tell one of the members she sees doing nothing giving them to choice and not letting them say no to her request. If Mei Ying spots a actractive man passing by she would turn very cunning trying to seduce him. She tries to read peoples minds on what they're about to do next, hat will they say now by giving them a sly face expression. When she's trying to seek revenge, Mei Ying would think of a cunning plan on how but would end up failing. She thinks that almost everything must be perfect even on how to line up the shoes owned by her and the group and must be put on the mat with laces tucked in. Mei Ying is a type of perfectionist that would line up the furniture from the dorm with a ruler. Every piece has to be so many inches from the wall and so many inches from every other furniture. She expects just as much from herself as she does from others. Everything for Mei Ying has to be perfect to the very last detail. Letting her group members shine in a another groups camera is what Mei Ying does without any shame. She would poke her members to show their talents on the camera, say out loud what one of her members are good at. She would take on any dare showing no embarrassment. Mei Ying has no realization of shame saying that she'd not have any honor or self-respect to be embarrassed by her actions or mistakes.

 

 

► On December 3rd 1996 Mei Ying was born in a hospital at Shanghai making her the first and the oldest child from the Liu family. It was the happiest time when she was first born making both her parents smile wide. As soon as Mei Ying turned five she started to gain interest in music especially dance, she would always show of her dance moves to her family and friends and would tell them that she'll become a successful singer when she grows up. Not so long her mother gave birth to Mei Ying's twin brothers naming them Liu Cheng Lei and Liu Cheng. After a few years  she started to like fashion by being inspired by her mother, who's a fashion designer. Mei Ying would ask her mother (Liu Mei Mei) to teach her how to make clothes for dance competitions and shows she's been recently participating. Mei Ying keeps on winning loads of prizes in her dance competitions making her have more believe in her future career.

 

When Mei Ying turned sixteen years old she's still been participating in shows and competitions wanting to improve even more. The upcoming competition that she has been practicing for was soon coming up. Mei Ying knew this was very importent for her because the judges in the competion are music company's representative's looking for future stars to lead their company. Now the date for the special day has come, she knew that he has to do this for the sake of her dreams. After the other participants has finished performing now it was Mei Ying's turn, her heart was beating as fast as it can, baboom, baboom. There she took steps towards the stage, she started to perform her dance as best as she can, few minutes have past and now Mei Ying has finished her stage. It was the end of the competition, Mei Ying was proud of herself even though no company's reached for her, all of sudden a staff came towards Mei Ying and her parents. He explained on wanting to take Mei Ying to EE- Media. Mei Ying and her parents was pleased to hear this and also very greatful, they immediately agreed to his offer. A year has passed in Mei Ying's trainee days in EE- Meida but an unfortunate problem occurred. In the past few months she has been going to the hospital to check on her ankles that got fractured, it was said by the docter that if Mei Ying continues to dance she may not be able to walk again. This was such a shock to her Mei Ying and her mother and father, they told Mei Ying to stop being a trainee and take a suggery to fix this injury. She had no choice but to say yes.

 

After the successful suggery on Mei Yings ankle, now she's able to dance again. Even though Mei Ying has been going through rough times she hasn't given up on her dreams, she decided to audition for a korean company instead as she loves korean music. First of all her parents was worried about Mei Ying's decision on this because of it being a company far located far from where they lived and Mei Ying's recent sugery but trusted her. There was a audition for sm at Shanghai so Mei Ying decided to take on this challange. It was now her turn to audition, she danced and sang to her favourite song that she thinks would showcase her talents the best. Weeks have past and now the results are in..... Mei Ying got accepted! Her family was indeed proud of her, Mei Ying's dream of becoming a star is now on track.

Sunny decided to pop in the practice room to give her some tips. As they kept on talking they've became closer. Mei Ying and Sunny sometimes spends time with each other in their free times by going shopping to their favourite places, telling each other life updates about themselves and of course talking about boys. Here comes the dirty minded jokes.... Mei Ying would tease sunny on and on about different boys making them become even more closer.

 

Best friends, Wendy | 22 | Idol at Red velvet | Kind, hard working, cheery | Wendy and Mei Ying has been close ever since their trainee years. The first person for Mei Ying to meet in her first day at sm was Wendy. She would help her if she doesn't know or understand what's happening because back then Mei Ying was a newbie in speaking korean. After a year past they'be became exctemely close. Both of them would help each other on what they need to improve in and spend their hours practicing with each other, they'd cheer for one another in monthly evaluation telling each other to never give up. Few years later it was announced that Wendy will be making her debut with the upcoming group Red velvet, this did make Mei Ying was over joyed and slightly jealouse but easily over came that. When Red velvet finaly made their debut Mei Ying and Wendy still didn't stop cheering for each other.

Back hugging bestie, Yamamoto Mikazuki | Group member in D.royals | Mei Ying loves back hugging Mikazuki as she thinks she's really squishy and soft. Mei Ying also loves bossing around and annoying Mikazuki because her expressions are entertaining to watch.

► Choreographing | Mei Ying had liked choreaographing ever since she was young and would want to teach her twin brothers a new dance routine she came up with.

► Had quite a few boyfriends in the past (five, only when she was a teenager). The shortest relationship was two days because that guy ended up realising he likes boys instead.
