white-washing

So I'm making a poster right now, and I'm using Google as my resource, and I happen to come across two photos of CL. Now they're both identical, exactly the same, but there's just one thing that bothers me. Look below:

The picture on the left is completely like white-washed. The one on the right has to be either, an edit of the white-washed photo or the original. I don't know, I'm not going to dig into it, but seeing a before and after of a photo that is white-washed sort of makes me indifferent. I mean what is wrong with the picture on the right? Nothing at all. I see no issues with this particular photo (the right) of CL. The left photo makes her looks ghostly and pale while the other is just plain natural.

My banter about this sounds so stupid, but I'm just expressing my opinion on this.

i hate it how most asian artists have the stigma of having whiter skin is better and it makes you more handsome or prettier. many artists are being whitewashed by fans and companies but there are fansites that haven't whitewashed their idols! check out @unbleachedkpop on twitter because they only post photos of idols that don't have a filter on and aren't whitewashed!

No you were absolutely right to be bothered by this. It's gross. Leave her how she really looks.

I agree to be honest. People are so brainwashed into thinking dark skin is disgusting and I wish there was a way to reverse it. Unfortunately you can't change people's mindsets.
