Problems while writing.

I don't know if anyone else faces this or not, but, I always tend to write a fic as if in a hurry. The end result is published and I edit stuff here and there. Almost a week later I realise that it's so weakly written that I have to re edit almost the entire fic again. I don't catch grammatical mistakes, wrong expression and repetitions at the first go. I know I am not a professional but it is so confusing that it irritates me. I have so many fics kept in draft format. I feel scared that the moment I publish later I have to re edit it all over again. So any tips you guys can give me as to how to reduce the error in one go?

Get a beta reader, definitely

This is one of my biggest problems if I'm honest. But what's saved me most of the time, as a lot of commenters have already pointed out, rereading the entire story word for word and slowly helps your mind to process what's written and pick up on mistakes. At least that's what I do. Very simple.

You might need to look into a beta reader that you trust and they can pick up on such mistakes. Yes as mimimimmimim mentioned grammarly is good but at the end of the day it's a computer device so if you do decide to use it, I would still personally get a beta reader just because a reader can actually put more input and give advice. So before you officially publish your story you could send it to them so they could read it, proof read all of it and give advice as well. A few beta readers might be even better as they would provide varied feedback :3
good luck to you!

I write as well and have yet to posted anything because I don't feel like I'm personally ready yet, but what I usually do for grammar, punctuation etc. is to run it through grammarly. Yes, u do need to set up an account but quite simple and it actually reads through it and catches things that don't make sense or don't go along with the sentence. The best part is that it also gives a brief explanation as to why it was incorrect so that you can learn from your mistakes. For the rushing part, unlike you, I tend to describe things too thoroughly and it ends up being boring. You can ask for a beta reader, or do what I normally do. I never finish a chapter in one go, maybe three or four different times of writing. Whenever I begin again, I reread my past work (only the chapter part not the whole story lol) and then continue. I do it every time and I always catch mistakes every time I do it. Maybe it'll help u! But I encourage grammarly
