Curious...

I have a quick question for you guys: what makes you want to upvote and/or comment on a story? Or what makes you NOT want to upvote or leave a comment on a story?

 

I've seen lots of stories (both mine and other people's) with lots of views/subscribers but almost no upvotes or comments.

 

I just find it really confusing. If you liked a story enough to subscribe to it, then surely it wouldn't hurt to leave a quick comment or click the upvote button? Maybe it's just me being weird because I'm sleep deprived.

I only upvote when i think that the story is really really really really great. So if i'm not upvote it, it's not that great (but i really love your stories). And i'll comment if i feel like have to comment.
So if my story doesn't get upvote and comment, yhen i know that my story isn't good enough.

I upvote when the story is amazing. That means: i) I read it in one seating, ii) the story is well-written in terms of language, prose, character development and plot; and iii) an unexpected plot, character twist or ending. I comment when a chapter really hits me emotionally or makes me go wow or cool. If I read the story in one seating, then I will always comment at the end. All readers can use feedback or encouragement. I know I do.

Laziness is the number one factor in not upvoting for me. I keep saying I'll upvote it later but then I forget *sigh*

Sometimes am too lazy or forget to click the upvote button. I do comments if the story is interesting (or written by my favourite author).

I upvote a story when it's a really amazing story. I comment when the story is enjoyable and worth reading again. When I do both, that means I skipped out on a meal and read the story in one sitting.

To be honest, sometimes I'm to lazy to comment, even on my fav stories. Then there are times when I'm really motivated to leave a comment, or I forget to comment^^
I subscribe when the foreword is catchy and then I read the story when I have time, sometimes I upvote and sometimes I forget to upvote :')

That's a good question, I was thinking about that for a while now. :) I actually upvote almost every story which I read because I think the writers put a lot of work in writing them and they deserve it. Of course, if I don't like it, then I won't upvote but that's very rare. And I usually comment when I have something to say about the story but you know me, I seriously comment every single time when I'm in my fangirl mood. :D

I usually upvote and comment when the story is so amazing I find myself reading it all in one sitting...that's when I'm like wow.. I need to say something ^^

I'm weird and I upvote almost all stories I subscribe to. For commenting I usually comment when I have something i want to say about that chapter, as in maybe there was a total cliffhanger or a part I really like, maybe it made me super mad of sad or happy idk. I comment when the story effects me in a way I want to talk about.

I have no idea, I never thought of upvoting anything, I just read a story and then I'm dead from feels and can't think of anything else XD But I'll try to remember to upvoting stories from now on :D
