//// the basics ////
full name / Cheon, Hojin (천호진)
alias(es) /
► The Other Twin; Hojin has found himself to be rarely called by his name, in school and with relatives that weren't his immediate family- Aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, great aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc. He's used to it by now.
► ; He is often misunderstood. Since he has a hard time interacting with people, he says things that can be taken in a very inappropriate way so his friends have come to call him this.
► Jinnie-hyung; Hoon used to call him this, he did ever since they were kids. He rarely called him anything else.
► Coward; That's what Jinho thinks of him. A coward, and many of his classmates in the past have thought and called him the same thing. He's nothing more than one, it seems.

► Hojin has two different tattoos, the first he got at eighteen years old, and the second just after Hoon died. The first is a cat on his forearm (He almost regrets this one since the cat looks so dumb) that he got while drunk in the US. Yeah, his parents weren't so thrilled when he came back from the trip. The second is the word free, which is connected to a bird. He'd been planning on getting that one for a while, so after Hoon's death seemed like a pretty good time. He got a lot of for it, though, considering the content. His parents accused him of being happy his brother was dead, and he didn't tell them otherwise. They could think what they wanted. He has three piercing in his right ear, and four in the left. He's known for his height in his university classes, and his weight is on the lower side of healthy (But still within it), though Hoon was always smaller. He works out and is very active, so he has pretty nice abs, and just body in general. He may be attractive, but it's hard when someone used to have the same face as you and had the better personality.

character traits /
► positive: Intuitive, active, self-reliant, fair, honest, disciplined
► neutral: Emotional, sentimental, romantic
► negative: Weak-willed, moody, repressed, conventional, procrastinating, superficial

elaboration /
► Hojin may have a lot of good to him, but there are definitely some reasons why people simply don't like him. The biggest? He's moody. Like, really moody. He changes emotions dramatically and expects others to make these changes with him. Be it happy to sad, excited to miserable, it doesn't matter, he'll change in an instant. His mood changed are sporadic and can be offputting if you're not close to him- Even if you are, really. One little thing going wrong can change his whole day and it's hard for others to keep up with. And while he may be moody, he does it in a quieter way, which can be more frustrating to deal with, thanks to his childhood. He grew up repressed, and still doesn't show his emotions that easily. He's normally the kind to keep his thoughts and feelings to himself, normally in fear of being rejected. Since he was a child, Hojin was taught by his parent's actions that his feelings, his emotions were not of importance and he should not be bothering others with them. He has those kinds of words ingrained so deeply in his mind that he's never thought to change this. However, these two traits together cause a lot of people to call him underhanded, passive agressive, because you can certainly feel it but he waits until you say something instead. This is untrue, just unfortunate because he has had that kind of upbringing. Had he grown up in a loving environment, he would have been much like his brother. Instead, he is weak-willed and quiet. Hojin will never actively fight for his rights or his life, instead chosing to walk through and hope for the best. He doesn't like fighting and will stand their quietly, taking the blame and your ugly words. He doesn't ever go against someone's opinion of him or those he cares for, and Hojin just...Gives in. To temptation, other's will, his feelings. If his mind says, "I'm tired." he'll go straight to bed. If someone says, "No, let's do it my way," all he says is, "Okay." It's painful to watch, because he hasn't and may never stand up for himself. As a loved one, how can you stand watching that?

► Being conventional doesn't seem good or bad to many, until you see the length that Hojin takes it to, Without trying, Hojin has taken to following the rules again, 100%. Despite having more of a wild time in high school, ever since his health scare he's been living plainly. He doesn't take any risks or have fun nowadays, instead fitting into his role as boss and florist of Mes Fleurs perfectly. Nothing ever changes with him or his daily life- Hoon's suicide was the first variable in a long time. Despite this orderly life, he's the kind to procrastinate beyond acceptability. Hojin causes himself and others problems, yet simply apologizes and promises to fix it in the end. He doesn't do anything worthwhile because when he decides to, he never gets to the end of the road. If, in the end, he does get to doing something, it's based on his superficiality. The reason he first started liking flowers is because he found their appearance valuable. Now it's something deeper than that, but Hojin tends to judge at face value. He finds attractive things worth more, and would rather by a motorcycle that looked better than one that was safer, better built. He prefers things because of their surface, not what's behind it, which is why he can never say he's fallen in love. Seeing beyond that outer layer isn't necessary to him. Flaws are something that bother him and he doesn't like to deal with him. Hojin does recognize this as a problem, however, and that is definitely the first step to fixing such a problem. Expectedly, he doesn't want it to be a problem and, naturally, avoids the topic and the root of his superficiality, which would have to do with being the "lesser" and "other" twin. No one can say he hasn't tried, because he certainly has. Being superficial causes a lot of guilt within him. However, he's still looking through overly biased eyes.

► Despite being all but told he isn't allowed to have feelings without getting in trouble, Hojin is emotional. He was born a sensitive soul that takes criticism to heart and his first inclination is an outburst of emotions. Of course this doesn't happen, but he feels it all and keeps it inside, which is definitely worse. Being emotional is like being surrounded by bubbles- There are a lot of them, countless even. But one small comment, or action, or look can pop one, two, three, or all of them. They get popped one by one, leaving you to feel more and more exhausted until you're bare. If you are able to show your emotions easier, as these bubbles pop, you would express something and there would be new bubbles to replace the old ones. If you can't, though, then you get left with misshappen replacement bubbles, some too big, some too small, and all wanting to burst already because they hurt so badly. Hojin could only fit into the latter, and like most, he denies it. However, you can really tell because of his empathy and sympathy, and his sentimentality. Hojin has a difficult time letting go of things because every object he owns seems to have some sort of emotional value to them. It could be a shirt be bought in senior year or a seashell he found a few days ago at the beach, it means a lot to him and you can't possibly get rid of it. Hoon was one of the few people who understood this kind of trait, and Hojin was grateful for that. Despite everything you'd expect, Hojin is really a romantic guy. Candle-lit dinners, sweet lines and buckling your seatbelt for you, he's really into all of it. He believes in treating a lady right so long as she's pretty and will lecture you if you don't do it right. Hojin loves to show a girl a romantic, warm time. Walking on the beach at night, cuddling in winter by a fireplace and drinking hot chocolate, an expensive restaurant, a sporadic date eating streetfood at midnight, they're all amazing to him.

► All in all, Hojin's best thing going for him personality-wise is his intuitivity. He's alert and is the first to pick up something wrong with someone he knows- Normally. Clearly Hoon didn't have the luxury of being given such attention from his brother He can pick up on social clues pretty easily. Hojin tends to use the power of reasoning to reach an answer in a situation and can come to a conclusion quickly thanks to being intuitive. He can be on guard at any moment to find out the flaw in someone's behavior, be it suddenly or gradually, a dangerous situation or a subtle one. He may be more introverted, but he's very active and spends a lot of his time outside. He likes sports and living a healthy life. He feels uncomfortable when he isn't moving around and doing things. Hojin tends to busy himself with many mundane tasks, just to keep himself busy and never slowing down. He's happier occupying himself than having freetime, because being busier gets more things done and at the end of the day, he can say he feels very productive and like he did something important. Hojin thinks that's something really necessary to life, feeling productive and as though you may have helped someone or done something important. It makes life feel fuller. He's very honest with himself and others, lying makes him feel kind of dirty in a sense. He hates it and tries to tell people the truth without being too blunt. In order to have good relationships (If his research is correct in any way) you have to be honest with the other person, and he's taken this advice to heart. He's never anything but honest with others.

► He, admittedly, grew up in an environment where he was taught how to behave in any and all situations and it's taken him far. Hojin isn't the kind to have outbursts, especially in bad timings. He's the kind that keeps it together, stays cool and collected when others are freaking out or just don't know how to react. It's not like he's putting on a mask, no- He knows that there are more proper times to express his feelings and instead choses to control himself. Hojin knows exactly how to do that- He's not like Jinho, who clearly acts on impulse. (/shade) It's better to control yourself and not cause problems for other, being strong in harsh situations can make you someone's savior because you could be the support center they needed. Hojin isn't very fond of doing that himself, though. He's very self-reliant and looks towards himself for advice and answers. Hojin was never shown much care growing up, so he leanred how to do it for himself. He's always made his own meals, taken care of himself when he was ill, did well in school all on his own, and simply knows how to best support himself. He can solely rely on himself and his judgements, and doesn't need to borrow money anymore which is something he's totally proud of. Hojin is a fair person, and always paid those who who helped him out back. He is the kind that makes the choices that are best for the masses, even if they're not the best for himself. His (Few) friends often go to him to sort out fights, because he can decide fair terms and agreements. Hojin's just that kind of guy, he hates seeing all the unfairness in the world. Right now, the biggest unfairness that's bothering him is that his baby brother isn't still around. Isn't that just the worst thing you've heard?

background
► Cheon Hojin was born as the older of twins, the younger being Cheon Hoon. Twins were not common in his family, they'd happened twice decades ago, and they were the result of in-vitro fertilization, though it was just the egg splitting. In the womb, Hoon and Hojin also shared a placenta, which had lead the doctors to believe they were completely identical. Sharing a placenta could have some bad results, and those results were Hoon being underweight and in the hospital for three months after being born. Hojin stayed with a family friend during those months, not that he recalls obviously. Throughout his childhood, though, he'd stay with them pretty often. This was a stressful time for his parents, as they had one healthy baby and one sickly baby. After Hoon came home from the hospital, Hojin went with his parents and went to his home for the first time. His brother was favored from the start, because his parents had more to worry about, being the "baby" of the family and being smaller. The family friends he'd stayed with, the Lee's, oftentimes came to visit and saw the unfair treatment. The wife offered to stay with them while she was pregnant under the pretense of getting used to caring for a baby again, and took care of Hojin well. However, once she had her second son, she had to once again return to her own home. Hojin was never quite neglacted, but he definitely recieved less love and attention at home. Hoon loved to play with him, though, and they were very close as children. Despite the fact that they had seperate rooms, they would oftens sneak into each other's beds at night, normally Hoon going into Hojin's. However, Hoon wasn't allowed outside much as a kid, and Hojin would beg Hojin to stay inside and play together. This, coupled with his parent's lack of care towards him, made Hojin have a hard time communicating as he got older. The poor kid simply didn't know how to talk to those outside of his brother.

► Once the twins started school, things went up for Hoon and down for Hojin. They seemed like complete opposites where they used to be similar. They were, at first, both popular for being "cool" because they were twins. However, the other kids quickly realized that Hoon was the one to go to, because Hojin was shy and awkward. Even way back then, he was known as "the other twin." Hoon got all of the attention, everywhere. Grocery shopping? Aw, what a cute little active kiddie! Clothes shopping? Oh, Hoon would look much better in that shirt than the other one would, give it to him. It was hard on Hojin, but whenever Hoon would run up to him, yelling "Jinnie hyung!"? Well, Hojin found himself accepting his fate. When his family friends would visit, though, he found something amazing- Their second child, Lee Taemin, prefered to hang out with him. He was pretty adorable, though pretty feminine kid, and he understood that Hojin wasn't easy to communicate with. He didn't mind it, though, and intead talked enough for the both of them, though sometimes he wouldn't know what to say. However, Taemin was his only true friend for years, as he would just trail behind Hoon and his brother's friends would "be his" as well, but everyone knew the truth. Hojin grew up with a pretty bad attitude, and did only average in school. Hoon, of course, did very well and was liked by every. Single. Teacher. Naturally, the two were compared a lot. Hojin had well given into the endlessly repeating cycle of his life and didn't bother trying to make any friends, he knew he wasn't good at it and no one wanted him as a friend anyway. He stopped trying to please his parents and his family. He just let life continue, and he was a knight being controlled on a chessboard- He always ended up losing after the first few turns of the game.

► In high school, things changed a bit again. Hojin found himself an interesting hobby- Motorcycles. He only rode safely, but he loved the thrill of it. Hoon was a tad bit uffput, considering he never in a milion years thought that his quite elder brother would ever indulge in, and mostly enjoy, something so dangerous. It seemed out of character, but he supported his hyung. Hojin had finally found a release and he enjoyed it. In high school as well, he found more than just Taemin as a genuine friend. There were a few people that knew his brother that wanted to actually know him. He was surprised but grateful. However, he made no effort to particularly be friendly with them. He figured his attitude would scare them off, but TheBusinessPartner in particular wouldn't leave him alone. She wanted to get closer to him and they became fairly close, though in the end Hoon of course was closer. Hojin never regretted how he treated Hoon's high school friends, though, because high school was the only time he was truly satisfied in his life. Hojin did much better in high school than he had the other schools and actually had straight A's. High school, somehow, ended up actually being the best years of his life, and Hojin embraced them. He wasn't any more social or had an easier time with socialization than he had previously, but he tried actually living life- A bit of underage drinking and , being generally rebellious but carefully so. Nothing was as good to him as riding, though. His motorcycle that he saved up years to buy was the most important thing to him, and he'd spend his weekends on the track. There was actually nothing better than that to him. Those were his happiest days. Hojin and Hoon graduated, and went to America for two weeks. Hojin got his tattoo, Hoon got totally smashed, and they had a great time. There he learned a lot about plants, since the family he stayed with owned a garden open to the public. They became his secondary passion.

► At age nineteen, Hojin realized he needed to start taking responsibility for himself- His parents favored Hoon anyway, so he needed to stop mooching off of them if he was going to prove anything. He moved out to live on his own, and started going to university. He studied biology and genetics, but with three part-time jobs just to pay bills, it was tough. Already in tons of debt, Hojin moved into a cheap, moldy apartment in the bad side of town, and quit university at age twenty-one. He wishes more than anything that he could continue, but there was no way if he wanted to be able to keep a (Shabby) roof over his head. He worked as a waiter, a mechanic, and a florist. In that time he started to lose contact with Hoon and their friends, and even Taemin. He simply didn't have time, and he thought that was understood by everyone. Once again Hojin felt akin to a fragile flower against a hurricane- He couldn't do anything to stop the whirlwind his life brought, and it certainly wasn't doing him any favors. Hojin got barely any sleep, ate granola bars for every meal, and energy drinks were the only thing he drank to keep him awake. He'd love to go to his brother's cafe, but alas, it was too expensive to get a damned double chocolate hot chocolate with two shots of expresso, the very drink that he'd made for Hoon in senior year during finals that inspired his brother to open the coffee shop with TheBusinessPartner. So Hojin went through life with artificial energy and smiles.

► Hojin collapsed on June 11th, 2014 and was in the hospital for three weeks. Why? He was severly malnutrioned and dehydrated, and he'd been vomiting regularly for quite a few weeks without telling anyone, because he didn't feel like it was important. Obviously it was, and it was thanks to those energy drinks. After being stuck in the hospital for over a month, Hojin had one of his jobs (As a waiter) and his apartment. All of his things had been put in the storage he'd set up in case something happened. As being a waiter had been his biggest money-maker, Hojin was at a loss. He couldn't possibly pay the hospital bills, and where would be live now? The Lee's once again offered their home to him, and Hojin had no choice but to accept the invitation, though guiltily. With a mix of his saving, Hoon's money, and the Lee's money, they paid the hospital bills within a few months. Now twenty-three, Hojin's boss at the flower shop approached him with an offer. He was getting too old, he had a hard time moving around and he had no children. Mr. Geun said he would be willing to hand his shop over to Hojin, and that would include the apartment above it, which he could rent out or keep for himself. Hojin, who loved flowers, agreed immediately and began to learn how to run the business from Mr. Geun. Once they were both satisfied, everything was given to Hojin, and Mr. Geun moved into the elderly home less than a block away. Everything in his will goes to Hojin. Since then, Hojin has rented out the apartment, choosing to sleep in the office until he has enough money to pay for food more comfortably. The shop is very popular, it already was, and he was able to keep his co-worker Mihyun with him, and they recently hired Junyong.

► Life was busy, now becoming a boss instead of being run by one, and Hojin just didn't have time for anyone. He's occasionally shoot a text to his brother, asking how he was, but had to decline any invitations or simply couldn't reply. When the renter of his apartment, Taehyung, came into his office and woke him up to take a phonecall, he was beyond shocked to hear the words that Taeseun, the Lee's eldest son, spoke to him. Hojin felt like a fool, never bothering to truly check up on his brother, never taking up his offers to hang out- He must have been desperate, Hojin realized, Desperate for someone to look at him and love him. He must have felt like I did. Hojin tried to stay strong. Yes, his precious baby brother was gone, yes, dead, yes, suicide, but life couldn't stop. He had a business to run and people to pay and a life to lead. TheBestFriend was inconsolable, and it was up to Hojin to tell his brother's closest friends. He went to TheBusinessPartner first, the very next morning, and told her what happened. There were a lot of tears, because the two were still pretty close despite everthing, and he spent hours with her. When he left, Hojin didn't think he could handle telling anyone else for the day, and decided that today was the day to get his new tattoo.

► Hojin thought it would fit well, and went to his normal place. He then went home to sleep for the rest of the day. He left Mihyun and Junyong in charge of the shop for the week. The day after, he went to the TheCounselor. Being in love with Hoon, she was devastated but, truthfully? Hojin didn't want to waste any time, he'd never liked her and the way she'd clung to his brother, and left her in her tears. He made his way to TheFlowerGirl, literally pulling her out of class to tell her. He mused on their relationship a bit on his way- They both had a love for flowers, worked with them, but never did talk often. He hoped maybe this experience would make them closer. He offered to take her home and she agreed. After dropping her off with condolences, he decided his last stop for the day was TheAlcoholic. He really, really didn't want to see them, because they were always drunk and he hated it. Surprisingly, they were sober, but after a few clipped words with the information, Hojin left. Tomorrow would be saved for Jinho, and when he arrived, the kid thought it was a joke. Hojin was frustrated and repeated he was telling the truth, which earned him a punch. Were he not so emotionally exhausted, he would of hit back, but Hojin took it as Jinho understanding and left. He slept the rest of the day.

Dislikes
► Eggs, they're really gross
► The scent of paint
► Oh, and of any marker, scented or not. They all give him headaches.
► Cleaning, it's a huge pain. Like, at first just a little tidying up is fine, but then when you get down to, like, scrubbing the roat and dusting cabinets, it stresses him out.
► Smoking, he did it a few times as a teen and it's seriously bad. Bleh!

habits
► Swallowing a lot when nervous
► Picking at scabs obsessively
► Mumbling when he's talking to someone who makes him feel like less (Which is just about everybody)
► Chewing on his upper lip when thinking

hobbies
► Riding his motorcycle, he's loved it for years. He feels freedom
► Sports, any type is fun and he's all-around good at them anyways
► Collecting seashells, he has to have hundreds, if not thousands of them. He mostly keeps them all in fabric bags, the bigger ones used as decor in his office/room.

triva /
► He will admit to having a crush on his and Hoon's fifth grade teacher. Hoon awlays about it.
► Hojin is terrified of getting lost, it's his worst fear. Seriously, that one time when he was seven and got lost in the aquarium was seriosuly scarring.; Good thing Taemin found him.
► There was a rumor in his high school about a guy that was brutally murdered in the second-floor library that is still around to this day. It may or may not have been caused by Hojin and a joke he may have told TheCounselor when she asked something stupid about it.
► Truthfully, Hojin prefers headphones to earbuds. They may not be as convenient, but they don't at least murder your ears.
► He's not a huge fan of red meat and mostly only eats in in dishes where it's not the main component. Hojin really likes chicken of all kinds, though.
► Taemin is still his best friend, Hoon's friends are just...Friends to him. Nothing near the level with Taemin. However, he's busy and they rarely see each other anymore.
► He hates anything with normal mocha in it. White mocha is the only acceptable version of it.
► Hojin has this weird superstition where he thinks that if you tuck your thumbs in while walking past a hearse, you'll keep yourself safe from spirits. No one knows where he got it.
► Once, Hoon and Hojin had a prank war (Neither one). Hojin went so far as to lock Hoon in a closet. Hoon, in realitation, put neon-colored powder in his showerhead. Needless to say, Hojin was stained for a few hours. It's one of his fondest memories.
► Puppies are cute but also too much work, so Hojin really doesn't understand when people adopt them. Basically any other animal is a lot more work.
► Hojin really really wants a turtle, by the way. Thought that was important to point out. XD He talks about them a lot.
► Hojin's favorite movie is definitely Because I Said So (He's into chick-flicks). He's fluent in English anyway, so he doesn't mind wathcing it ninety times over even if others don't understand.
//// the plotline ////
funeral / When Hojin showed up at the funeral, everyone was shocked, scandalized even. What was he wearing?! He rarely wore light-colored clothes, and he'd decided to wear them to the funeral. A white T-shirt paired with a blue and white striped button-up, ripped jeans and tennis shoes. He carried his brother's casket like that, and felt no regret. Why? Because he felt like his brother deserved him to be casual and normal. Hojin was grieving, yes, but thought of his baby brother and decided to do what would make him happy. Hojin cried as he spoke about the kind of person his brother was, he cried a lot. He was going to miss the person who had supported him through everything, the one that had been with him his whole life. He cried again when his brother was being buried, but he never really went through those seven stages of grief. He was shocked when he hear, and then accepted it not too long later. He couldn't possibly be hung up over it, what good would that do? He cracked a few jokes, so outside of his personality, during the funeral, and tried to be cheerful. At the funeral he was judged a lot, but so long as he and Hoon understood, then that was what mattered.
past / Hoon and Hojin grew up closely, despite it all. Hoon was really attatched to his older brother for the first few years of their lives, and loved him unconditionally his whole life. Hojin rarely, if ever, felt resentment towards Hoon for their parents' and classmates' and teachers' favoritism towards the younger. It wasn't something that Hoon controlled, he was just the kind of person that naturally attracted others, and Hojin wasn't. He never idolized his brother, either. He saw them as equals, and rightfully should. Hojin admired how much of a people-person he was, but that was just...Normal. It was the same admiration he had towards himself for being active and fit. He was the kind of brother that would treat Hoon if he had the time and money, though normally it went the other way around. Hoon used to say that "Jinnie hyung's my inspiration!" because a lot of drinks on the menu of his coffee shop were his elder brother's idea. Hoon also found himself admired his elder brother's strength and determination, though he never vocalized it to him. The brothers truly loved each other, and Hojin didn't purposefully shut out his brother, he was just too busy getting his life on track to notice that it was cruel.
present / Hojin...Has become tired again. There has been more and more times where he could close up shop early or leave it with Junyong and Mihyun just so he can sleep. He also goes riding more often, since his motorcycle hasn't been used for anything other than transportation. He did something quite shocking, however- He painted his interpretation of Hoon's suicide. This caused some panic from Mihyun and Junyong, but he assured them he just needed to let his mind's thoughts out. Depsite being good at it, Hojin hates drawing and painting, so he keeps the picture in a binder he sitll has from senior year. He goes to the coffee shop a lot more often and has basically given up on his parents, who blame him for Hoon's death. They honestly called him during the shop hours to yell at him about how much they hate him, how he wanted Hoon to die and he should die himself. Taehyung took the phone and yelled at them back, ignoring Hojin's tears and sending him to his office so he could cry alone. Since then, Hojin knows their love will never be his, and the small hope was killed. He feels a lot freer now, but despite everything is having a hard time dealing with Hoon's death. Hojin hates knowing he'll never see his brother smile or hear him laugh or be generally stupid again.

So there's an uneven amount of characters, so I'm assuming someone won't have a love interest? I dunno. -Shrug- But since there's one more guy than the girls. Or maybe they'll get with this Min character.
So basically I imagine Hoon like this and Hojin like this. XD
