personality traits.  Adventurous, passionate, competitive,, impulsive, blunt,  gullible, down-to-earth, silly, goofy, outgoing, sociable, positive, bubbly, talkative, caring, self-conscious, clumsy (very clumsy)

personality.  Seol is extremely passionate and adventurous. She loves thrilling and dangerous things such as roller coasters, travelling, scary movies, but she gets scared and nervous while doing all of those things. She gets scared easily yet hates admitting it, but she can adjust and learn something new extremely quickly. Seol is extremely competitive and the only reason she gets angry is when she gets angry at herself for not being able to do something right. She is blunt and gullible, so her friends joke and play tricks on her all the time; she's goofy and silly so she always plays pranks on her friends too. She hates people who are/seem fake and tends to point it out. She loves talking and making new friends; sometimes people make fun of her for being too loud, but her friends love her because she's rarely in a bad mood and even if she is, she doesnt show it because she doesn't like ruining other people's days. She is extremely unconfident and tends to fall into depressing slumps, yet doesn't tell anyone but her boyfriend or her close friends about it. She always tries her best to be acknowledged by everyone so she smiles when she doesnt want to, practices harder then others, and is always kind to others (Even if they are rude to her) She laughs it off when people are rude to her so her friends always stick up for her. She is closer with guys than girls because secretly she is scared of girls (Because she thinks they judge her)

background.  As a child, her sister and brothers were always over-achievers, and she was always compared to them. This brought down her self-esteem but she never told anyone. She always tried her hardest and always beat herself down when she couldn't be the best. She never cried in front of anyone so her family and friends always thought she had no worries and was always happy but deep down she was always sad. When she moved to Korea because of family/money issues, she was sent alone but she never complained to her family because she didn;t want to stress her family out any further so she took all the burden and kept it to herself. Being the Maknae of the family, she never spoke about her problems and always shared/gave up what she wanted for her siblings.

In America, she started pursuing her dream for music (She always had the dream yet her family expected her to be a nuse/doctor so she never told them. Also, her siblings were pursuing a music/entertainment career so her family didn't want her to go to the same path). She took lessons, met up with her friends in karaoke, attended festivals, and posted videos on Youtube and Tumblr to make herself known. By the time she went back to Korea, her siblings had already become idols and she just had to follow them. 

Seol was actually found by a small modeling entertainment and she did a few jobs for commercials and modeling; she was then found by Bighit entertainment but she quit after a few years and auditioned for Cube Ent to follow her brother and she made it.

– habits: Seol tends to bite her nails or just play with her fingers when she's nervous. When she's extremely nervous, sad, or angry, she pinches herself or bites her lip to the point where she bleeds. She tends to space out alot when she thinks; she gets confused extremely easily (her most commonly used phrase is "I'm confused.")
– etc.: Seol tends to have depressing slumps from time to time which causes her to stop eating; she never alerts anyone about these slumps which has caused her to be sent to the ER multiple times. Seol also has a fear of the Ocean (Thalassophobia) and the fear of Failure or rejection (Atychiphobia)

– Older Brother :: Hong Joon (24) / Model; tutor for kindergartners / Cocky, playful, rebellious, cute, outgoing, loud, rambunctious, unpredictable / Seol jokes around with him most of the time; he always bothers Seol when they're together

– Older Brother :: Hong Yeol  (21) / Idol trainee / Silly, down-to-earth, tsundere, cocky, passionate, rebellious, hot-tempered  / Seol gets advice from Yeol; being the closest to each other (age wise) they lean on each other for support

– Best Friend :: Kim Taehyung (21) / Idol /  4D, silly, dramatic, caring, understanding, funny  /  In the short period of time when Seol was a trainee at Bighit, she was trainees alongside BTS. She eventually befriended all of them but mostly V and Jungkook

– Best Friend :: Yook Sungjae (21) / Idol /  Unique, funny, hilarious, hard wordking, talented, cocky  /  SInce Seol is a trainee at Cube, she also befriended BtoB (her brother's group) She became especially close to Yook Sungjae who was close to her age

– Best Friend :: Kwon Euntaek (23) / part time model; Student / Kind, caring, respectful, goofy, quiet, but loud near friends /  She befriended him when she started modeling. Trainee Years: 4 Years total (1.5 Year at Bignit; 2.5 years at Cube)

Seol was first casted by Bighit along with BTS (when they were trainees/ when she was 15). However, she didnt feel like she was pursuing music, she felt like she was just being a face; visual (They wanted her to get surgery) so she left and auditioned for Cube, who then accepted her and let her sing and dance how she wanted without straining her on her looks. After a few years at Cube, the director told her to take part in Coalesce, in which she gladly/butnervously agreed to.

   Just a few questions

Why do you think you were picked to take part in this global project? I think I was picked because first of all, I could speak korean and english fluently and I am well of aware of both cultures. Even if I am not extermely special ethnicity wise, I feel like even though it is a "global" project, there should be at least one full korean who could fight off all the haters who say that foreigners can't speak korean.

What makes you different compared to the other 6 girls? I was born in Korea so I can fully speak Korean comfortably; I have a satoori accent which people say is my charm. Im really down to Earth to people say I could be fit for the entertainment/variety show area. I already have many experiences (Modeling, cameos in dramas, variety show WGM) so I think I could help the other members adjust easily to the entertainment business

What can you bring to Coalesce? I could bring joy, positivity to Coalesce. I also love having fun so I can bring the silliness or carefree style to Coalesce. I also love music and tend to follow my passions/heart so I can bring a sort of uniqueness to the group

What does Coalesce mean to you?. Coalesce means a new adventure, a new experience, and something that can compeltely change my life and make me into a better, talented, and experienced person. I also feel like this could be the start of a new family, and a close friendship

Do you think this is a good way to get foreigners to join kpop? Yes, I do believe it is because foreigners might be intimidated by KPOP seeing that there are only asians (and also some foreigners think that all Koreans look the same XD) so I think bringing different ehtnicities to the entertainmnt industry is a good idea to spread the hallyu wave to the world.

last words.  hey!? Xd so hi. this is my first applyfic and I'm actually serioiusly excited!!! This took me two-three hours and wew it was really fun !!!!!!!!
