How do you feel editing your story?

Just like on one my other blogs, this time it's about grammar. Like in one of my stories, the grammar was alright but I realized how much better some sentences would flow if I switched around this with that. And then, I fixed a tiny plot hole and took out an unnecessary short paragraph xD.

 

How does it feel editing a story you've edited before while noticing things like that?

Frustrating sometimes. It's great to catch all the mistakes but sometimes I wonder if I can ever be 100% satisfied. I mean, I've gone back to a chapter I've edited 3 or 4 times and still find something else I want to edit. Argh!

When I proofread the first time, I feel accomplished because I'm fixing the errors and making my story better, and I think "imagine if I had posted that? *shudders*". But after several rereads, I get bored of my own story and am cringing and being overcritical Otl lol

its horrible
i absolutely hate it and avoid it altogether whenever possible lol
editing my own writing is like listening to a recording of my own singing. its painful
