Faceclaim: Mimi of Oh My Girl
Back-up Faceclaim: Sowon of GFriend

Appearance: Jihae, rightfully, is her mind, a lead visual of Trigger, and she's always sure to own it. She always takes care of her body and is sure to eat healithly, even if she's not allowed to eat much. At 48 kg and 168 cm, Jihae is definitely underweight, but that's the company's expectation and she can't afford to defy them in any way. Her hair is always her natural brown, soft and full of volume. Her skin is well taken care of thanks an intense routine. Admittedly, Jihae did get plastic surgery for her nose, but this was of her own free will and not pressured by her company, though it was their suggestion. She got her nose done at seventeen years old, and she doesn't have many childhood photos, so it's really hard to prove whether she did or not. Despite her age, Jihae has a very nice figure and it known for her thin thighs. Jihae's eyes are naturally slightly double-lided and her lips are perfectly shaped with a pretty pink color. Her teeth are nearly as perfect as can be. She has a good ten piercings per ear.

expanded personality. Honestly? Above all, Jihae is very ambitious. She wants what she wants, and she's going to get there. This is simply how she is- Jihae strives to be the top in her class, to be the best trainee, to surpass her brother.  This is due to her competitiveness- A family trait, it seems. With her older brother a world-class idol and her best friend a famous Cube soloist, she's got a lot to live up to, and she intends on doing it. Jihae is quite optimistic, and thus she believes she and others can do anything. This optimism is a key part of her personality, always shining through in even the worst of situations. Jihae is highly independent, though, so she's likes to do things for herself. The moment she can, Jihae's moving out to live on her own. She's best when alone.
Jihae is very forgiving. She's not the kind of person who holds grudges- They simply eat her up, and thus she doesn't see any reason to hold them. She's normally the first to apologize, and isn't afraid to says she's wrong. She is a very rational person, and always makes the decisions that are best for everyone. Jihae gets all the facts and accepts her shortcomings, unlike many. A lot of this rationality helped her mostly beat her anxiety. She's also highly adaptable- Jihae can change herself to fit any situation, and that's not an exaggeration. From her personality, to appearance to her attitude and facial expression. Depending on who's around, Jihae can show her most favorable traits more than her less-than-desirable ones. It's strange, how she can seem to change to please others. It pisses a few people off, though.
This girl is very honest. She doesn't like to tell lies, nor speak only half-truths. Jihae feels that lies only complicate things and hurts others, and thus her ever telling a lie is something rare and unbelieveable to those who know her. She would only lie to help others. Jihae  is a very unconventional kind of girl. She likes to do things in her own strange way, which, while it weirds out other people, works well. She tends to do things in her own little weird way. Jihae is a very athletic person. She lives and breathes sports- Be it soccer, basketball, gymnastics, it doesn't matter. Sports always excite her, and she's always the first to the practice rooms, be is midnight or three in the morning. A lesser trait of her, but nothing that makes her an awful person is her ertedness. She openly stared at hot guys, and isn't afraid to admit her ual attraction to them.
She always makes the dirtiest jokes the make some trainees blush, some laugh, and some totally exasperated. Somehow, Jihae has ended up as a very selfish person. She often prefers does things if they benefit her in some way, and good luck getting her to let you borrow something, much less share. She believes looking out for number one. Jihae simply finds it better to care about herself than other people. She's highly irresponsible, and doesn't see the problem with it. It's not uncommon to hear Jihae say something like, "Responsibility isn't for me," or, "No, someone else can do it." She never takes the responsibility she needs to for her actions, which is something awful about her. She's very unorganized, and lays the blame on that as to why she can't take responsibility for things. "I might lose your phone if you give it to me," or, "Last time Unnie told me to watch her money, we didn't find it for three months."
And it's true. She can't keep all of her things organized and where she can find them. She's such a worrier- "Unnie was supposed to be home an hour ago, why isn't she here yet? Did something happen?" "Ah, did I leave the stove on? I bet I did, the house is gonna burn down!" Those kinds of thoughts are always on her mind. It's in her nature to worry. Jihae is indecisive about many things, and despite her critical and selfish personality, she relies on others to help her or make her decisions for her. Making decisions is something that scares her- What if she makes the wrong one? Though she always looks at the positive, there's always that little voice in the back of her mind, a lingering anxiety from childhood, letting her know all the ways this once choice can mess up. Jihae tends to be very temperamental because of this and just because it's who she is. She's often touchy, and almost always to get angry easily. She can be fine one minute, and totally blow the next.

background. Kim Jihae was born in Daegu, South Korea at 3:58 a.m., the older of a pair of twins, but just a few weeks later she and her twin shipped off to live with family friends in a small town in California. Her mother was very sick after her two pregnancies and her father was always working. Her grandmother already caring for their's older brother, Kibum, and her mother didn't want to force yet another two babies onto the elderly woman. So thus she went to live with the Park's in America. She was given the name of Evire Grey Alexander, while her younger sister (Korean name being Kim Jiyu) Everette Elizabeth Alexander. They became know as the "adopted siblings" of Yunseo Park, Jihae's best friend in the world- Jiyu prefered to make friends with their neighbors. Yunseo is a year younger than Jihae, so it was trouble to teach her that, no, this wasn't her new baby sister, she was just her friend. Jihae adored Yunseo to death, and they grew up doing everything together. She has little contact with her family, and never really thought about them. She found the Parks to be her family, in all honesty. Together, Jihae and Yunseo explored many interests and found that they were quite partial to music. Problem was, Jihae wasn't that good vocally.
Yunseo, however, was, which incited some jealousy from Jihae. She was entirely jealous that Yunseo had the talent that she didn't, the talent she wanted. This caused a huge rift in their relationship, something that both previous could connect about becoming something that caused animosity. When Jihae was eleven, her mother was healthy enough to take Jihae and Jiyu back, so while still quarrling with Yunseo, Jihae left all that she knew to live in Korea. Luckily, the Parks spoke Korean at home, so she was accustomed to and knew the language. What she wasn't ready for, however, was the culture shock. Everything was so immesnely different. Sure, the Parks held onto a lot of Korean tradition and cluture, but it was all altered by America in some way. She wasn't prepared for how different everything was- How could she have?
And she was even less prepared for having an older brother. In all honestly, she'd all but forgotten about him during her life, so the fact that ther was this loud, fashion-obsessed guy who doesn't think about many consequences was her brother, well, it didn't sit well with her, especially since he wanted to immediately be her best friend. Imagine her shock when she found out he was trainning under the SM Entertainment. She immediately wanted to distance herself. However, Kibum would have none of that. He did whatever he could to get close to her, and within a few months Jihae couldn't deny that he'd wormed his way into her heart. As for her birth parents, however, she never really got close with them and to this day barely speaks with them. The very next year, Kibum debuted in SHINee. It was on her way home from his debut stage that she was scouted by NEITA Entertainment. NEITA was a failing company who was scouting anyone pretty off the streets. Jihae was thrilled and without talking to anyone, went through audition rounds.
Well, she wasn't good, but she wasn't awful enough too reject her when she was so pretty, so she was accepted. She immediately went to her mother, asking if she would let her sign to the company. It took a little bit of pushing but her mother agreed. By early 2010, Jihae was debuting with Pretty Girl. Kbum was quite unhappy, particularly with their concept- It was all a whole bunch of visuals, some with talent, most not. He knew the reaction they would get and he actually pitied Jihae, though he never told her. After a barely known debut that only got attention thanks to Minho and SM, Jihae was a bit disheartened but she wasn't ready to give up. She worked hard to help with the lyrics to make their comeback a success. While it got some attention, it was a loss of a member and an only-okay comeback song that led to their disbandment. Jihae was really depressed after her contract was cut, and at the time Kibum was too busy with his own promotions to comfort her. However, there was one thing that really cheered her up- The very girl she grew up with, Park Yunseo, and her family were moving to Seoul. Immediately Jihae asked her parents to move in with them.
They were hurt by her eagerness, but at the same time they understood and sent her on her way. Both Yunseo and Jihae burst into tears at the sight of each other. They hadn't spoken since Jihae left for Korea, and then they'd been fighting, so it was a sad way to say goodbye. Yunseo felt regret that Jihae has debuted and disbanded, and felt guilty when she told her that they'd moved to Korea since her audition for Cube had been accepted. Unexpectedly, Jihae was only happy for her and supported her by bringing her meals during painfully long hours of training, taking care of her when she was sick, helping her with schoolwork, etc. Jihae only wanted the best for her friend, it didn't matter to her now. She knew she had her run as an idol, she clearly wasn't the best at it, and now it was over. Imagine her shock when she was approached by a Stardom Entertainment manager who said that he wanted to give her another chance. It was amazing to Jihae, who had honestly given up. Thus, she immediately bragged at the chance, trying her best to improve wherever she can. However, TWO YEARS PRIOR TO tRIGGER, something awful happened.
Jiyu fell sick- lEUKEMIA AT AGE FIFTEEN. tHANKS TO kIBUM'S JOB, THEY WERE ABLE TO PAY FOR GOOD TREATMENT, BUT IT SIMPLY WASN'T ENOUGH. fOUR MONTHS LATER, ON jUNE 16TH, 2014, kIM jIYU, ALSO KNOWN AS Everette Elizabeth Alexander, passed away surrounded by her family in her sleep. It was huge blow to Jihae- Sure, she and Jiyu were never the typical twins to always stuck together but did anything to be seen as different. No, they had totally seperate interests and lives and the only thing they ever really did together was sneak late-night snacks, talk about crushes, and share a room. Suddenly, that room was suffocating to Jihae, and she moved into Stardom's trainee dorms almost immediately. Only months later, on Kibum's birthday, their grandmother passed away, who Jihae had been extremely close with, though not to the same point Kibu had been. She feel into a year-long spell of depression but has broken out since, and just wants to be everything that she can be.
Idol background. Jihae debuted under the stage name Kiwi in a girl group called Pretty Girl as the rapper and main dancer. All nine members had stage names that were a fruit. Jihae was only thirteen, making her the maknae. The other members were Park Anna (Leader, main vocalist), Son Jiu (Lead vocalist, visual), Kim Chaewon (Main vocalist), Kang Eunseo (Main dancer, vocalist), Gu Seoyun (Lead vocalist), Byun Mihyun (Lead vocalist), Gi Jimin (Lead dancer, vocalist), and Gi Yujin (Lead dancer, vocalist, face). They all got along together well, and after just six months of actually working on their debut song, they debuted with Gee on March 30th, 2010. Thanks to Minho's feature in their MV, they got a bit of attention and were able to garner a fairly small but strong fanbase. Their few fans were very loyal and sent many gifts to them to show their support. However, it wasn't enough and the girls knew that they have to work even harder this time.
Jihae begged to help write the lyrics, and after a lot of aegyo and whines, finally they let her. Genie was the product and they had their very first comeback on November 18th, 2010. This got a positive response and the youngest four even got to go on one of the first episodes of Hello Counselor. They even got some money back for the company. However, Eunseo wasn't convinced, and after a minor leg injuy that she played up just after promotions were over, she left the band, leaving Pretty Lady with only eight members. It was hard to recover from for the young girls, especially when and because of this they didn't have a comeback until January 24th, 2012 with Ah-Choo. But their absence has been too long and they'd all but been forgotten. After this comeback, Pretty Lady disbanded with heavy hearts. It wasn't until her second scouting that Jihae got real attention thanks to Trigger.

When she first met SHINee, she was young. She had the biggest crush on Jonghyun. It really doesn't stand to this days.
Jiyu is still a source of pain in Jihae's life. They were identical twins, and so when they turned thirteen Jihae started to dye her hair blonde since it not only fit her more, but it showed off their perosnality differences. Jiyu was the younger twin by a grand total of eighteen seconds, and Jihae always about it. She was always more lowkey, quieter, the "better" one at aegyo. Jihae, really, terribly misses her. She wears a necklace made out of a portion of Jiyu's ashes no matter what.
She doesn't want her hair to go back to brown because she feels as though it's Jiyu's color, not her's.
WHen her hair is brown, though, she's known for looking like Apink's Eunji when she was younger.

people she knows

family. As Jihae does not interact with her mother or father, they will not be discussed as there is no relationship. However, Park Jina (42), Park Minsoo (43), Kim Kibum (24), and Kim Yewon (Deceased) will be. Park Jina is a world-class dermatologist and her husband, Minsoo, is a dentist, so the family never had a shortage of money. They were thrilled to take Jihae, promising to protect and care for her with their lives. Jina was worried for her best friend, though- She'd warned her against getting pregnant again, considering how badly the last time had gone, but she didn't listen and thus they were at the point they were. Jina is very  gentle, very maternal. She loves Jihae as her own, as does Minsoo. He's very friendly and social, so he has a lot of friends and often takes Jihae on "dates" when they have the time. She may not call them mom and dad, but they truly feel like her parents. Kim Kibum, however, is her blood relative- Her older brother, in fact. Despite the fact that they didn't get along at first, Jihae now would die without her older rbtoher. She completely relies on him and tells him everything. Jihae really has no idea how she made it without his hugs and his advice and the kisses goodnight that she (Rarely) gets. It's hard, since being idols always makes them busy, but luckily enough he's an MC so they can meet backstage. It's a well-known fact by now that she's "SHINee's Key's baby sister," and people often accuse him being the only reason that Jihae's even in Trigger, which is somewhat surprisingly untrue. Kim Yewon was Jihae's grandmother, the one that raised Kibum. Kibum was always a lot closer to her than Jihae was, especially since she raised him, but in the few years she was lucky enough to know her, she easily came to love her. Yewon passed away on Kibum's birthday in 2014, and Jihae was devastated, but she was even more so when she saw the state Kibum was in, and then seeing him perform right after. She will always miss Yewon for a loving, caring person that she was, and she thanks her every day for raising her brother as well as she did. She rarely visits home, and if she does, it's very cold and not like a home at all. Her mother tried to get close to her but really she just can't. Jihae isn't willing.

friends. Jihae's best friend is always going to be Park Yunseo (18). Yunseo is literally the best thing that happened to her, even though they did have those years of fighting. She's now a very successful soloist, even collabing with her people and she has an amazing, promising career. Jihae and Yunseo are one of those famous best friends in KPOP, just like Kibum and Woohyun, Taemin and Jongin, etc. You'll never find anyone closer. They know everything, and I mean everything. They go to each other for anything and everything, and nothing will ever really break their friendship. Another very close friend is her brother's bandmate, Minho. She and Minho are very athletic and into sports, so they totally ended up bonding through that despite their age difference. Minho often jokes about how she's his favorite dongsaeng, and then annoy her with the ouns that she really doesn't like: "I hate insect puns, they really bug me." "I would tell a chemistry joke, but I know I wouldn't get a reaction." "I'm not a photographer, but I can sure picture us together!" Yeah, he looks up all of that and more to annoy the hell outta her. They have a very playful relationship. Lee Ahreum (19) is a very normal, very lowkey person. She and Jihae go to college together, and they have the same major- Bio sciences. Ahreum is about two years older than her but she and Jihae are really close. They often eat meals together, and Jihae likes to spend her time at Ahreum's apartment in-between comebacks. Ahreum is often busy, however, so Jihae doesn't spend as much time with her as she'd really like to. Ahreum does make time to see some of her performances, though.

friends. Park Anna (26) was the leader of Pretty Lady. As the leader and main vocalist, she had important jobs and was really responsible. Back then, Jihae really respected Anna, and she still does, but they never were and still aren't that close. Anna was the first to congratulate her, though, upon her casting into Trigger. She was proud of their maknae for finding another opportunity at being an idol. Jiu (24) is really one-of-a-kind. She's pretty, cute, hot, tempermental, harsh, blunt, optimistic, happy-go-lucky, and strangely cautious when it comes to people she cares about. There's a line that Jiu doesn't cross when she becomes close to people, and Jihae was (un)fortunate enough to come face to face with that problem. They began to get really close after Eunseo left, but that is what stopped them from getting any closer. Jihae hates being close to people, she then feels responsible for their emotions andd actions, so she then distanced herself. They rarely speak, maybe see each other once every few years. Jina (24) was never close to Jihae- Never. She found her honest to a fault, her accent aggravating, and she hated her indecisiveness. She was all around a bother and stupidly young, and while they would likely get along nowadays, back then they didn't like each other at all and since disbandment, they haven't spoken. It'd be a miracle if they somehow met again. Eunseo (24) was the one that left, and Jihae feels no resentment. She made the choice that was best for her. Though many of the others didn't see it, Eunseo was treated horribly by the company, way worse than any of them and it was disgusting, the way they ualized her and tried to force her into things by threatening her job. They make sure to have lunch together near the winter holidays, but otherwise they don't interact. Seoyun (24) is the only one that Jihae is still close with. They shared a bed- Yes, a bed- When they were Pretty Lady members, and thus they naturally ecome close. Seoyun is now an up-and-coming actress and has gotten married to twenty-seven year old Ahn Taehwan (FC: Do Dang Hoo), and is currently pregnant with her first child. Because of this, she is playing a role as a pregnant woman. Seoyun is always able to pick up her phone (She'll literally stop filming too) and loves her former maknae with all her heart. They may have an age difference but they're totally comfortable with each other. Jimin texts Jihae when she's having a problem, but that's about it. They never talk otherwise and their relationship is very formal when they meet. It's really awkwad to watch them since they used to be close in Pretty Lady. Mihyun was always reserved in their group, and never put herself out there, so she was never close to Jihae or took care of her or anything, unlike Jimin who loved their baby maknae with all her heart. She would always treat her to meals and pick out her clothes and generally be a wonderful Unnie, but now Jimin is focusing on her modeling career in France. She does like to check in on Jihae, though. Jimin's younger sister, Yujin was the closest to Jihae in age, but they were never particlarly close in personality or relationship. They're polar opposites of each other and have never gotten along well.

her point of view

what is your dream? In a year I see myself studying furiously for my biology test while in a van on my way to filming my group's next variety show. *Smile* It's gonna be an interesting future, but it's the one I see and I'm happy with it.

who inspires you most in this world? My younger sister. her name was Jiyu, she, um, passed away in 2014, but she was my baby twin sister. She always blushed and told be to stop when I called her that, but I couldn't help it, you know? *Grin* She was just so cute. She got sick only a few months before she died, but she was so strong the whole time. Only crying when she was told it was okay to, taking care and worrying about us, never stopping talking about her dreams To be a painter, she really wanted to be a world-famous painter. I thought it was just so unique. *Wipes at tears with palms* She really really is my greatest inspiration, and I know she's always with me. *Plays idly with necklace* I don't think I'll ever meet someone as strong and beautiful as her.

many idols get asked this, so we'll ask you. who is an example of your ideal type? Bubble tea. *Cough* I mean, um, someone with a bubbly personality! *Bites Lip* Tht was a total lie, I'm sorry. *Bows* My ideal type is definitely someone with good hair. Otherwise, I'm not too picky! I mean, a great voice is good, but really if you have a genuine personality that's all I need. *Soft smile*

what is your biggest fear? Never seeing Jiyu or my grandmother again. What I want more than anything is for there to be some sort of happy afterlifeso I can meet them again someday far away. If I can never see them smile or hear them laugh again, I don't know how I'd madke it. The only things I can hold onto for now are pictures, videos, and memories. They'll have to do because that's the one thing I can't stand to think about, I have to see them again.

do you honestly believe you'll make it to the end of this competition? course I will. Why? Because I intend to finish what I started. What's the point in coming here at all if I only make it part-way? I'm going to show everyone that hard work, determination, and optimsm can really get you where you want to go. So that's why I'm going to be in the final lineup. *Nod*

the end game
good luck, ladies.
