Someone thought it'd be okay to plagiarise me... [Resolved?]
Okay, I don't even know where to start. I am literally speechless, not to mention shaking with fury. I don't need to rant and tell you why one ought not to plagiarise because we all know enough about this topic, don't we? It is wrong, it is upsetting and again, I must stress that it is WRONG.
@Plagiariser: I hope you know that plagiarism is illegal. That's all I have to say to you. I don't even know you but you should already know that I despise you and want to curse you out and share every swear word of every language I know with you. But I don't need to do lose my manners like you did when you plagiarised my story.
Fading Rays of Sunshine belongs to ME. It belongs to no one else but me, myself and I. CLICK ON THIS SENTENCE FOR THE ORIGINAL LINK. It was posted on August the 22nd, 2015 and the most recent update was April the 24th, 2016. It is a licensed work and a disclaimer is clearly written at the bottom of the foreword. Here it is in case anyone missed it:
"DISCLAIMER: Apart from the lovely Luhan and the oh-so-sweet Sehun whom I unfortunately do not own, everything that is involved in this story belongs to me. Any plot idea or dialogue that may resemble that of a fellow work is merely coincidental. Please respect the right of ownership and kindly refrain from plagiarism. Unless my permission has been given, please do NOT copy, print, repost, save, translate or redistribute this story in any way. Thank you very much! ♥"
And now take a look at this: LINK TO A PLAGIARISED WORK!
So, @Plagiariser, did it feel nice to take credit for someone else's work? Did you enjoy it when you got all that praise for a story you didn't even write? Did you ever to stop to consider my feelings and how you would feel if the same was done to you?
I mean, just look at it. Same title, same pairing and although the time has been taken to translate it into a different language, it is still very much MY story. Go to the link of the first chapter and press 'translate'; if you have read my story, you will know right away that this is clearly plagiarism because although the wording itself isn't so pretty, it is similar and the plot is exactly the same without a single hint of difference. As if that isn't enough proof, the date is noticeably different. This stolen work which is available in a foreign language on Wattpad was posted on January the 6th, 2016.
What am I supposed to do now? I am beyond angry at this point. I am upset and most of all, disappointed. It makes me sick to the stomach that the plagiariser even had the audacity to openly state that the story was written by them! This is injustice of the highest degree. Please help me, kind reader. Please help me... T^T Report them, block them, comment on the story - please do whatever can be done :c This is my first experience with plagiarism and honestly, right now, I'm pretty much the Doctor when he was trapped in the Medusa Cascade. Helpless.
Update #1: Thank you for all your helpful feedback! I have reported the story and am currently waiting to see what happens next.
Update #2: My report has been responded to by the Wattpad mods and I'll be solving the issue as soon as possible. I now know the identity of the plagiariser and I will call her out here if my demands are not met.
