I apologize for the title. But it's literally me right now.

Okay guys, I need you guys to help me understand what's going on.

I'm happily in a relationship of 1 year and 6 months. But just yesterday, my close friend, let's call him Waist (lol i'll explain later), talked for hours. 

But it was because three days ago, I gave him a talk because he's also in a relationship, not happy, but an awkward one with one of my best friends who I love dearly, because my best friend is very sad that they've been dating for 1 year and 2 months but they haven't hung out in like 6 months.

All of a sudden, he changed the topic of what happened between us. Us as in Waist and I.

Okay, let me explain. He did not cheat on my best friend. Waist and I had a thing before he got with my best friend and I got with my boyfriend. So we good lol

But we didn't really have any closure. I admitted that I parted away from him because his ex - who was 2 years older than Waist - started to hate my guts and I wasn't having any of it so I just drifted.

Then Waist starts talking about the time he and I were walking to a bus stop and he was contemplating whether he should confess to me or not. He didn't. But later over text he did. And after that I drifted from him..

Afterwards, he talks about how he feels bad that he wasn't a good "boyfriend" to me. He wasn't my boyfriend, we were just really really close.

One note: he and I are honestly closer to each other than Waist and my best friend are...

I told him that his ex hated my guts that's why I drifted. Apparently, he never knew. But he said, "If she wasn't a ing psycho, we would've been dating by now."

Then we continue to talk until midnight. Then he says, "It's very nice talking to you. I like talking to you."

I texted my other best friend, we're in a trio lol, what he just said and she said, "That's ed up how he'd say that to you and not his girlfriend." I couldn't agree more.

And before he sleeps, he said, "I'd like to settle things on what happened between us, tomorrow, in person. But can we continue texting each other?"

I say sure and he goes to sleep. I am confused because he sounds like he'd rather talk to me more than his girlfriend whom is confused af because of him. And I get that maybe he looks at me like a girl best friend, but it kind of sounds different... 

Oh, before I end. He's called Waist because we went to camp for JROTC, and his girlfriend and I look very similar front the side and back. He was dating my best friend and I was dating mah boi lol and I was standing up and I feel someone caressing my waist... I turn around and found that it was Waist himself! He was embarrassed af! I was super funny!
