Story Reviews

Im curious as to how story reviews work.

What are the pros and cons?

How will it affect one's story?

Is it better to get one's story reviewed or not?

Who's gonna be the one who will review the story?

I am so new to this site that I have no idea at all. Would never have blogged about this if I only found the answers on the FAQ's. So yeah, there's that. Someone help? Comments are greatly and utterly highly appreciated.😊👯

Pros - You learn how to improve your story and be a better writer.
Cons - Many people go into review shops hoping for positive feedback on their story, but they get negative feedback which disappoints them.
How will it affect a story? - It will definitely help you improve if it is a great review and not one that puts down your story.
Is it better to get a review? - If you can handle criticism, yes.
Who will review? - anyone in the shop.

well, they work just like how normal reviews work but each review shops will have their rules so u need to follow them and that's pretty much it.
Some reviews ask you to pay karma points and usually will ask u to submit a form.

It might take some time, since it's a review and about pros and cons-i don't think there'll be any cons, if you request from a good shop, you can read some of their previews reviews and stuff so that's how u find out if a shop is good or not, you won't be at any disadvantage. Pros are you'll get to improve your story and get better in general, reviews help pinpoint flaws authors can't see!

P.S most review shops use a grading system, some don't , so if you're uncomfortable with graded reviews search for the non graded~ Some reviewers are brutally honest, some aren't and some reviewers sugar cote and aren't really helpful (<--which u can avoid by requesting from good shops who have many subs and previos requests to be safe).
