Word of encouragement for 1st time authors.
I've been seeing a lot of people commenting that they want to start a story for the first time but are too scared; that theyre afraid their stories will and not get any views or comments.
Here are some words of encouragement for you:
Honestly, just go for it. You have nothing to lose. Start off by writing everything down in a book and transfer it onto the computer after you made some edits, find a good graphic artist to make your photo and background, and start publishing your stories.
When I first started, I . I barely got any views and comments. My first and second story isn't even on my account anymore because it so bad that I didn't like it even though I completed it. I started wondering "why am I only getting 5 upvotes and 35 subs compared to that artist who have 160 upvotes and 2k subbies?" then I realized that my material was and then I started to read a lot of stories: how the plot flowed, the character detail, the detail in general. It showed me what I lacked.
So if you are scared that your story will , don't be. First time's always , honestly. You will learn from your first story and start making better corrections.
That is how you grow as an author.
If you don't know what to write about, think of your favorite genre to read and then go from there. Pick your character and then what type of plot your want it to have.
I honestly think of moments in the stories and write from there. If I want someone to get hurt a certain way, I will write my story around that so I make sure that I keep that in the story and have something to follow along with.
A good way to think of your plot is to listen to music and day dream to the beat of that song, thats what I do. If I have an intense song playing, I think of the fight scenes. If its a slow song, I think of the romantic scenes.
Overall, give it a shot. You'll gain experience. If English isn't your first language and you're scared then write in your native tongue. So sit down at your computer and start typing away.
Think of how many times your idols failed their audition before they got accepted and look where they are now. You can do the same (:
