me, me, and me.

style — Despite being an idol, which means having every single outfit planned for you, from the jacket to the socks, Eun Sung likes to keep her outfits on the simple side, and lives by the statement that says 'maximal effect, minimum effort'. This basically means that she sticks to skinny jeans or skirts, and plain shirts or tops with a feminine look. She likes to dress up, and shopping for clothes boosts her mood no matter the occasion she's shopping for, but if she has no prior engagements, she'll stay in her sweatpants and her long sleeved t-shirts for as long as humanly possible

personality — At first glance at Eun Sung, one can easily tell that here goes a very calm and collected young woman. Carrying herself with some sort of sophisticated grace, she could easily pass as the daughter of someone high and mighty, while the opposite is in fact the case. She doesn't mind this comparison, because every girl dreams of becoming a princess someday, but the reality is that she's neither very sophisticated nor very princess-y: Instead, she's gentle and caring, always ready to lend a hand or shoulder to those who need it from her (and the ones who don't she'll seek out herself).

Being the older sister out of a family consisting of parents and two brothers, Eun Sung has matured well beyond her age ever since she was old enough to look after her younger brothers, and continues to take on the part as the older sibling or the mother, both in front of her friends, but probably especially in front of her group mates. It's not always something she's doing on purpose; it's as if a switch goes off in her mind and she acts solely on her instinct, and she doesn't stop unless someone calls her out on it. Her friends are better at this than her groupmates, and she seriously suspects it's because they secretly like all of the attention she gives them.

But being a mother, whatever qualities that title may bring, doesn't exclusively mean she acts like a mother all the time. She has a great sense of humor and likes to crack jokes and let loose, although she's not the biggest party animal on the idol scene. She doesn't mind the occasional cocktail party - any party is an excuse for dressing up! -, but she's terrible at handling her alcohol, and so most of the time she prefers staying in with her feet up and a good show running on low volume. And don't tell her groupmates she said this, but she's hooked on You Who Came From The Stars, even though she claims the opposite (Kim Soohyun is only four years older than her; she's allowed to dream!)

As calm and loving she is off stage, as fierce and dedicated is she on stage. Her idol life means practically everything to her, and she isn't afraid of working herself to the brink of exhaustion to perfect a performance. Some might call her two-dimensional, and maybe she is: Her mother-like nature clashes in so many ways with her fierce and powerful vocals that shines alongside the bright lights of the stage. It's amazing to see this transition, bcause it happens in approximately two seconds, from when her foot is on the last step before the stage and until she presses her toes down on the stage itself.

It's easy to like people like Eun Sung, and that is one of her big goals in life: To be liked. She wants to be a good role model, borh in and outside of her group, and her need of gaining accept and respect is probably what's going to be her downfall. She cares what other people think and say about her - a great deal, actually, and she's still learning to let the negative comments slide out of her mind. She appreciates honesty, integrity and being selfless as far as personal health will allow it, and despite her flaws and insecurities, she's perfectly happy being who she is.

likes
— Hot baths, makeup, the typical girls' night out, ballads, soap operas, 32% chocolate, reading with music in her ears, watching the news, running, decorating, pandas

dislikes
— Tomato soup, lightning, snakes and reptiles, when it rains first thing in the morning, pulling all-nighters for the sake of education, accidentally cutting herself when she's shaving her legs, nail polish on her toes, scented candles

funfacts

- Eun Sung picked her stage-name herself. Her company suggested 'Moon', 'Lune' and 'Jay', but she didn't feel like any of them fit her, and so she went with her birth name
- She loves to watch comedy
- Her favorite animals are otters and dogs
- Her favorite color is light blue or lilac. On the contrary she can't stand dark green/brown
- Her personal fans are called 'Ducklings' because Eun Sung sees herself as the mother of everything. Even her fans (now, she knows she describes herself as a mother-hen, but calling her fans 'chicken's wouldn't be the same...)
- She's wearing nail polish more often than not
- Her life motto is "There's nothing cupcakes can't fix!"
- She lowkey wishes she could rap, but every time she tries she fails
- She's very happy with her 'mother'-role in the group
- Nothing, nothing can make her go near spiders. Getting rid of those things is the leader's job (and she sees no shame in using aegyo or begging to get him to do it)
- She likes to cook. Whether she's any good at it or not is a whole other question
- She enters a whole other world when she's singing or recording. It takes a lot to get her into the real world again

- All of her social media names are variations of 'Daedung' (ie. 'Daedungie', 'Ddaeddung_nmls' and 'baedung')
- Her ringtone is Rainbow's 'A'. Her alarm tone in the morning is the song 'Period' from Fullmetal Alchemist
- Is secretly Zion.T's biggest fangirl
- Talent twins:

Ailee (solo artist) (singing, talking)
Kang Seulgi (Red Velvet) (dancing)

home is where the heart is. I STILL NEED TO WORK ON DIS AYYYY

background — Born on a cold december morning a few weeks before christmas, in a time where global warming hadn't ultimately ended the snow season before it even began, Eun Sung grew up in a medium sized house in Ulsan, South Korea. Her father was a software technician with his own company, and it was this company that primarily provided Eun Sung and her mother with the necessities they needed. Until Eun Sung was 4, her mother took care of her all the while being a housewife, but Eun Sung was put in daycare when her mother got a job as a substitute professor at University of Ulsan's Museum and Arts Education. This sudden rise in income meant that the family of three moved from their home to the Mugeo-dong district, because it was closer to her mother's work place.

Two months before Eun Sung started school, she became an older sister. On june 2nd, Dae Hyun gave birth to the twin boys Jae Sung and Woo Sung. Although their family was placed in the upper part of the middle class, this increase in family members meant that things were tight for the first couple of years after the twins' birth, where Eun Sung's father's company nearly faced bankruptcy. The tides turned, luckily, and the family managed to make do with whatever means they had.

When Eun Sung started in 3rd grade, her class got a music teacher from America, whose name was Mrs. Im. She showed Eun Sung and her classmates how to play various instruments and taught them how to sing high and low notes, and the young girl instantly liked her music teacher. Throughout her elementary and middle school years, Eun Sung grew sufficiently closer to Mrs. I'm, and when she moved on to high school it was with a letter of recommendation for any musical acts she wanted to pursue.

In high school she mainly focused on developing her musical abilities, much to the disdain of her parents. They wanted her to secure her future with good grades and admittance to a good college, so eventually they struck a deal: If Eun Sung could maintain an A-average, she could sing and play all the instruments she wanted to. And so she did. Countless nights with little sleep because of study sessions and practices in the music room eventually payed off, as she gathered the courage to go to an audition for N&D Entertainment in spring 2010, when she was 17 years old.

She attended school for the last couple of months of high school while simultaneously training at the company's facilities, which ultimately led to her putting all thought of education on hold for the sake of her potential career after she received her high school diploma. She's been with N&D ever since, and hasn't regretted a single moment (although her father still hasn't quite come around about the whole idol-thing, but he will! .... Eventually)

family —

▪ Moon Sae Won | Father | Ever the stoic, serious kind of guy, Eun Sung's father believes that with hard work comes success, and although he's not always good at showing it, it's evident that he's proud of his daughter for following her dreams
▪ Moon Dae Hyun | Mother | It's no secret that Eun Sung is a huge momma's girl. She's always been closer to her mother than to her father, and whenever Eun Sung's having a hard time, the older woman is always the first one on her list of people to call
▪ Moon Jae Sung and Moon Woo Sung | Brother | Jae Sung is the middle child, although he's only about 10 minutes older than Woo Sung. And forgetting the fact that both he and his brother are terrible little monkeys physically unable to stay still (and stay out of her business), she loves them both dearly, although she's closer to Woo Sung than Jae. Eun Sung is 6 years older than her brothers

friends —

▪ Go Woori | More like Go Bae-ri | Meeting almost by coincidence after Eun Sung started her trainee period, the two women fit together like two pieces of a puzzle. When they met, Rainbow had just started to make a name for themselves, and despite her busy schedule, the older always seemed to make time for Eun Sung, something she greatly appreciated. She is Eun Sun's closest friend, almost like her sister from another mister, and they always have each other's backs, no exceptions, and while Eun Sung is the mother of her group, there's absolutely no doubt that Woori is the mother of their little duo.

go bae-ri: my sun
go bae-ri: my moon
go bae-ri: all of my stars!!!!!
daedungie: you're so embarassing
daedungie: i love you
go bae-ri: <3

Han Subin | Favoritism is still a thing! Despite their , upon meeting her, Eun Sung instantly took a liking to Subin. Her childish and bright - sometimes too bright - attitude and constant smiles pretty much made it impossible for her not to like the maknae, and she makes sure to go full mother-hen whenever they're doing something together. She tries to use her age as a weapon when Subin wants something from her, be it affection, food or attention, but 9/10 times she fails to do so because basically, Subin is the real life embodiment of a litter full of kittens in sunshine, and Eun Sung is a weak, weak person.

subin: unnie
subin: can we go for snacks?
eun sung: didn't you have, like, a million bags of skittles yesterday?
subin: skittles are not snacks, skittles are energy boosts
eun sung: you ate them all didn't you
subin: .... no
eun sung: this girl, really...
eun sung: fine, i'll get you something
subin: ^^v

the one and only.

love interest — The Sun

backup(s)  — Eric Nam/ Nam Yoon Do

personality — Where Eun Sung is calm and gentle, Eric is a whirlwind of sudden movements, impromptu dates out and cute texts, and his bright mood is just as contagious as his laughter is.

Eric has his heart with him in everything he does, and his high spirits and morality is something that Eun Sung really admires in him.

relationship  — Following their first meeting in late 2013, the two have been growing closer and closer each day, and what initially started out as fake dates for the sake of making fun of perfect and ideal couples, neither of them were able to deny the sparks that seemed to fly up into the sky whenever they did something together. They only started on going on 'real' dates in mid-2015, and while both friends and labelmates are starting to suspect that something fishy's going on between the two singers, nobody has been able to get any sufficient proof. The real situation is that they've been kind of dating since november 22nd 2015.
