Help needed for a survey

Hey guys :3

So to make it short, I am part of a sociology club and we are doing researches about grade schools (also called elementary school) and how kids behave during break time. My part is to compare between different countries.

Thus, I need your help to tell how it is in the country you live in.

Below, I'm going to ask a few questions, if you could please reply to them, it would be really kind from you ^-^

Please remember that this is about your experience during grade school (/elementary school)

×××××

1. Which country are you from? (The one where you went during grade school)

2. What is your age ? (I'm asking because if you are like 40 or something then there's a generation gap that needs to be taken into consideration.)

3. Are you a male or a female? (Boys and girls usually act differently during break time.)

4. Were you more a quite child or an active one at school? (To know if you prefered relaxing during breaks or exercising)

5. What were the games you would play during break time? (You can name them in your own language, translation isn't needed.)

6. What were the other games that you could see during breaks?

7. Did your school had a playground or nothing?

8. Could you go to the library too during your break or did you have to go out and play?

9. Anything else you want to point out?

×××××

Thank you so much for your help ^-^

4. I was so hype during recess in elementary school, I loved running around and playing.
5. Tag, hide and seek, hopscotch, jump rope, sometimes we would make up kind of role playing situations and just mess around.
6. We often would either be let loose on the playground so we would play on the monkey bars or go on the slides and stuff. Other times we would be let out into a small field right next to the classrooms and their were these random pole time things that you could climb on and spin around.
7. We had a playground. Two years after I left elementary they built a new one on the other side of campus with a lot more play things and even a swing set (which the first one didn't have.)
8. We had to stay with our class at all times. The teachers would take us all to one area and we would all do that activity together. So if that area was the playground then we had to stay on the playground. If we had to run track for p.e. (physical education) then everyone had to stay on the track and at least walk. If it was to go to the library and check out books (which everyone had to do like every other week I think) then we had to stay in the library and could either look at books or sit at a table and read.
9. When I was in elementary, we didn't really have "free time". The day consisted of lessons with a lunch time in the middle, then on certain days of the week at certain times (it depended on what class you were in) we had times called "special area" where our entire class would either go to p.e. and have a class with the p.e. teacher in the gym/outside, or to the library and have a lesson with the librarian/check out books, or we had arts and humanities were we would go to the arts and humanities room and do art related lessons about art or music, dance and other kinds of humanities. If our teachers were nice then they would give us a recess and let us play outside, but they didn't have to if they didn't want to.

1.) U.S.A
2.) I'm 17
3.) Female
4.) I was definitely a quiet child. I didn't have any friends so I was always alone and read books during breaks.
5.) Some games I would play (if someone was nice enough to hang out with me) here tether ball and four square. Other times i would read or stay on the swings.
5.) A lot of kids played tag or soccer or football. Some girls played 'house' on the play structure. A lot of kids thought they were too old or cool to play on the playground.
6.) My school had a field, concrete with drawn lines for games, and a playground.
7.) During break I think the library was open if you wanted to check a book out, but no one really ever stayed there. WE had to be outside mostly.
8.) Bullying. I was teased a lot because i was taller than almost everyone. Second tallest kid in the school. A lot of kids would date and the girls would even fight and cry over boys. And they were ALL 12 YEARS OF AGE OR YOUNGER.

1. Which country are you from? (The one where you went during grade school)
- Brazil.

2. What is your age ? (I'm asking because if you are like 40 or something then there's a generation gap that needs to be taken into consideration.)
- 18 years old.

3. Are you a male or a female? (Boys and girls usually act differently during break time.)
- Female.

4. Were you more a quite child or an active one at school? (To know if you prefered relaxing during breaks or exercising)
- More to quiet. But I used to play around too, sometimes. Even though the schools here offer the sports court for the students, my friends and I preferred to stay in a circle, eating, talking and playing.

5. What were the games you would play during break time? (You can name them in your own language, translation isn't needed.)
- We actually used to talk more, but we also played games like Stop and others I can't quite remember, sorry. -.-''

6. What were the other games that you could see during breaks?
- Hide and seek; Tag; Jungle Gym; (Gossiping xD).

7. Did your school had a playground or nothing?
- Yes. Only on the smaller children's side. In our side had a great sports court and they would offer all kind of balls: volei's, soccer's, basketball's. Hula hoops. *-*

8. Could you go to the library too during your break or did you have to go out and play?
- Yeah, actually, sometimes we liked to spend our time there, since the school were all too noisy. xD

9. Anything else you want to point out?
- There were times the school would put music on the speakers and would let students pick the songs. Some would dance.

Glad to help. :3

1. Which country are you from? Germany
2. What is your age? 17
3. Are you a male or a female? female
4. Were you more a quite child or an active one at school? rather quiet in the lessons, but there was some kind of after school thing where quite a few children went to, we could do homework there or just play with friends (surprise, nobody really did his homework) and I was rather a trouble maker there who loved to break rules – but in general rather a trouble maker
5. What were the games you would play during break time? rope skipping, hide and seek, a game called "robbers and policemen" [basically catching the robbers and putting them in "jail"], catching others in general, a special kind of rope [a circle kind of rope, no ends] skipping where two people face each other with a few meters distance, an elastic kind of rope around their ankles and others have to try and jump some kind of a choreography. depending on difficulty, this rope was put higher (knees, waist). some children also liked to build hide-outs, but that was more common in the after school thing - there was an even bigger playground there, more time, and more places for things like this.
6. What were the other games that you could see during breaks? pretty much also these games, plus soccer. the boys usually played soccer or sometimes the robbers and policemen game. (though sometimes they also participated in games like rope skipping xD)

7. Did your school had a playground or nothing? there was a big schoolyard and a playground, and actually even some more space with grass and a few trees

8. Could you go to the library too during your break or did you have to go out and play? We didn’t really have something like a library… but we had to go out, unless it rained.

9. Anything else you want to point out?
If you have any more questions, just ask me^^
