Behind the wall (where the daisies grow)

Wherein when the paths of two broken souls unexpectedly cross, Chanyeol and Baekhyun find themselves drawn together like magnets, frightened but unable to deny the connection between them growing stronger every day.
It's then that they discover that love can grow in even the most barren of places, like a trampled daisy reaching for the sun, if only they can find the light, hold on- and just keep breathing.

There was red mixed to the white -blood dried on the white locks of hair. Falling to his knees, he grabbed the boy by the shoulders. Baekhyun's gaze fell on him, eyes empty, red from crying. His cheeks were smeared with tears, and some scratches here and there. Then he averted his eyes, looking at the clenched fists on his lap. There were some locks of hair.

"I-" His voice was so hoarse, it almost couldn’t come out of his throat. "I called for you."

Chanyeol's hand traveled up the boy's spine. He was so frail, he could feel the bone under his palm. It was trembling, too.

He noticed the pieces of clothes, bloodied, near Baekhyun. And then the dried blood on his wrists -remnants of his struggle to free himself from his makeshift ropes.

"They locked me there. I couldn't come out. I was angry. So, so angry."

Then, Chanyeol's arms came to rest around his shoulder, and it was like gravity. He didn't even have to pull, Baekhyun just collapsed against him.

The scent of blood was mixed to the one of daisies, corrupted pureness.

Chanyeol wanted to scream.

I would just like to say this - although i'll leave a note at the end of the story to explain myself a bit more - this story has some heavy themes indeed (be carefull with the warnings), which might have thrown off many readers during the fest, and which might still scare you. It is your choice to read this or not. However, I wrote this with the intention of giving a message of hope, and making you ponder about some things. There are many little messages scattered here and there along the stories, and I hope they will touch you, make you think. It is the story of two broken people healing each other. There is a happy ending, although the healing is a hard process.
