Hello, I am BookWorm61.

1. Why was Asianfanfics created?

For fans of all things Asians - That's what has been ingrained in my head.


2. What is the exact date of AFF's anniversary?

..... I'm not too sure? Sorry, sorta still new to the community.


3. Our admin, Jason, wrote a fanfic: Zero Day Diaries. Which kpop artists are featured in this fic?

.... I'm sorry, Jason, I failed you. *proceed to curl into a ball in the corner*





4. How long have you been on AFF for?

Almost a year! But if you want to be specific, *doing the calculation on the spot* Wow, exactly one more month to go.... *sniffs* My account's growing up!


5. What color was AFF's layout when you joined?

Blue but I remembered being thoroughly entertained by the other options. I kept changing it around before settling back to blue. ^^

6. How did you find AFF?

It was actually through a friend of mine, taemeilin_. I was just getting into kpop around 2/3 years ago and I had just gotten into exo. As my username suggested, I was trying to find some exo mama au's and she introduced me to asianfanfics! *jazz hands* The rest was history.


7. How did you end up becoming a member? What made you want to become a member?

I think it's because I like writing. It's a way for me to express myself, let my imagination run wild. Being new to something like kpop, asianfanfic became my own little platform to express my inner fangirl and sharing it with the people who share the same passion. I think it's also a place for me to have a little confidence in meeting new people and having a little more faith in what I write.

9. What was your first username?

BookWorm61 and I'll probably gonna stick with it for another 10 years probably. I'm a little broke to change my username, not that I'm planning to anytime soon.


10. What was the first story you read on here?

Not sure if it counts but taemeilin_ recommended reading revolution (I was so into exo mama au back then, it was ridiculous) but the ones on asianfanfics only had links to the LiveJournal's one. I remember clicking through the chapters and thinking "Why do these only have the chapter's numbers" until I finally realized it was actually links. So, I'm not sure if this counts as my first story read here but it was this story that brought me to asianfanfics.


11. Who is the first AFFer you talked to?

I'm not too sure because I'm not really one to socialize as much (I’m not really a social butterfly) but I think it would probably be ChiaToma. We didn't necessarily talk talk, but I had been a loyal commentor on her death arc series that I think more or less pass as talking. I hope. I'm hopeless at this...


12. Who was your first friend? Do you still keep in contact?

Taemeilin_, the angel who had graced me with this wonderful website. I'd say we're still in contact even if we don't talk much.


13. How many fanfiction/thread(s) do you currently have? How many of them are complete?

I have a grand total of two fanfics and all complete. I have a habit of finishing my story first before posting because I tend to procrastinate and ending up not finishing it at all because I lost my muse. Allow Me To Show You was a special case considering it was for a writing contest but even then I've already had a rough draft of it. But if we're talking about stories in progress, all I can say is it's a LOT.


14. How many unique subscribers do you have?

22 which I'm grateful for. I still have a lot to learn but it's nice to know my story is good enough for them to hit the subscribe button. It makes me feel accomplished.


15. What badges do you have?

Only verified email but if you ask me again in exactly one month, than there will probably be a one year anniversary badge lurking around somewhere.


16. Have you been an AFF Gold Member?

Nope, I don't have money ;A;


17. Out of a scale of 10, how much do you frequent the site?

8. Usually it's to check if there's a new story update or any notifications.


18. What is the main activity that you do on AFF?

Reading but recently I've been having an obsession with click and drag games that I play with my sister. We always have a good laugh every time we play it.


19. How do you spend most of your karma points?

I don't? Right now I'm just collecting karma points, just in case, but if I was to spend my karma points, it'll probably for posters for my stories.


20. How would you like to spend you karma points? (E.g. Kpop merchandise.)

Honestly, I have no idea. I'm not good with online purchasing so it'll probably end badly if you give full reign on online shopping. -.-'

21. Have you ever uploaded a video in the video gallery?

No.


22. Have you entered the chatroom? How was it like for you?

No and this is probably due to the fact that I still haven't fully explored asianfanfics and my shy demeanor. I'll probably try it one day.


23. What is your favourite feature of AFF?

I don't know. There's a lot of features here on AFF that has its advantages and disadvantages but if I had to choose one, I'd probably go with the bookmarks feature. I tend to read lots of books at one time that I tend to forget where I stopped. So, this feature is really useful for me.


24. What is your least favourite feature of AFF? How can it be improved to make it better?

I'm not sure if this is a feature but wouldn't it be easier if the tag search had numbers (to represent the pages) instead of having to press the arrow and go through them one by one. I like to explore new stories but it's a pain in the neck when I have to start again at the beginning of the search and make my way back again, not knowing when I'll reach the end, especially when I'm searching it on my phone.  I'm not sure if you guys understand what I'm trying to say but yeah. (I'm sorry if I sound whiny...)


25. If you could introduce just one feature on AFF, what would it be and why?

None that I could think of at the top of my head.


26. If you could customize the way AFF appears to you, what color would it be? You could just pick one color or a palette.

Not exactly a colour but I was thinking something like a glow-in-the-dark sort of theme. Not sure if that exist but yeah. Maybe have small cluster of stars dancing across the screen at random intervals.

27. Who is/are your best friend(s) on AFF?

28. Who are the users you want to get to know better?

ChiaToma because her death arc series is my guilty pleasure and she seems like a nice person. Also fliuor so that I can ask if I could marry his/her Kingsman!au fics.


29. Are you grateful/owe something to someone on AFF? Who and why?

taemeilin_, thank you for showing me the light and sorry if I mention you a lot. I'm deprieved of friends.


30. Who are your AFF inspirations?

I'd say all the writer that I had subscribed to or seen their works had inspired me at some point in time.


31. If you could put a star on any of your fics/threads, which one would you pick?

I'd probably put it on my first story on AFF, Home..., because it's sort of a breaktrough moment for me when people started subscribing and anticipating. It might have the least amount of views and comments but I enjoyed writing it so, who cares.


32. What is/are your all time favourite storie(s)/thread(s)?

Exposing myself to kpop meaning exposing myself to many different kinds of groups. That also meant exposing myself to more choices of stories. If I had to choose, it'll probably be the kingsman!au by fliour, the death arc series by ChiaToma, On Ebb by Korekrypta, CODE:BREAKER series by B2UTYSONELOVER and The Archer by parkanjae. There are a few others but these are some of what I enjoy reading.


33. Who is/are your all time favourite author/s?

For now, it's probably fliour (because she writes amazing stories and in different genres and her grammar is beautiful) and elly_gomez (because she makes great click and drag games for a bunch of kpop groups and a general kpop one).


34. If you could put a star on another user's fics/threads, which one would you pick?

CODE:BREAKER byB2UTYSONELOVER because instead of it just being a story, it's also very interactive. You're as much involved in the plot as the characters are and I think that's what I like about this particular story and why  I think they should have a star on it.


35. If you could have any username you want, what would that be? (Did someone already take the username you wanted?)

Probably something more cooler than BookWorm61 but I'm lame at picking out names for this type of stuff so I'll just keep my current username. I kinda like it actually.


36. If you would write a fanfic about your life in AFF, what would the title be?

Trial and Error. I'm always trying new things, dabble into something and see how it goes. If all goes well, I'll probably be doing it again. If all goes downhill, then bye bye.


37. What was the weirdest thing you encountered on the site?

There were some crack fics that were so weird that I remember reading when I first got into asianfanfics and I was like...... okay.


38. What was the best thing that has happened to you on the site?

When I got my first subscriber. ^^


39. Have your interests changed on AFF? If yes, in what way? (Eg. Change of OTP, bias group, AFF activity.)

I wouldn't say changed but expanding. I'm getting to know more kpop groups and learning new genres.


40. There are many communities now on AFF (such as the writing, designing, coding, applyfic, roleplay, reader communities). Is there a community that you aren't part of but want to try one time?

Roleplay because I'm curious and it seems like a lot of fun.


41. What is the best thing AFF or being a member of AFF taught you?

It doesn't matter where you're from or what language you speak because in the end, we're just one big group of friends having fun together and sharing the same passion.


42. What is your greatest contribution to the site so far?

Probably being a member.


43. What are your current AFF goals?

To have at least ten stories posted here.


44. If the AFF community decides to do a get-together, how should we spend it and where?

I'll probably won't be able to attend but it'll be cool to just go somewhere open and have a little feast. People can interact peacefully and enjoy the sun. Maybe have a playground nearby for those who's feeling youthful.


45. AFF is celebrating it's 7th year and is continuing to grow thanks to our admin, Jason. Do you have a message for him?

Jason,thanks for building this place up and congrats for the seventh anniversary. Hopefully asianfanfics will keep on growing and keep on getting better. Thank you~ <3
