What is this? Did you know that AFF is celebrating its 7th year of being up and running? Every year we have thought of ways to commemorate this special date by doing various activities.
With that being said, this year we have decided to make it all about you with these 45 questions, interview with yourself, survey, quiz—whichever you wanted to call it haha.
Why are we doing 45 Questions? Because... it's fun. Don't question.
Our theme for this year is the freesia, when given on the 7th Anniversary it upholds trust and faithfulness within a bond. The freesia is also a symbol of friendship. It was named freesia after Friedrich H. T. Freese by fellow botanist Christian P. Ecklon, as a tribute to their friendship.
This day marks seven years of trust, faithfulness and friendship with the site, it's creator and the community. As a thank you to all participants, we leave you with a thank you message from the creator of AFF himself.

Hello, I am MaivxiaKhaab.
I wanted to do these questions since I was a bit bored for today. Plus, this is going to my first blog entry of the year!

1. Why was Asianfanfics created?
I think the reason why this site was created because the creator wanted to make a site dedicated to Kpop fanfiction stories. Winglin wasn’t doing such a good job back then, and I think the creator wanted to make a site strong enough and likeable for users to make a story with basic features that Winglin doesn’t.

2. What is the exact date of AFF's anniversary?
Hmm…I think it was somewhere in April 15, 2009.

3. Our admin, Jason, wrote a fanfic: Zero Day Diaries. Which kpop artists are featured in this fic?
LOL. I don’t know. But then if I have to guess…I’d saaaaay…I still don’t know.

4. How long have you been on AFF for?
Ever since December of 2010!

5. What color was AFF's layout when you joined?
Uh…I think it was black and white. It was kind of plain when I first came here. I think before, there was a large banner with various Kpop idols.

6. How did you find AFF?
An author from Winglin wanted to put her story on AFF because I think a commenter recommended putting her story there. At the time, the traffic in Winglin was SOOOO bad. I will occasionally get the sever not working page from Winglin. It was frustrating! I couldn’t help joining in the AFF community after that, because I wanted to know how the story ended.

7. How did you end up becoming a member? What made you want to become a member?
Like I said in the previous one, I wanted to find out the story I’ve been liking to read on how it ended. I wanted to give comments to the author and praise her for the hard work.

I am user number 14,612

9. What was your first username?
Umm…it was xXkhang91Xx. I’ve been having that too much in all the other sites I joined in -.-;;

10. What was the first story you read on here?
Everything Happens for a Reason by w_double

11. Who is the first AFFer you talked to?
I think it was Leggo.

12. Who was your first friend? Do you still keep in contact?
I forgot who was the first one who friended me, LOL. I think it was nickerz. She was a graphic designer. She’s not active anymore. We’re only acquaintances.

13. How many fanfiction/thread(s) do you currently have? How many of them are complete?
How many favorites I have in my story page? I have two completed stories.

14. How many unique subscribers do you have?
Over 20. Not telling the exact number, hehe.

15. What badges do you have?
I have the pioneer, 5^th AFF birthday, and the E-mail verification badge. I’ve got to say, they’re pretty damn cute.

16. Have you been an AFF Gold Member?
Nope. I’m not planning to be one either.

17. Out of a scale of 10, how much do you frequent the site?
I pretty much go here daily, but I do not read any of the fanfiction here too often. Most of them are EXO and stuff. I just stay online for the whole day and occasionally look around with what my friends are doing on their blog pages. Sooo on the scale…I’d say 5.

18. What is the main activity that you do on AFF?
Nowadays, personal blog pages.

19. How do you spend most of your karma points?
I mostly spend it on a few layout page changes.

20. How would you like to spend you karma points? (E.g. Kpop merchandise.)
LOL. I wouldn’t mind spending it on Kpop merchandise.

21. Have you ever uploaded a video in the video gallery?
Nope. I share videos on my blog posts.

22. Have you entered the chatroom? How was it like for you?
I never went inside a chatroom.

23. What is your favourite feature of AFF?
The fact that you can change your plain old boring layout to something fancy is pretty cool.

24. What is your least favourite feature of AFF? How can it be improved to make it better?
I wish there is an indent button to make paragraphing a bit easier. Plus, I don’t like pressing shift and enter buttons at the same time to make spacing a bit smaller.

25. If you could introduce just one feature on AFF, what would it be and why?
Badges. They are kind of like your own personal badges you want to get. If you want to show off, you’d better accomplish it!

26. If you could customize the way AFF appears to you, what color would it be? You could just pick one color or a palette.
I like AFF just the way it is.

27. Who is/are your best friend(s) on AFF?
Well…I don’t consider them best friends yet because I rarely talk here. But for now, I will say Taemins_LittleNoona, KibummieWaifu, and krisology.

28. Who are the users you want to get to know better?
Hmm…not sure yet. I’m not very social here on AFF.

29. Are you grateful/owe something to someone on AFF? Who and why?
As of now…none yet. I don’t know a lot of people on AFF yet to be very grateful to.

30. Who are your AFF inspirations?
Like I said, I don’t have many friends here. I barely read anything new on AFF.

31. If you could put a star on any of your fics/threads, which one would you pick?
What? No way, man! I’d like my life to be quiet as possible! And besides, my stories are pretty ty.

32. What is/are your all time favourite storie(s)/thread(s)?
Hmm…I think I’ll say Beyond Her Smile by Leggo.

33. Who is/are your all time favourite author/s?
I don’t know any authors that I will consider my favorite.

34. If you could put a star on another user's fics/threads, which one would you pick?
Obviously When the Playboy Married the Nerd by Meili5 (PSST! It was already starred before)

35. If you could have any username you want, what would that be? (Did someone already take the username you wanted?)
LOL. I’ve been thinking about changing it. I don’t have a lot of karma points to spend on it though. I can’t think of a username at the moment.

36. If you would write a fanfic about your life in AFF, what would the title be?
My life in AFF…hmm. A Fangirl’s Dream of Creative Writing: A Life Story from the Beginning to End

37. What was the weirdest thing you encountered on the site?
None.

38. What was the best thing that has happened to you on the site?
Mambokinoki create a Jaejoong blog layout for me when I randomly suggest for her to create one. I honestly didn’t think she will. But it happened anyway, and I was surprised.

39. Have your interests changed on AFF? If yes, in what way? (Eg. Change of OTP, bias group, AFF activity.)
LOL. Nope.

40. There are many communities now on AFF (such as the writing, designing, coding, applyfic, roleplay, reader communities). Is there a community that you aren't part of but want to try one time?
I’m fine just the way I am.

41. What is the best thing AFF or being a member of AFF taught you?
You get to connect with other people who are into Kpop like you do. It is hard finding people outside of the Internet who like Kpop.

42. What is your greatest contribution to the site so far?
I have none.

43. What are your current AFF goals?
I have no goals in AFF. I’ve been too inactive to do anything.

44. If the AFF community decides to do a get-together, how should we spend it and where?
Book a huge convention in one of the centers in LA, have a party, talk, and do fun activities relating to Kpop.

45. AFF is celebrating it's 7th year and is continuing to grow thanks to our admin, Jason. Do you have a message for him?
Continue to run AFF, even if you (or anyone else) haven’t gotten in the Kpop feels for a long time. If you do decide to pass down your site, lend it to another younger, dedicated Kpop person and creative webmaster.
