( elaboration ) : she is kind of viewed as a cold person at first sight. but once you get to know her, it's partly true but she is more protecting you than bullying you. she is a person that could do things on her own without needing the help of anyone else. it's not like she doesn't want the help, she welcomes it. it's just that she's an independant person and she does well by herself because she doesn't need confirmation or guidance from someone else. she may act kind of distant at times, she is actually secretly protective of everyone she cares about. if you are being bullied or if you're being hurt, lihua will stand up for you and will protect you at all costs. this side of her may be a surprise to you but she is actually protective of someone else in subtle ways that you wouldn't notice but would actually be a benefit to you later on. she is a pretty humorous person once you start talking to her. she actually has a pretty dark and dirty kind of humor. she's kind of like a guy. just imagine a boys's kind of humor, but in a girl's mind. she is an ambitious person. whenever she makes goals, she gets motivated and would do everything to do it. she aims high and she strives for it. adventurous and daring, she is a person who loves adventures. she is also impulsive, therefore, she doesn't think whenever she does daring stuff. it doesn't really go into her mind at all if theres a daring adventure. she just does it. 

 

lihua could be quite a moody person. you could kind of say she's bipolar because her mood could change from happy to emotionless in a heartbeat. she rarely smiles so don't expect a lot of that. it's pretty rare for her to smile, unless it's necessary but her smile is rather beautiful. anyway, she is also short tempered. being impatient as well, she has a short fuse, getting mad over the smallest thing and causing any small situation to turn into something bigger because of her scolding and yelling. she has a very short amount of patience. she tries to work on it but she gets irritated very easily. don't expect her to wait too long. this child is also very stubborn. whenever she's set her mind on one thing, get ready to do a ton of persuading because she isn't gonna budge. actually don't even try trying to convince her to change her mind. it's just not gonna end well and you're gonna lose. she's a very stubborn person don't even try. finally, lihua is a blunt person. not giving a about lies, she only believes in telling the truth. no matter if it's gonna hurt you or not, she's gonna tell you the truth.

 

( background ) : in a wealthy family, with parents, tao wuzhou and lee da bin, and older sister, tao lixue, lihua was raised to be proper and elegant just like her sister. in china, her family, everyone in their neighborhood, and people walking on the streets raved about her sister's beauty and elegance. lihua was always compared to her 8 year older sister who was smarter than her and was planning to go to america to become a nasa scientist. her parents always scolded her for not being proper and for her whole life lihua just felt out of place. 

 

at the age of 10, her family moved to korea for her sister's university. there in korea, lihua discovered so many more things that weren't available in china. a couple months after moving into her new home, lihua was on the computer and discovered kpop. she heard all of these stars rapping and she became entranced. she was just so amazed at how strong and fast they were with their words. lihua became so entranced that she actually started to teach herself how to rap. she learnt how to rap and started perfecting all of the raps she learnt. for the past 5 years, she learnt and perfected the art of rapping in her bedroom in secret. she didn't want her family to take this one thing that she actually enjoyed rather than being signed up for a bunch of sports and hobbies that she didn't want to do at all. 

 

at the age 15, she learned about underground rapping. at night, her and her friend soohyun, would sneak out from their homes and compete in the rap battles at night. ooohhhh hoonneyyyy. soohyun and lihua be 

spittin fire at those competitions. they started to create a reputation for themselves under the name "Blaring silence". their name means that even though none of their families know about their skills, their skills are so loud and bold.

 

the same year, at 15, she learned that yg entertainment were taking auditions. her and soohyun came to the venue from soohyun's older brother dropping them off. lihua told her parents that she had to go over to soohyuns to work on a really big project. at the audition, lihua rapped one of the raps she wrote that she stayed up most nights for. unfortunately, lihua didn't make it into yg which was surprising for her and soohyun. lucky for soohyun tho. lihua's best friend made it in and she couldn't have been any happier for soohyun.

 

lihua went home and continued doing underground rapping but by herself now. during the underground battles, she felt an empty space beside her but that only motivated her even harder to get better so that she'd audition for another company and make it in. at the age of 16, she heard that sm was holding auditions and this time, lihua knew she was gonna make it in. but before she could even get to the venue, she had to tell her parents. 

 

after dinner one night, she asked her parents to go to the living room (her sister was at university so she left home). her parents sat and watched her intently as she stood in front of them, talking about her dream and her hobby. at first, her mother was hesitant about it because she thought it was unlady like to rap but after she realized that lihua was crying, yes the lihua was crying, her mother smiled and supported her. her father on the other hand, didn't say anything. he looked at her, than to his wife, and just stood up and left the room. lihua didn't even know if he approved or not but that didn't stop her from auditioning.

 

her mother drove her to the sm audition venue and lihua performed the rap she rapped for her yg audition. only this time, the rap was more improved. after probably 3 minutes of rapping, they told her that they wanted her to start training right away. and she started training at sm. all she knew when she first came in was how to rap. she never sang or danced in her life. those were the two that were truly difficult for her and what had held her back. but after 6 years of training, she was pretty okay.

( Do you like the idea of there being 22 girls? ) : no. i feel like there's gonna be really bratty girls that think they are better than everyone else and it's just annoying. yes, they are all talented, but with so much talent, there is bound to be really harsh words being thrown around because people are insecure.

( With there being 22 girls, do you think you can rank #1? ) : i'd like to think so. rapping is definitely one of my strongest qualities and i can only hope that people would see that in me. 

( What kind of group do you think sm is creating? mini Snsd? female version of exo? etc ) : from what i know, which i can tell you is not a lot, i can't really give you a solid answer. all of the groups sm made has been really great so far so all i know is that sm will keep making these fantastic groups in the future.

( Could 22 girls debut in a group? ) : definitely not. fans would even think that that's an absurd amount of girls in one group. it'd be hard for the girls to shine individually. we all worked hard to show our talents and skills but that's not going to happen if we have to kill each other for the spotlight. with a smaller amount, there would definitely be time for each girl to shine.

( Is there a rookie that you think will be hard to surpass?  ) : i feel like all of the rappers, vocals, and dancers are gonna be hard to surpass. sm chose the best and we are all gonna live up to our titles. to be honest, i'm kind of intimidated by the younger ones. they are so energetic and fun that it's hard not to love their spirit and hard working attitude. since i'm more of the rapper, i think it'll be hard to compete with rookie numbers 11, 12, 14, and 15. who knows, maybe rookie 22, will surprise us all.
