1. Why was Asianfanfics created?

Shan't answer, due to being an event organiser and knowing the answer haha.


2. What is the exact date of AFF's anniversary?

Same answer as 1. Don't cheat and search for the answers, there's no fun in that.


3. Our admin, Jason, wrote a fanfic: Zero Day Diaries. Which kpop artists are featured in this fic?

Same answer as 1. And no, I will not give you clues/answers.





4. How long have you been on AFF for?

I've been a member since July of 2011. So I've been a member for almost 5 years.


5. What color was AFF's layout when you joined?

It was green, and the notifications were on the left haha.


6. How did you find AFF?

I used to search for fanfictions of my 2PM and SNSD pairings on Winglin and Soompi way back in early 2011 but I couldn't find very many good fanfictions. Thus, I did a simple Google search and came across a fanfiction on AFF.


7. How did you end up becoming a member? What made you want to become a member?

I got persuaded by my cousin to create an account, she was a member herself haha I bet you didn't know that. And simply because I wanted to save/comment on the fanfics I found on AFF.


8. You are user no. ____?

No. 47461. I've memorised it already haha.


9. What was your first username?

My first username (get ready for it) was nobleA_x.


10. What was the first story you read on here?

Oh man, I don't even remember the title anymore. But I do remember it was a Wooyoung x Tiffany pairing fanfic.


11. Who is the first AFFer you talked to?

That would have to be my friend, Tammy (--ethereal). I think. I'm not 100% sure haha. I think she was the first person I wall-posted because she was the author of a really good Jonghyun x Jessica fanfiction.


12. Who was your first friend? Do you still keep in contact?

My first friend was my cousin SupaCj (the one who persuaded me to join), funnily enough she wasn't the first one I talked to. She's not really active on AFF though but we obviously talk because we're cousins haha.


13. How many fanfiction/thread(s) do you currently have? How many of them are complete?

Currently, 2. They're both ongoing since they're not stories.


14. How many unique subscribers do you have?

I currently have 1794. I still get surprised at the number. To have any number of people following what you do is something to be grateful for, no matter the amount.


15. What badges do you have?

I have all the badges (I have the 4 year AFF member badge), except for the AFF gold member badge. It expired haha.


16. Have you been an AFF Gold Member?

Yes. When it was first introduced I bought the membership. Mainly to support the cause. There was some really good deals back then that you can't get now.


17. Out of a scale of 10, how much do you frequent the site?

I would say... a 8-9. #NoShame


18. What is the main activity that you do on AFF?

I browse through threads and lately I've been doing a lot of coding.


19. How do you spend most of your karma points?

Unfortunately, nothing haha. I have donated/sponsored a few people. But besides that I don't really know what to do with it at the moment. I'll have to think about it. I might use it for events on my threads.


20. How would you like to spend your karma points? (E.g. Kpop merchandise.)

If I could spend it on something—I'd probably get all the physical Kpop albums that I want. I'm not really big on collecting physical albums so it'll be a new experience. Yes, I don't own any Kpop albums at all.


21. Have you ever uploaded a video in the video gallery?

No. I haven't really had the need too. But I want to look into it.


22. Have you entered the chatroom? How was it like for you?

Yes, I think once a while ago. But damn, I completely forgot there was a chatroom. I should visit it one time haha.


23. What is your favourite feature of AFF?

Hm, I don't have a favourite per se. But for some reason I find the Requests page really neat. Sometimes when I want to do a graphic request but don't feel like fufilling my responsibility to a graphic shop, then I'd randomly approach a request on that page.


24. What is your least favourite feature of AFF? How can it be improved to make it better?

Author Spotlight. There's nothing wrong with the feature itself, because it's a great opportunity to put a spotlight on writers who publish a book. But like... like. I don't know. I feel like there should be a certain time frame that an author is in that section. Once their time in the section is up then just remove the feature. Let it come back when there's a new author who has published a book, etc.


25. If you could introduce just one feature on AFF, what would it be and why?

I'm torn between password protected threads/chapters or a tagging feature. The whole @username thing should be here in my opinion.


26. If you could customize the way AFF appears to you, what color would it be? You could just pick one color or a palette.

I kind of like the black and white one I have on right now. I don't really like other solid colours other than the black and white shade because I know I'll get sick of it easily and go back to the b/w version anyway.


27. Who is/are your best friend(s) on AFF?

Best friends, hm. I'd say Dee (suzuyas), Keeper (dream_keeper88) and Liz (lizryan). They're the three I talk to the most haha.


28. Who are the users you want to get to know better?

Oh. There have been a few that I see and think... I want to talk to that person too. But like, it's too embarrassing to reveal who so uh. Yeah, hi (~￣▽￣)~


29. Are you grateful/owe something to someone on AFF? Who and why?

Yes, I'm grateful to a few. I'm grateful to Valerie (caline). She gifted a crazy amount of karma to me a long time ago, like really crazy. It's still with me haha, I'm sorry Val, I haven't figured out what to do with it yet.

I'm grateful to my #ACJN crew from my oldie days for making AFF very, very interesting for me.

I'm grateful to Dee (suzuyas), for being a loser with me.

And last, but not least—my subscribers. You all are crazy, I'm telling you haha.


30. Who are your AFF inspirations?

For graphics, my inspirations are _Melie and lionessheart. Well, more like favourite designers over inspirations because I can't even begin to try their style.

For coding, my inspirations are icednoodles and suzuyas.


31. If you could put a star on any of your fics/threads, which one would you pick?

Haha! Probably, The Boy in Seoul. This year will make it 4 years of its existence, it would be nice to see it featured. Otherwise, I like it as it is now.


32. What is/are your all time favourite storie(s)/thread(s)?

Most of them are threads haha. Edelweiss Themes by suzuyas, Time For Heroes by icednoodles, TYFH by contaegious, Layout Paradise by lizryan, and NT by font-size and wittybastard. 


33. Who is/are your all time favourite author/s?

I guess you can see my answer for Q30 and Q32 for this question.


34. If you could put a star on another user's fics/threads, which one would you pick?

Oh, that would be Syncratic Designs. Come on, that layout thread needs a star.


35. If you could have any username you want, what would that be? (Did someone already take the username you wanted?)

Heh. I think I'm fine with mine. I feel like it's the same situation as my answer in Q26. I'll probably get sick of my new username and want my old, simple username back. 


36. If you would write a fanfic about your life in AFF, what would the title be?

The Boy Who Actually Hasn't Gone To Seoul


37. What was the weirdest thing you encountered on the site?

I've had a friend on here tell me that they had feelings for me? Haha. It wasn't weird in its own nature, but I found it a little awkward because we were pretty close. We're still good friends now though, and she seems happy.

Also because I felt like I wouldn't really happen to anyone (let alone me) through this site, but that's a stupid thought now that I think about it because I have a few friends on here that have met their current bf/gf on AFF. Rocking an LDR, I'm rooting for you guys.


38. What was the best thing that has happened to you on the site?

I think the best thing I was able to experience was sharing Dandy to my few subscribers way back then. I got to share my passion to my subscribers from The Boy in Seoul, there was only a few that time.


39. Have your interests changed on AFF? If yes, in what way? (Eg. Change of OTP, bias group, AFF activity.)

Definitely. I think now that I know how to code on AFF, I've opened up a different path for myself to experience on AFF. Such as how I first created The Boy in Seoul, I opened a path for me to hone my skills as a designer. Same thing when I became co-owner of the graphic shop Squarepants Graphics.

But what hasn't changed is the fact that SHINee is still my ultimate bias group.


40. There are many communities now on AFF (such as the writing, designing, coding, applyfic, roleplay, reader communities). Is there a community that you aren't part of but want to try one time?

Oh, man. I'd say the applyfic community. But I've done it once or twice already a long time ago. So—I guess the next best thing is the writing community. I am not a writer, at all. So I'd like to try it haha.


41. What is the best thing AFF or being a member of AFF taught you?

The designing and coding skills I've acquired up till now. I don't think I would've been able to continue to grow and hone my skills—or even get into either of those hobbies if it hadn't been for AFF.


42. What is your greatest contribution to the site so far?

This is a hard question to answer for myself. I don't know about "greatest contribution" but I'm able to express my style in design and layouts on the site. And I think for any designer and coder, that's one of the top contributions they can make on the site.


43. What are your current AFF goals?

My current goals are to continue updating both Prototype and The Boy in Seoul, like it's always been haha nothing exciting. However, I do feel like doing a large event like Dandy again.


44. If the AFF community decides to do a get-together, how should we spend it and where?

A blue carpet event haha, an AFF ball. How cute would that be?


45. AFF is celebrating it's 7th year and is continuing to grow thanks to our admin, Jason. Do you have a message for him?

Jason, what's up? I just wanted to say that this site will be nothing if it weren't for the measures you've taken and goals you've reached for AFF. So I, and the whole AFF community, will always be grateful for everything you do for us and the site. Even though we may be whiny little rascals sometimes, underneath that is nothing but appreciation for creating this channel for us to express our creativity and imagination in different ways.

Our community has grown so much, we have so many subcommunities now on AFF. You've been the ideal admin up till now and always ready to adapt to the changes that come with a growing community.
