A little too late for pre-teen years, but Somewhere in Neverland - All Time Low. I was also a pre-teen when all the K-Pop "classics" came out and remember K-Pop getting big in Southeast Asia very well (Sorry Sorry, Gee, Run Devil Run, Mirotic, Nobody, etc. I wanted to strangle the person who wrote Sorry Sorry after it was played for the 8000th time in 2009).

If we're going 80s inspired, One Black Night - Wonder Girls but the entirety of the Reboot album was amazing. I still don't understand why Korea ignored it.

My parents only played music from their generation (and showed us movies from their generation) when I was kid and as a result, I actually believed bands like Queen were current and didn't know any bands from my own generation until all the other kids told me otherwise. And called me lots of names, as kids do.
