She stands firm on what she wants and is not afraid to take risks. Even though she knows that she could go to Oxford or Cambridge University for a better, brighter and richer future, she chose Moorim because she knows that the letter that was sent to her was not just coincidence and there is a meaning to why she was chosen. She knew that leaving America behind and moving to Korea all by herself when she was only 19 was dangerous and worrying to say the least but her determination never stirred. She wanted to know more of her mother's homeland and nothing would stop her.
Even though she is always praised for her outstanding performances, whether in the advanced maths test, Judo competition or helping an old lady carry her groceries, Saeun never let the praises get into her head. She would always remain humble, never boasting of her achievements or thinking she is the best in her head.
That's the problem. She never thinks she is good enough despite her many achiecements and outstanding performances in school. She is very critical of herself and would not let small mistakes go. If she got 90% on a test she would be upset and disappointed in herself.
Saeun is brutally honest. She says facts and never lies about anything but she never sugar coats her words. However, it is not that she is purposely trying to hurt the person by stating a brutal fact but she believes that when something has to be pointed out, she will say it, straight to the point without going in circles. Saeun thinks that speaking the truth will make the person 'wake up' and not be delusional.
Making friends is as hard as walking into the forest of thorns. She doesn't hate people, she just doesn't know how to interact properly. When someone talks to her, her face and body freezes as her brain tries to come up with possible words to say. Whenever someone tries to befriend her, her default face shows of annoyance and cold which scares others. Sometimes it makes people avoid her.
It's quite interesting to know that she believes in almost anything you say. Not to the point where Santa Claus is real but she thinks that everyone tells the truth, because she does that. Saeun takes people's words when said and always find it puzzling when the truth is the opposite. There was one time a boy said that he was the best in video games, only to have died in the first round and Saeun witnessed the scene with her eyes furrowed because she actually believed that the jock was actually good at games..

She is an only child and was born and raised in America. Her Father is strict and always made sure his only daughter could be better than her male relatives due to Saeun's grandfather. Her grandfather was prejudiced against girls and believed that boys are always better. Her father, wanting to prove that his daughter can do things boys can, especially to his father, he made sure to bring up Saeun with discipline. Saeun's mother was gentle and caring, always supporting Saeun from behind. After a scolding from her father, Saeun would find comfort in her mother's arms. There was one thing that her mother always told her was that most humans are judgmental but there are few who are loyal and trustworthy. Saeun did not understand what her mother meant but took it to heart anyway. However, her mother passed away in a car accident when she was 13 years old. Her father became even more stricter and pushing Saeun to her limits to take his mind off the death of his beloved wife.
Saeun wanted to know more about Korea, wanting know more about the hometown of her late mother whom was her source of comfort and support. Like an answer to her prayers, she was offered a school in Korea. After a Judo competition, Saeun won first place and when she was about to leave the stadium, a man walked up to her and gave her his business card. She didn't see any problems listening to the man(because she gullible af) and when the man told her about a martial arts based school in Korea, she shouted a 'yes' without hesitation. After the letter was sent to her and she settled the administrative matters, she packed her bags and bid America and her father farewell. She still calls her father to report of her progress in school because even though her father has been very strict to her, she understands the heart of it all.
Ever since she was 5, she would wake up early in the morning for a jog, she would practise martial arts in the park. She would have ballet classes every Monday, Tuesday and Friday. However, after she moved to Korea, she stopped going for classes but joined a dance club in Moorim University.

He would always be unapproving of Saeun, being almost the only girl among the relatives, with the rest having sons. Saeun doesn't really like her grandfather since he is the csuse to her own father's strict upbringing.

Anna was curious to Saeun's cold personality only to find out after seeing her her help clean the classroom herself and complimenting Saeun to realise that the embarrassed girl is actually not cold at all but just shy and introverted. Mischievous and playful. He has a thing for pranking people and teasing the life out of his friends. He is very friendly and easy to talk to but when you become friends with him, you instantly become a victim of his harmless pranks. Like getting wet on the first period of science or gooey substance on your chair. He likes to have fun and enjoys parties. His favourite song is 'Tic Toc' by Kesha because 'the party don't start till I walk in'. He is born in an all boys family, with exception of his mum, and went to an all boys school until Moorim so he is sometimes a little awkward when talking alone with girls.

Saeun knows him as the guy who likes to play pranks on his friends and favourite teachers. Saeun also knows he is the guy who sits right in front of her for Maths class and has a hard time concentrating because the boy right in front of her keeps laughing and talking aloud. There was once she asked him if they could change seats but the boy simply stuck his tongue out and laughed. Saeun sometimes wished that she took the first row in class instead of the second. She also knows he is in her science class, but he sits right behind her instead.

I don't know why but I have a thing for buses. Because I think Saeun sleeping on Jungkook's shoulder in the bus late at night is very cute.
There was an outbreak of fire and Saeun went inside to save a little girl, only to get trapped inside, scared, she didn't move even though she had the power to break the wooden boards and get out but she froze on her spot, not moving only to have Jungkook come running to her rescue and carrying her (piggy back style) out of the fire.
