the word " forgotten "

as the tittle has stated , does the word "forgotten" exists ? 

according to my english teacher , she said this word doesn't exists as there's only "forget" and "forgot" 

as well as for the tenses its " forget  - forgot - forgot " 

so that's what she told me , i was so confused regarding this tbvh 

 

what do you think ? any idea about that ?

correct your english teacher. 'forgotten' is past participle of 'forget'. it exists.

Your English teacher appears to have forgotten that "forgotten" is a word that exists in the English language. As others have commented below, it is a past participle of forget. Often, forgot and forgotten are used interchangeably, bot "forgot" is the simple past of "forget", where "forgotten" is the past participle. So "I forgot" or "I have forgotten".

yes it is a word, in british english I can tell you it is part of the past tense...

"I'd forgotten to help her that day"- that would be how you would use it

It's the past participle of forget ^^ so yeah, it exists.
Are you studying British or American English? Because I know 'forgot' is also accepted as a past participle in American English (although, it's probably in speech? I could be wrong on this one, totally)
