Upvoting

If you go to read a story, do you upvote when reading the intro? Or is it when you finish the oneshot/chaptered series? I'd like everyone's thoughts on this :)

I, personally, always try to upvote stories that I come across and really like the introduction. You want to know why? The introduction is what brings people to your story. It is a summary of what your ENTIRE story is about, and when it is damn good, I upvote :)

I usually upvote most stories I read because I feel like if you spent time and hard work an any piece, even its not the best, you still deserve deserve upvotes XD but on certain authors stories I just upvote straight away because I know it will be great (you tbh LOL)

I usually upvote after reading the first chapter.
If I still feel iffy about the story, I will wait a
couple of more chapter until I'm convinced it's a
great story. But yeah I'll usually upvote after the
first chapter ^-^

Yeah I do that with my fav.authors.I dont know if you notice but I did upvote your stories just by reading the intro.But I do upvotes with other stories in the middle of the stories.

A lot of times I will wait to upvote even if it sounds like a nice story in the intro, the author could have really poor execution or something. But that's just me! I'm a little stingy with my upvotes but I've been trying to do it just to encourage some of my authors <3

I upvote after :) But usually anything that goes with my ship, I give a vote. I want to give them a chance.

Usually I only upvote when I've read parts of the story. I don't necessarily have to finish but I never upvote on the foreword alone. But then again, i rarely read on AFF so it's not like I upvote a lot either. It takes a lot to get my vote.

It depends.
Some of the intros aren't really that in depth, so I tend to read a few chapters, or the one shot and if I like it, I upvote.
Or sometimes the idea is great but the execution isn't that great, so I upvote those too. If the premise is good, why not~
