Let Me Introduce myself 

style/appearance — Rimi is 165 cm tall and weighs 48 kg. Rimi has a curvy build. she likes to keep her hair long and very rarely does she ever get a haircut, she refuses to cut her hair.The only way she'll get one is if it's 100% necessary, and by then she'll complain about forever! Her usual hair color is always somewhere along the lines of honey brown. though she sometimes sports it dark brown or even black. Also, she has nothing against bleaching her hair, she's just terrified of it getting damaged and then having to cut if off. xD Her face is roundish shaped and she has abit of strong Korean nose, and even though people have told her that she should get it slimmed she refuses because her grandmother once told her "why would you want to get rid of a part of you that makes you look like you?" ever since then, she stopped thinking about plastic surgery, and tries to be happy with her natural appearance, she rarely wears makeup unless she has some sort of schedule and she only ever wears full makeup for performances and other things like that. If it's just a variety show, she wears light makeup that shows off her good skin. Her lips are also quite plump and it's a part of her that she likes that most. She has almond shaped eyes with a natural double eye-lid  and straight eyebrows.

Rimi's clothing style is usually very simple and cool. she likes to match odd pieces together to make something that looks different. she also likes platform sneakers a lot, and studded boots, let's just say that she has an eccentric style in shoes. ie. 1 2 3 4 5 \\ 1 2 3 4 5.

Rimi's personality is actually very confusing and contradicting. she tends to give off very -ish vibes when you first meet her. she has a strong personality and she's very loud and outgoing. so a lot of people tell her that she's very charismatic and confident. but the reality is that she's actually very sweet and caring. she hates hearing people talk bad about other people or seeing people get mistreated. she's the kind of person that will always treat a person right and never talk smack about someone behind their backs, prefering to just say everything right in the moment so that there are no confusions. she also absolutely loves animals (she has a chihuahua/winnie mix called pepper and he's her son) and babies, her favorite tv show is "the return of superman" and she hopes that one day when she's older and married her husband and babies can be on that show, though she's sure that it's not going to be around by the time that she finally settles down to have children or gets married. this makes her sad. but she never dwells on the things that make her sad, that's another good point about her personality, it doesn't matter where she's at she's always called out for being one of the moodmakers in the group. being in big crowds or in the center of attention are the places where she most flourishes. and she loves the attention, loves that it gives her a boost of adrenaline that makes her feel like she could go on for days.
 
Rimi loves the holidays, being that she's from america a country where holidays like halloween, and christmas are celebrated enthusiastically she's always in for going all out on those days. And tends to scare her friends and other trainee members because of her over excitement, but can you blame her, you know when you just hear those sleigh-bells ring ding dingly and everything!
 
Rimi loves to dance and she always feels that dancing is one of the gratests ways to express how you're feeling in the moment. she's known to just break into dance at random times, and is really good at making dances look funny or exaggerated which always makes people laugh, she's very competitive and hates to lose, so don't ever try to play games with her because if she loses she'll be asking you for a rematching for the next five years. i'm not kidding, it's about pride with her. but all in all she mostly likes to kid around a lot, and make people feel happy.
 
though Rimi's personality feels simple and sweet, she still has those personal times where she just seems to fall in on herself. Rimi is what people call a workaholic, she's always working or moving or doing something. if she's not doing something she becomes deppressed and sad. she's always been like that, even when she was younger she was always working to be the best at everything she did. she liked music and dancing when she was young so she always made her parents enroll her in classes for both things (she can play both the piano and guitar), she's always strived but success is never enough for and she has a tendency of working until the point that she gets sick, hurts herself and can't work anymore. this also brings out the stress in her, being sick stresses her out and causes her to suffer from anxiety. not being able to work really messes her up. so even as she's sick, she'll find ways to be doing something, be it composing, editing, filming, or even cleaning, she's obsessed.
 
Rimi still hasn't learned how to take care of herself properly, she's very good at taking care of other people especially people who are younger than her, like her younger brother. she loves and takes so much care of her brother that if it wasn't for the fact that they looked exactly like siblings people would ask her if he was her child. she loves him that much, especially since coming to s.korea and he followed along with her, he's only had her all this time, so she feels like she has to care for him with all that she's got. and so she does.
 
Rimi lives her life mostly like that, always thinking about other people and taking care of other people. she's kind and caring, and just the type of person to get hurt by other people, a lot because for some reason when it comes to defending herself she never knows what to say, because in her mind she's not that great either.

background —
Rimi was born the middle child to two very successful individuals, a very caring mother who is a pediatrician (with her own practice) and a father who is a certified surgeon (not plastic surgery). she has 2 brothers, her older brother christopher (or chang hyuk) is a music producer and lives in australia. he's a very good older brother though she rarely gets to see him. her youngest brother chang kyun (or Kevin), is the baby of the family who came along to s.korea with her when she decided to become a singer in korea. her brother had also been scouted by the same company that had scouted Rimi back in 2010.
 
Rimi was scouted by jyp scouts in 2010, and that's when her dream of becoming a singer in s.korea became more abundant, she managed to prove to her parents that she could handle both of her careers of being a full time student and a full time trainee by becoming number 1 in her freshmen class before leaving to s.korea. her parents were quite surprised with her determination and agreed to let her and chang kyun go, with the promise that they both keep up their grades and promise to graduate from high school and college.
 
Rimi now attends seoul university as a double major in creative writing (she loves to write stories and poetry , songs... etc.) and modern music production. she is currently a sophmore.
 
when Rimi first came to s.korea she was supposed to live with her paternal grandparents but due to the fact that they travelled a lot (since they are retired from their careers), and were rarely home the grandparent's decided to gift their seoul apartment (home) to the siblings (also since their house was like a museum, and none of them would have been comfortable with staying there alone). which was closer to their respective companies and in a better and more accessible part of town. both of the kids lived there until chang kyun had to go live in the dorm that was provided for monsta x trainees. Rimi even though the apartment was pretty spacious with four bedrooms and 2 and half bathrooms never truly felt alone since she had her puppy with her at all times.
 
this was around the time when she met minzy who happened to live in the same apartment complex as her. they became very close friends due to the fact that they bothlived in the same building and were had the same interests and hobbies, also they were always just close to one another so when Minzy was bored she would go hangout at Rimi's and when Rimi was bored she would go bother Minzy a bit. She also met her other friend sohyun through minzy since the girls were already best friends, Minzy just introduced Sohyun to Rimi when they went on a shopping trip. It was nice for Rimi to have people that she could friends with. through this network she made other friends and other friends, so ever since she came to s.korea she never felt alone, or lonely.
 
her parents weren't initially happy with the idea of their underage children living in s.korea alone,, and even had thoughts of pulling them out of the trainee program, but after Rimi begged them not to do that, telling them that they needed to trust her the same way that their parents trusted them when they sent them to live in America by themselves. After that argument they decided to trust them and wished them the best, and also their grandparents had promised to keep in touch with them at all times. this pacified the parents even further.

Rimi's personality is very similar to her mom's they're both caring and kind, and like to make people feel better, Minah wishes that Rimi had been a pediatrician like her, but alas all her children decided to become musicians, what else can she do but wish them the best?

Best Friend | gong minji (minzy) | singer | Rimi lives in the same apartment complex that Minji does, this the apartment that her grandmother gifted to her because of the difficulties with her and Chang hyuk staying in her home while her and her grandfather were out travelling. Rimi didn't know that Minji of 2NE1 lived in the same apartment complex but she had seen her around a few times, mostly when they were both going up or down the elevator since they both have around the same schedule being that they are both in similar professions. One day, after Rimi got tired of being a creepy fan (this was around 2011) and 2NE1 was once again on brake Rimi saw Minzy was about to go on the elevator she decided to finally introduce herself. Minzy was weary at first because creepy fans had a tendency to follow her around sometimes but she pacified when she saw Rimi had a key card for that apartment complex too. They acquaintances after that, but it was easy to get closer because they have a similar personality that meld well together when they talk or text over the phone. Minzy even invites Rimi to hangout with her when she's at the YG building (even though people don't really know that she's a trainee from another company) Rimi goes sometimes when she's bored and has nothing else to do. | minji is a very confident girl, she loves to dance and sing and gets along well with everyone because of her sweet personality

 

Good Friend | kwon sohyun (sohyun) | singer | These 2 girls met through Minzy, Minzy and Sohyun were already very good friends and one day Minzy invited her when she and Rimi decided to go on a shopping date. Rimi and Sohyun had a bit of difficult time becoming close, since Sohyun is a bit of a shy person when it comes to people that she doesn't know well, and Rimi doesn't know how to get along with people who are too quiet but slowly as they met up more and more she and Sohyun became close enough that it's normal for them to text and even visit one another on their off days. They're even okay hanging out when Minzy's not around and Minzy's sometimes jokes that these two will one day replace her with each other and not need her anymore. | sohyun has a quieter personality than Rimi, but this is only in the beginning after a while she opens up and is very friendly and talkitive.

 

friend | kang seung yoon | singer | 8 | She knew Seungyoon from watching him on TV, since he was in on that singing competition show, after he was on the show he became a YG trainee and Rimi met him because one day she was waiting for Minzy to come let her in to the YG building (You need a code to enter the building and Rimi doesn't know it, because she feels like that's something that she shouldn't know, because YG isn't her training company) and Seungyoon was just coming to practice and saw her standing there, he thought that she was some weirdo and told her that she shouldn't be waiting outside for her unnies or oppas because she could catch a cold or something (basically implying that she was some fan who should give it up and just go home), Rimi was embarrassed by this but she explained to him that she was just waiting for Minzy to open the door for him. Of course he didn't believe her, until she showed him the message where Minzy is telling her that she will down to open the door for her in a minute. He still didn't quite believe her, but he was going to open the door when Minzy came down and opened it instead, she was surprised to see Seungyoon and Rimi talking to closely, but didn't say anything. Minzy spent the first couple of months trying to get Seungyoon and Rimi together, but she didn't know that the two of them honestly just liked each other as friends. Seungyoon later becomes like that one guy friend that you can ask any guy question (even if it's embarrassing) and he'll answer it honestly from the guys perspective without getting weird about it.   | he's very smart, he' funny, and outgoing.

ex-boyfriend | nam taehyun | singer | 5 (used to be 10) | Rimi actually met him before she met Seungyoon, and she liked his adorable and down to earth but kinda diva-ish personality. She noticed how every time she would go hangout with Minzy he would always be coming around, and she thought he must have some sort of crush on Minzy and when she told her about it, Minzy denied it, but she saw how it kinda made her a little bit happy. So, every time Taehyun came to talk to her, she would always bring up Minzy, trying to get a confession out of him, when he suddenly asked her why she was always trying to bring another girl into the conversation when he was trying to flirt with her. Rimi was dumbfounded, she didn't understand what he was telling her for five minutes straight and she even had to ask him to repeat himself. Taehyun just laughed, and asked her why she thought he kept coming around, Rimi was honest and told him that she thought he wanted to get closer to Minzy by using Minzy's closest friend. Then it was Taehyun's turn to be dumbfounded, he asked her if all the flirting he had been doing with her just went over her head and nodded. It was kinda awkward between them after then, and Minzy noticed so she asked if something happened between them. Rimi didn't want to say, because she honestly thought that Minzy might like him, but she decided that it was always better to be honest than to keep a truth to yourself. So she told her, and Minzy laughed, she didn't like him like that. A few weeks later Minzy texted her and told her to come hang out with her at YG again and Rimi told her that she could but only for a few hours, because then she had to go practice herself. When she got to the building Minzy was waiting for her downstairs with a bag of food and Rimi being who she is got excited about food and hugged her, Minzy just laughed and told her to go wait for at the usual place because she forgot to get the drinks and that she would meet her there. Rimi agreed and ran to the usual practice room. There was Taehyun sitting on the floor leaning against the wall-mirror  drinking some coca-cola, in that moment with the lights dimmed and his bangs falling into his eyes she noticed how pretty he actually was, and she liked it. Taehyun caught her staring at him and jumped to his feet, he hadn't expected to see her. He began to explain himself but Rimi cut him off, and told him what she thought Minzy had just tried to do. They didn't exactly become a couple right then and there but it didn't take long. Taehyun already really liked her, he thought she was pretty and Minzy and Rimi would always dance and practice together so he also liked how she worked so hard all the time. They called and texted each other everyday and everynight and they were pretty much inseparable but one day out of the blue, (actually YG told him that he needed to concentrate on building his career more, so he suggested that he should not have a girl friend until he was more stable and had the time.) Taehyun suddenly told her that he thought it would best if they broke up. He said that he needed to concentrate on his career and that he really liked her but that she was just getting in the way and distracting him. Rimi was devasted, she didn't understand why he had to brakeup with her, they could have taken a brake or something, she cried every night for a month straight, until she began getting herself back together, she hasn't completely forgotten about him. She gets a little emotional when she sees him, but for the most part she remembers how to act like a normal person and make a fool of herself.  | he's very confident, funny, and just so lovable.

WHEN DID THEY FIRST MEET OR WILL MEET?

Rimi and Mark are both from Arcadia, and they were both scouted at around the same time. Rimi came to S.Korea in 2010 and became a JYP trainee at that time, Jackson also became a JYP trainee at that time so they were basically trainees together. They had the same dance lessons and rap lessons for a whole year. Mark and Rimi weren't exactly close, but since they had come from the same place it was easy for them to become a little closer, at around this time Mark became friends with Jackson, and when Rimi would hangout with Mark (just regular hangout sessions at the practice studio), Jackson would be there too, Jackson would always be talking and making jokes and trying to make everyone happy. Before anything else, she liked how he was completely different from the rest of the guys around her, he had a different kind of aura that seperated him from the rest of the male trainees (even JB who was like a God to all the trainees for some reason). He was so intense and confident that it was like a light shining around him, and everyone (including herself) was attracted like moths to a flame. She didn't really get what she was feeling for him and she didn't really get much time to explore the feeling either because about 7 months later, she had to leave JYP because of some sort of issues that she was having with her visa. She went back to Arcadia, until everything was resolved, this took about 3 months, and then when she went back, the people at JYP had already dropped her from the training program. So, she had to go look for another entertainment company if wanted to debut as an idol.

WHAT IS THEIR RELATIONSHIP LIKE?

Jackson and Rimi have literally the same schedule, she's a variety queen since she's so talkitive and outgoing the company likes to send her to do lots of promotions so that she gets the Venus name out there for everybody to know them. So, they end up being together a lot of the times. At first it was awkward but they got used to it, and now it's more awkward when he's not around. so, they are pretty good friends, who are pretty much crushing pretty hard on each other. The chemistry is so palpable between them that most of the time their friends just want to shove them into a room and tell them to just get it on already because they're disgusting!
