Haku is actually a mature and reasonable person, she thinks logically. Though when she's angry, she's a completely scary. She uses violence rather than words, because she's very bad with words. But after she let her anger cool down, she would reason and apologies if neccessary. She's a quiet person who rather read than go into a random fights. She is very protective and loyal, that's why she always gets into fight to protect her friends even if they are not the normal type of friends. Though she is not all that nice, she is a good liar and can be very manipulative. Despite her looks and being a gangster, she is quite smart if she study. She's good at memorizing, but she is lazy and rather laze around than study. She has a very sharp tongue and she says straight forwardly to anyone including her friends. She is honest and blunt towards the one she thinks is trustworthy. She is sarcastic, especially towards her enemies and very good at it.

current life Haku lives with her aunt and her younger brother,Koyuki, when she was around 10 years old. Her parents left them with a 300 million won debt when she was 9 years old, her parents just vanished on one night with just a not saying 'sorry, we love you' note. although her aunt is rich and they live comfortbly, she only let her aunt pay only 100 million and decided to pay the remaining debt herself when she grows up. She hates her parents for abandoning them, but she felt like she was part of the reason that they were abandoned. Haku kept her grades average and her English always perfect, as she works with her aunt as a translator to earn money to pay her parent's debt. Her aunt owns a caberet club and does underground business, but she never gets involved with illegal jobs. Other than that, she often gets into a fight because her parents and protecting her brother,friends. She usually misses first period and always late for school due to gangsters picking a fight. After school, she gets a martial art lessons from her aunt's right hand man. Her aunt suggested that she protect herself with her fist if it's necessary due to daily bullying towards Haku because of her eyes.

Recently, Haku find out why her parents ended up in a huge debt. They owned a small toy factory that got bankrupt due to generation change where kids no longer play with toys. When the factory closed down, they tried to re opened it by borrowing money from the loan shark. They try to pay back their investors, but once again the business failed and had to shut the factory down. They borrowed money again and again to pay back their partners and investors. In the end they ended up in a huge debt where they can't be with their kids. So when she found the money and a notice about the Liar Game, she was terrified with the amount of money in front of her and yet, that was when she thought that it's the only way pay back her parent's debt.  Though the only reason she decided to 'win' Liar game was, she wanted to loan shark to stop bothering her younger who couldn't lift his fists to protect himself.

Her younger brother, Koyuki. Straight A's student, aloof and yet more mature than her sister. He is only 12 and the one who gave her permission to continue with the game. He trust his sister more than anyone, but he is the type to stay distant.

Her English teacher, 25, Aiden Woo(Narimiya Hiroki). The one who always in the way, he wanted her out of the game. Although he dislikes the way she live her life, he still supports her. He found out that she was in the game because he coincidentally followed her to the game location and confronted her. Haku gets agressive around him, because she feels self concious with him. She gets shy and yet agressively push him away, though sometime she would let her honesty slip and gave him hints that she likes him. Though he treats her like a kid, a troublemaker. But he does sees her as a girl, but doesn't know how to treat her differently than be kind to her like a teacher would. Sometimes he gets too involved with her without himself noticing.

 

life in gunsun First year in Gunsun was hell, no one knew who she is and why her eyes is different. She was bullied and been called names such as 'witch', monster or 'gumiho'. But ever since she came to school one day, all beaten up, it got worse. People starts to spread rumors that she is a juvi and killed someone, everyone avoided her completely. It was fine for her, it was better to be avoided than to avoid. Though she saved a two deliquents in her school, which became her loyal friends and became a group of dangerous deliquents in the public eye. The teachers were scared to say anything since she came in due to her aunt's connections, except one teacher. Her english teacher, who is always curious why she kept her English grade perfect and why she behaves the way she does. To this days, most her schoolmates avoid her but thats mostly the grades below her. The people in her grades already know that she wont harm them unless they anger her. She does talk to her classmate and tries to be polite and not scare them.

She frowned as she thought of her brother and her existing debts.  "I have no reason to tell you the real reason...but i will win and i have to win" Haku said as she emphasized her words.

The questioned made Haku laughed, sarcastically before she stare with determination.  "Even if i do...i have to do everything to survive and win. It's either kill or be killed..." She said without any hesitation.

 

what is your strategy to win the game? 
"Like i said, i have no reason to tell you...but i can say it's, observe,calculate, stay with the winningy team till the end. By the end, i meant their 'end'" Haku smiled slightly to her answer.

 

you have received the notice that you are a participant of the game. who would you share this information with, and why? 
"Only with my brother. I don't need to cause any worry towards my family." She said as she thought of her aunt and the guys.

 

if one of your trusted associates is scheming to exploit you of your fortune, what is your reaction? 
The question didn't waver Haku but she frowned at the thought of that happening. "Honestly, that is an expected thing...this is the Liar game" Haku said as she lower her head for a second and look up again with a serious look on her face and continued.
"Then i'll be prepared and make sure to outsmart them..."
