GUESS WHO GOT TO GO SEE INFINITE????????

THAT'S RIGHT, ME!!!!11!11!1! *continues to sob*

Here's my fanaccount of what happened and about how I was 5 cm away from touching Woohyun & Hoya & Sungjong... 

It all began sometime in November and I was in school in my free block (aka I do homework from other classes and go through facebook and tumblr) and I was scrolling through Facebook when I saw:

I SCREAMED EVEN THOUGH I WAS IN CLASS AND PEOPLE AROUND ME WERE DOING MATH AND EVERYONE WAS LIKE ARE YOU OKAY AND I WAS LIKE HAHA TOTALLY I'M COMPLETELY FINE I'M OKAY DEFINITELY

Oh and by the way January 6th is my birthday : ))) January 7th was the concert : ))) I couldn't believe it and I was just so excited that Infinite was going to come to Vancouver!!

Okay,,, I'll be honest with you;; I've only started listening to idol kpop (I listened to more ballads and older 90's-ish songs since that's what my family listens to) since last year-ish?? (long detour about my life; if you don't want to read this part go ahead and skip :P) One of my friends listened to 2NE1 so I got hooked on them first, and then I watched a kdrama called The Queen's Classroom, and one of the OST's was a SHINee song "Green Rain" so I got into Shinee. Then, my other friend in Toronto who is a diehard inspirit (she cried when Infinite came to Vancouver but not Toronto) showed me THIS which then got me into aff, and eventually I ditched Shinee for Infinite (I don't like any Shinee songs??? I don't like Lucifer or Juliet or Hello or Replay or Ring Ding Dong??? The only 3 Shinee songs I like are View, Dream Girl, and Green Rain :/) I actually originally had Key as my main bias but after finding out Woohyun was Key's bff, Woohyun quickly became a bias wrecker (and is now tied with Key as my bias). I don't listen to a lot of music (Even though I'm a blackjack I only have like 20 2NE1 songs on my phone) and I actually had quite a few (6-7?) Infinite songs on my phone even though I didn't really stan them that much. 

SO!!! I WAS SUPER EXCITED!!!!!!

This led to me downloading the entire Reality album, stalking setlists and listening to all their title songs. While I can't name 60% of their discography in order like I can with 2NE1, I felt like I was pretty prepared to enter the world of inspirits.

However, here was the hard part. I'm a Korean male and it's kinda hard to tell your parents you want to pay like $200 to go to a boy band concert. My parents are also suuuuper asian and kind of want me to study 24/7. So what was I going to do??? :/

Luckily, I had a breakthrough. One of my friends from Seattle was like "OMG WE HAVE TO GO" so I convinced my mom (with the help of my cousin sister who's super close with my mom) to let me go to Infinite, saying that I needed to 'accompany my friend'. Now, the problem was MONEY.

My friend's mom bought the tickets for us online (ROW 15!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and I told my mom that the price was $80 when it was actually $190 and begged the rest from my friends as Christmas presents :')) and I actually surprisingly made it!!! 

One of my friend's mom was in China, and so my friend asked me if I wanted anything from online markets in China. And of course, heck yeah I did! I bought these cute Infinite pencils, glowing crown headbands, an INFINITE REALITY TSHIRT THAT'S REALLY CUTE and an Infinite wallet. #merch ;)

Everything was organized; I had enough money to buy actual merch at the concert, the tickets were bought and paid for, I memorized all the fanchants and songs, I had a new phone (because I had broken my old one) and had enough storage to probably film the whole thing, I was in the Vancouver Inspirit Facebook group getting updates....

I didn't have a ride.

This led to me skipping the last 30 minutes of my afterschool class (AP Psych) and bussing + riding the skytrain down the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, which was where the concert was being held. It took like a solid 90 minutes since I live far from downtown, and I kinda got lost getting off the skytrain and walking to the theatre.

The concert was supposed to start at 8 and doors open at 7. It was 6 when I arrived and there was already a huge mob of people waiting. A few people were giving out banners and I took them : )

This is all the merch I got! The top yellow Woohyun banner was free, and was for Woohyun's solo song "Everyday".

The white Hoya banner was also free and they just kinda gave it out.

I bought the L slogan from L'aile, along with a fan and a photocard set for $20. L'aile-nim was super nice and asked me if I was an L-bias (sorry,,, I'm a Woohyun bias...) but she gave me an extra fan!! : ) The photocard set had 5 bigger sized ones and 7 small ones and I was like... nice : )))))

I bought the Woohyun slogan from Honeytree! She asked me if I was an exchange student or an immigrant (the latter). From Honeytree, I got a photoset pack, fan, and slogan as well for $20. The photoset pack only had 3 bigger ones and 5 smaller ones and I was a lil sad but whatever it's better than nothing >: )

The black "Thank you for being INFINITE" banner was for their encore song "Come Back Again". (Free)

The white "Always with Infinite" banner was for their finale song "With". (Free)

I also got 2 buttons (!) and this photocard.

It's in my wallet along with one of the Woohyun photo cards now :'))

A n y w a y s! The organizers since they were based in Mexico, not Canada, and the merch got stuck at customs. So no merch (besides the ones that fanmasters sold). Wow.

I finally entered the theatre at 7:20ish (my friend came so late...) and I gave her her banners and we sat down to enjoy the show!

The music videos they played made me cry because they played ToHeart's Delicious, Sunggyu's Kontrol, Infinite H's Pretty, Infinite F's Heartbeat, Back, The Chaser, Destiny... I was scared my voice was going to go out before the concert had even started lmao

Then the lights dimmed... and I started screaming... it was great...
