Nicknames: Ice Cream Monster- The band calls her this because she literally hordes gallons of ice cream and will murder those who touch it without permission (And the basics: Soojinnie, Jinnie, Jin). Her older brother (And her older brother only) can call her Pumpkin. It's been their thing since they were younger.

height + weight: 170 cm +54 kg
dress  style:
Usually, Soojin is wearing makeup, no matter where she is. Since she hates her scar, she feels the need to cover it up, but her makeup is never too heavy- She still likes to keep it natural. Soojin is pretty open to wearing most clothing, especially if it's wine red because she looks ing fabulous in it (As she says all the time), but keep animal prints out of her sight. Animal print is the one thing that she will never wear, even if she, like, gets fired for it. Soojin's top fashion idol is Naeun of Apink. Do you see that cute sleepy style?! And, jeez, don't even get her started on the leather. And can we please talk about this gorgeous simplicity- That beanie! This can all be easily found in Soojin's closet, and more. Even still, she never actually goes shopping, she just lets her family and friends do it for her.

physical appearance/body description: She has a scar on the right side of her neck from  childhood incident (Will be explain further later). It's roughly half an inch long near her ear, which she usually covers with her hair. She's quite self-concious about it, but she tries to ignore that. She- Mostly unwillingly- Got double eyelid surgery when she was an SM trainee, when they promised her she'd debut if she did. Funnily enough that they kicked her out only a few days after she was all healed. Her hair is currently her favorite style- Short, thick, fluffed, and orange/red. She's repeatedly redying it to keep it that way.

on the stage

stage persona —  The Superstar

stage personality — The reason she's known as "The Superstar" is beause this girl is absolute a joy on stage. She's talented as hell, pretty, and completely personable with the fans. She's talented in many things, and is known as the triple-threat, not to mention her variety is great. She can take on any concept with her adaptability, and seems like she could be the new face. Soojin is absoluetly cheerful and charming on stage, bringing a certain unique quality to the group, as her charisma is enrapturing and inviting in a way no one else's is. She's perfect at playing idol, and is the group's skinship queen. She can completely hide her lack of confidence in herself, and there are few fans who can see the slight wobble in her smile, the dampness in her voice when she talks about herself. Those few try to spread the word, to give her support, but the other fans hate them for "trying to make her feel bad about herself."

talent points

— singing :: 9 /10
— rapping : 7 /10
— acting :: 3 /10
— dancing :: 8 /10
— variety :: 6 /10
— mc-ing :: 2 /10

strengths + weaknesses — Her biggest strength? Singing. She's absolutely great at it. She's great at breath control, which is why she can sing, dance, and rap. She definitely goes for higher notes, and lower notes aren't exactly her favorite, but she can definitely do them on a higher level than normal vocalists.Her MC-ing , though, and her acting isn't so lovely either (Though it's not too bad), but her variety tries to make up for it. She's great at bringing attention towards herself, and is very charismatic, as previously mentioned. What she really at is pretending to like the few people she doesn't. That's the bigges tpart that she has trouble with when being an idol and not Lee Soojin.

trainee years + previous companies — One year (SM), three years (Jellyfish)

audition + trainee experience — Lee Soojin was accepted into SM purely due to a private audition set up by her older brother, Jinki. She was very nervous, but totally ready. Jinki wasn't so sure he was doing the right thing, but he knew that Soojin would never get a chance otherwise. She had no confidence to actually go through normal auditions, so he called in favors and made some promises. Soojin had her audition, and totally aced it. She showed off all of her skills- Her best at the time being dancing, and she got in. Unfortunately, getting in basically screwed her over for life. She had no sense of respect for authority figures and was always in trouble. She was creating a bad name for Jinki in the company, but she knew she had to be prepared to do anything to get to debut. She realized that rebelling likely wasn't the best way, and thus instantly put down her bad feeling when they assured her she'd debut if she got double eyelid surgery. Her brother highly advised against it, and her parents weren't too happy either- She was so young- But understood that she wouldn't let it drop. Thus she got the surgery.

Imagine her shock, when just over a year after putting up with the y trainees, overly-demanding teachers, and hetic life, that her promiscuity rumors suddenly showed up as she started to heal, and that as soon as the swelling down and she was looking good that SM dropped her. Soojin wanted to sue, so badly, to get her money back and an apology, but knowing that it would up her brother's career, she suffered silently. This silent suffering, this lack of communication and this sitting in a deep dark place and eating more than she could handle and puking it back up after absolutely ruined her. She was sent to a mental hospital after Jinki insisted. Soon after leaving the hospital, Soojin still felt her failures pile up on her as she got back into the habits she had since she was thirteen. She was shocked and pleased when Jellyfish Entertainment scouted her. It was the best moment of her life.

"I can do what I love again. I don't have to be a failure. JiJi won't be disappointed anymore." These were her thoughts as she accepted the card. She had been scouted on account of singing at an electronics store while her father was buying new applicances. She was so excited to call her brother, to tell him th good news (He was in another country at the time). Jinki definitely covered up his fear at the moment, because he was scared for her, and only let his happiness shine through. As soon as Soojin started to train in Jellyfish, though, there were few people that she actually got along with. Many people gosspied about her, and talked about her surgery, but Soojin did what she could to hold all of the anger and refrained from punching people in the face, because they were so annoying. Her teachers only appreciated her talent, not her attitude, but she managed to make one particularly okay friend- Jo Hwayeon. They got along pretty well, and were ecstatic upon hearing they'd debut together. They already knew of each other's issues and bad habits, and accepted each other for who they were.

God, after PHOENIX's disbandment, and because of Hwayeon, it was took much to bear for Soojin. Her psychiatrist immediately upped her dosage of her antidepressants, as she was falling into that slump again. Jinki felt awful the whjole time her band fell apart, listening to her scream and cry and throwing things and breaking things as it all went downhill. He felt a sort of responsibility for his sister, as most older brothers do, especially since he was already a pro in the entertainment industry. Soojin fell back into the trainee life, and this time she didn't even bother getting angry about the harsh words and gossip from the other trainees- Soojin simply would find a place to lock herself in and cry. She did what she could to be strong. Her antidepressants were put on an even higher dosage for the second time since PHOENIX's disbandment.

things she'd like to keep secret — Her older brother is SHINee's "Onew." She does not want anyone to find out, because then her very first audition could be revealed, that she'd gotten into SM purely because of her older brother. Soojin's forever grateful to him, for so many reasons, but if someone were to find out...She can only pray that this will come out when the time is right. She wouldn't make it if she were to be hated for such a thing.

Soojin is a former mental hospital patient. She was treated for major depression and bulimia even before she debuted with PHOENIX, after she was kicked out of SM. She felt as though she failed her brother for doing the kinds of things she did, as though she betrayed his trust and put his efforts to get her the spotlight she wanted so desperately to waste. She was released after a few months with anti-depressants, and hasn't engaged in any eating-disorder behaviors since, as almost immediately after she left, Soojin was scouted by Jellyfish. She's still taking antidepressants to this day, and her dosage increased after PHOENIX's disbandment.

She used to sleep around. A lot. And still kind of does. Soojin lost her ity at thirteen due to peer pressure, and has had a high interest in since. She's getting routine checks for STD's- Not that anyone she's slept with has and STD, she just wants to be as safe as she can while having the stupidly large amount of she is. If someone were to find this out, it would kill her. It's awful enough that that her brother found out- She doesn't want to see that kind of disappointment ever again.

goals — To debut- So her brother doesn't have to be sad and disappointed anymore. She absolutely hates the way her brother sounds and looks when he finds out about her latest screw-up. And she hates how he secretly pities her for not debuting yet. The pity is all in Soojin's head, in fact he's somewhat grateful because he's certain she'll crumble under everything, but she thinks he feels bad for her, that she's not as talented as him. She has to debut.

level of education — High school graduate (Sehwa Girl's High School, wants to go to college next year in human services)

feelings towards the hwayeon scandal and the aftermath — Oh. My. God. She immediately burst into tears upon hearing Hwayeon had been caught. She begged the CEO, she begged to keep Hwayeon and just let her scandal blow over. Her heart was broken from that night forward. She really thought that everything was over, that she wouldn't make it because that was her dream, that was her life and her friend and it was all ruined. Soojin couldn't handle everything that was going on, and her depressioned worsened. She felt betrayed by Hwayeon, because she swore she wouldn't get caught. She was offended and sad and angry and upset and embarasssed, and just everything you could possibly feel in that time. Soojin was embarassed because she had to have been the problem. It was obviously her fault that Hwayeon had gotten caught. And she was embarassed because of her feling of betrayal- Soojin had huge feelings of lust and towards Hwayeon, admiration and something she had been able to trick herself was love. This girl couldn't handle that Hwayeon had used her for personal gain instead of what she thought was a mutual crush. She felt as though she had failed everything yet again.

personailty keywords

POSITIVE » Humorous, excitable, ambitious, passionate, adaptable, imaginative
NEUTRAL » Eccentric, flirty, unpredictable, emotional
NEGATIVE » Inappropriate, disrespectful, irresponsible, unconfident, untrustworthy, critical

fatal flaw —  She's too disrespectful, she's too unconfident and critical. Soojin doesn't see a problem with disprespecting authority, which can get her into major trouble, and has in the past. She has little self-confidence despite her skills and mostly-favorable personality. She's unbelievably critical of others and herself, and this can only cause problems instead of help like she intends. These are the things that will ruin her.

personality —

Kim Soojin is a very excitable person. Every little thing excites her to no end- Going out to eat, meeing new people, anything and everything makes her happy and squeal-ly. On reality shows she's absolutely charming to everyone when they see how excited she gets. Soojin is humorous, and her sense of humor expands to everyone- Dry, sarcastic humor, dumb puns, math and science jokes- Basically everything and anything. Soojin seriously can make anyone laugh with little trouble- She's just that kind of person. She is also quite passionate- Soojin doesn't give up her dreams for anything, and will do everything she can to make them come true. When she talks about singing and dancing, you know that it's something she really cares about because of the light in her eyes and the strength in her voice.

It's quite a different experience when she's talking about being and idol. And it's not just that- She's passionate about school, her friends, love, etc. Soojin's passions also make her very ambitious. If her brother is an idol, can't she be an even better one? She wants to improve her skills and top the rest of the group, she wants to finish college with a 4.0 GPA or higher, she wants to become a household name- And Soojin will do anything to achieve these dreams. She's imaginative of where she can be in ten years time, and constantly thinks of the future. This girl can dream herself up in anything, and then gets there. Her imagination is her greatest tool, as her grandmother always told her- That, and her ability to adapt to any situation. Soojin can change her attitude, expression, tone of voice, whatever in a split second to make herself fit whatever situation it is that she's in. She can conform her personality to whatever it needs to be.

This girl is quite flirty. It's a natural thing, skinship and suggestive lines. She's known to be the most social with her fans in Aeon, because she has no problem holding their hands, kissing them on the cheek, having half-an-hour long conversations full of sweet, cute lines that can make any guy or girl (And anything in between) swoon. It's a natual ability that many people are jealous of. Soojin is quite eccentric, which tends to weird people out. She has quite off behavior, like practicing dancing at three in the morning, or only eating ice cream if it has strawberry sauce on the side (Not on it- In a little container or bowl that she can sip out of before she /takes a bite out of the ice cream)). She's interested in weird things like elephant reproduction ((Please excuse these weird things)) and how ants make their colonies. Soojin is quite unconventional, which makes her all the more fun.

Soojin is highly unpredictable. You never know if she'll like pasta one day but not the next, or has absolutely random moodswings- Like on the morning she was told she's debuting with Melody, she was totally happy and excited but then a few hours later she was going to kill whoever spoke to her. But Soojin can also have the craziest, most fun ideas ever. It's quite interesting, this unpredictability. She's often referred to as a "Wildcard" because you never know what you'll get- So be prepared for a lot of emotions. This girl cries at everything, seriously. Soojin can't help it, it's just so natural for her. Soojin can easily change her mood depending on one little thing, so she can get a bit troublesome in that aspect. Still, her emotional self is found to be quite endearing to many.

Soojin tends to be a very critical person. She critcizes whatever she sees, no matter who or what it is. She's not afraid to tell people, either. She points out every single flaw, there's no exceptions- Even when it comes to her higher-ups. Soojin is completely disrespectful and had no thought for authority- She only acts nice in public. This girl is absolutely awful when it comes to repecting people, and adamantly continues her unacceptable behavior- It's a wonder she hasn't been kicked out of school or the company yet. She's very innapropriate, in more ways that one. She makes jokes at the exact wrong times, and it totally erted all the time- She's always making really ual jokes, and it's not rare for her to one of her Unnies' for fun because they hate it.

She is very untrustworthy- She's not the type to keep secrets unless it's from the internet/netizens/that kind of thing. Soojin's never been a faithful girlfriend, and you simply can't expect any loyalty from this girl- And it's a direct result of Hwayeon's basic betrayal. After all, why would you be trustworthy when the person you trusted and loved most died on you? She knows it's bad, but she can't help it. Unfortunately, these flaws make Soojin really unconfident with herself- This girl thinks that she's really not that great, she's unconfident with her abilites, and Soojin is simply afraid she'll be the worst in every situation- After all, isn't her singing simply passable? She doesn't stand out and thus believes she doesn't deserve to believe in herself.

background Lee Soojin was born nineteen years ago to a loving, yet poor family, consisting of her mother, father, and older brother named Jinki. Jinki was seven years older than Soojin, yet they were unbelieveably close. Their family was poor, rarely having enough money to feed the whole family. Still, Soojin lived happily, her brother teaching her the ways of the world. When they were young, after school they would go to game shops and play the free games. It was embarassing yet fun. Her older brother took care of her like no other, giving her advice for life, to how to best eat pasta. They were super close, so close Jinki basically raised her compared to their parents. Their life was hard, yet wonderful. When she was seven, she got into a car accident and a piece of glass from the window cut her neck, which has now left a scar that she can't get rid of.

Soojin's interest in music started from an early age. Her brother was highly interested in singing, and this trickeld down to her as well. They were always holding their own little singing competitions, and by the time Jinki was chosen to debut, they were both tied at ninety-two and ninety-two. Soojin, much like her brother, did extremely well in school, in the top three scores most of the time. Soojin spent just as much time dedicated to school, dedicated to music as well. She really did love training despite all of the bullying, and was extremely pleased with her life. At age thirteen, she went to a classmate's birthday party. There was a lot of drinking and smoking and making out, and while playing a stupid game, she was dared to kiss a really attractive older guy from another school. Initially, Soojin refused, but after everyone insisted and the guy said he was up for it, she did.

It was hr first kiss what quickly turned into a heated makeout session, fuleed by the alcohol in her system. Things started to go a bit furhter, and all of her classmates were insisting that they go to a room upstairs. Nervously, she followed. Soojin wasn't quite so sure about this- Not at all, but when she recalled some feellow trainees who had been making fun of her, saying she was too ugly to ever have with someone, she threw all caution to the wind and gave in. On the same night she had her first kiss, and with the same person, thirteeen-year-old Soojin lost her ity to a seventeen-year-old guy from antoher school. She didn't get home until four in the morning, where Jinki was waiting for her. He yanked her to her room, and though he was initially angry when he smelled the alcohol and saw the effects, he kept his mouth shut and helped her change. When he saw the hickeys, he sat on her bed and cried.

Soojin was too drunk to really understand why he was crying at the time, but offered comfort through a hug, which made him cry harder. He put away his feelings for the time being and helped her shower and get clean, but all he could think was how much of a failure he was as a brother to her. Jinki slept next to her bed that night, which caused a lot of distress when they woke up. He had the week off, and their parents went to work by the time the siblings awoke. There were a lot of tears, a lot of apologies from both sides, but the conversation ended with a promise not to tell and a promise to wait from them on. But Soojin broke her promise only a few weeks later, and continued to break it. Rumors broke out within the trainees, as she was sleeping with some of the male trainees, and people at her school began to strat gossiping as well.

When Soojin was offered debut in return for plastic surgery, she was nervous and unsure but she took the chance anyway. It was a gamble she sorely lost. Soojin was kicked out just after healing, and she was absolutely depressed. She got her medication, ended up as a mental hospital patient, and simply continued on in life. Imagine her surrpise whe she was scouted by Jellyfish Entertainment as she sang on her way home from school. Her life began to look up, and things were okay. She debuted with PHOENIX and was the happiest person alive, she was sure. Jinki gave her a bracelet that she wears every day, even during performances, and it's now the thing she holds onto when everything falls out of her control.

family —

» Lee HANEUL | Father | 56 | Intelligent, adaptable, bad temper, cautious | meat shop owner | 3 | Haneul and Soojin aren't entirely close, but they definitely aren't total strangers either. Haneul was always working when Soojin was a growing up, so they never really got to know each other back then. The first time they really had a serious conversation was when Soojin said she wanted to get plastic surgery so she could debut. He hated the thought of this- That his baby girl even wanted to be an idol, because he knew how hard Jinki had it. But he saw the determination in her eyes, and allowed it. He did have a feeling of regret and "I told you so" when she was kicked out, and felt extremely sad for his little girl who fell apart. Their relationship could defiinitely use some fixing up, as Soojin feels a bit angry with Haneul for never being there, even though she knew why.

» Lee Jinmi | Mother | 54 | Cheerful, kind, distant, quiet | meat shop owner | 3.5 | Jinmi and Soojin are definitely closer that Soojin is with Haneul. Even though Jinmi was busy, she made sure to be a mother to her two children. She helped them with homework, taught them hwo to act in public (Even if Soojin doesn't take this to heart nowadays), what's right and wrong, to follow your heart- She raised wonderful, loving children. She was shocked when Soojin requested permission for plastic surgery- She was completely against it, but when Haneul made her see that Soojin was dead-set on it, she agreed. Unfortunately after Soojin was kicked out, this caused a rift in her marriage that's still desperately trying to be repaired. Soojin feels like this is her fault, and hides her true feeling from her mother. Jinmi doesn't blame her in the slightest.

» Lee Jinki | Older Brother | 26 | Warm, gentle, busy, protective | Idol (Onew- Leader, lead vocalist of SHINee) | 5 | God, Jinki is the best thing that Soojin has ever gotten the fortune of being near. He is Soojin's rock, her absolute best friend in the whole world, and the only person who truly understands her for wiho she is. Jinki knows the darkest corners of his baby sister, whether he wants to or not, and accepts her at face value- he doesn't try to ignore her negatives, and instead embraces them. Soojin loves Jinki more than anything and wouldn't be alive without him, truly. She shares everything with him and relies on him completely. Every morning she wakes to this text: "Good morning, my precious Soojin-ah. Saranghe, Pumpkin." It's what she holds on to. Jinki and Soojin have an indescribable bond. It's amazing, how one look can become a whole conversation, how one touch can communicate a whole range of emotions.

friends —

» Kim Youra | Best friend + Member of the Three Musketeers + The Honey in the Peanut Butter, Honey, Banana Sandwich | 19 | Open-minded, maternal, accident-prone | College student | 4 | Youra and Soojin are totally close. They can share everything (Even thoguh they don't) and really share a lot of interests. Youra doesn't judge Soojin for her plastic surgery, her bad habits, her medication- She just loves Soojin for who she is and that's the best thing for Soojin. (FC: Yerin of GFriend)

| Youra and Dohyun were the best of friend in elementary school, and in middle school they were all-too-happy to add another person into their friendship, making it a circle, which had been Youra's dream for forever. They were all in the sam emiddle school class first year, and nothing particularly special happened except that Soojin had the corner seat near the window, Youra the seat right in front of her, and Dohyun the one next to her. They were grouped a lot for group projects and became the best of  friends. |

» Kim Dohyun | Best friend + Member of the Three Musketeers + The Peanut Butter in the Peanut Butter, Honey, Banana Sandwich | 19 | Humorous, loyal, self-centered | Waiter | 4 | See above | Dohyun is the one who keeps Youra and Soojin together. Dohyun shares an interest in music with Soojin, unlike Youra, but they all love to just be together. Dohyun loves to make Soojin smile, and though he doesn't like her choices he appreciates her more than anything. (FC: Jun of U-Kiss)

your not so happily ever after

love interest 1 + personality —  Kim Kibum (Key, SHINee)

(+) Social, supportive, gentle (=) Trusting (-) Sensitive, worrier, insecure

how they met + relationship/interactions — Kibum and Soojin met at Jinki's third birthday as a SHINee member- They held a party with family and Jinki' friends, which had basically been limited to SHINee members. Kibum had no choice but to arrive early, and when he did, Soojin was the only one at home. She was a bit apprehensive, as she was certain Jinki had spilled all of her secrets and bad points to his band members, she was certain he knew of her getting kicked out of SM (As many SM artists did), and her eyes were obviously not natural. But Kibum was nothing but a totally polite, totally cool guy. They got along pretty well, but they didn't really speak after Jinki arrived. It wasn't until Jinki's neck injury in 2013 that she truly spoke to Kibum again. At that time, she demanded the phone numbers of all of SHINee, their managers, and stylists/other people in case he ever got hurt agin. Ever since, they've gotten a lot close. Soojin texts Kibum as often as she can, and they're always dicussing fashion and what color to dye their hair next, the newest KPOP songs, etc. They're totally comfortable, Soojin calling Kibum Oppa and constant playful banter.

Text Convo Sample:

Kibummie Oppa, do you love meeee~?

Probably not. Why?

Well, like, there's this move JiJi won't buy me because he's cheap!

If Jinki won't buy it for you, there's a reason.

Not a good one.

I don't know, Boo. What movie?

Just some o.

SOOJIN.

NO.

I'm jokiiiiing!

No you're not.

Damn.

love interest two — Lee Taemin (SHINee)

(+) Kind, adaptable, humorous (=) Stubborn (-) Stressed, busy, easily annoyed

how they met + relationship/interactions — They met similar to Kibum and Soojin did- At Jinki's third birthday as a SHINee member. She and Taemin got along better than her and Kibum, because of their somewhat-closer ages and interests. They had a pretty good time together and kept in contact on and off from then on until recently. Nowadays, they basically text whenever Taemin has freetime, since he's super busy ith his solo comeback preparations and the Japan tour, etc. They're even more comfortable than Soojin and Kibum, and don't hesitate to roll around all over each other, change in front of each other, tell each othre the wierdest things about themselves- Most people owuld be preee-tty uncomfortable with the they share. Soojin tends to become very cute around her "Minnie Oppa," and it's probably really a sickeningly sweet relationship. It's adorable to watch them together.

Text Convo Sample:

Minnie Oppa? You haven't answered me in, like, ten hours what the hell. T_T

Minnie Oppa.

MINNIE OPPA.

LEE TAEMIN GET YOUR IN THIS TEXT MESSAGE RIGHT NOW.

(Taemin's too busy to answer her and she gets depressed. XD)

love story — After Taemin's solo, he and Soojin become much closer again. It ends up kind of like an unknowing battle between Taemin and Kibum- They both know there's another guy in Soojin's life, but they have no idea who. Not long after Soojin's second debut, she starts to sleep with the both of them, though Taemin more than Kibum as Kibum tries to exercise self-restraint unlike Taemin who accepts her behavior and goes with it blindly, not thinking of the consequences.

backup love interests — Kim Jonghyun (SHINee), Son Naeun (Apink), Kim Yeojin (OC)

who do you want your character to end up with? — Welp. Uhm. I'd like to see the relationships develop and then choose if you don't mind.

other — Her only reservations about dating is, well, that means she has to stop sleeping with other people. She's not sure she's ready to give up her worst habit just yet.
