BACKGROUND 

>> I WAS BORN IN A VERY UNSUITABLE SITUATION

yura was born very awkwardly at somebody else's wedding. her mother being the stubborn person that she is,  said that the baby wouldn't at least be born until it's already the end of july but she was proven wrong when she was suddenly having contractions. her father called an ambulance after a few minutes of panicking while yoohyeok was running around shouting my brother's coming. just imagine the shock he got when he knew it was actually a sister. he was quite disappointed by the baby sister but in the end he became too attached to her.

growing up was quite something that she dreaded but she kind of love it too. her father is a famous former football player for the korean national team. her mother is a respected dance instructor and her brother is well... he's the well known dance prodigy. her father and her brother are both very protective of this not-so-little maknae of theirs, so it's quite hard to say which one is more protective of yura. her mother is the normal one out of the bunch and she is very supportive of yura's career choice.

yura is very struggling when it comes to love. her brother keeps on tampering her love life in one way or another whether it's intentional or not. he used to go around the school with her and kept saying that guys are stupid except himself. he said he wants yura to get married after he himself got married and have 10 kids. there was once a time where there's actually a weakness in her brother's obsessiveness of her and yura got to date one guy who ended up beaten like an egg in a bowl by her brother because he cheated on yura. well, she doesn't really mind about that.

she loves being a dancer. she loves the way her body moves with the rythm just like her mom. she's always lost in music. she feels like all of the knots of insecurity in her are all untied and every part of her feel the sadness, the joy, the expression of every notes. she always feels like nobody is judging her. and that is why this is the perfect career for her.

being quirky to yura means being special. it's kind of like a habit, you see. she loves being that person who doesn't follow rules much because being weird is just her own signature. she's very outgoing and she hates being lonely so being friendly is the only way to go for this female alien species. yura loves sports and adventure and everybody knew that it came from her father genes. she's that one scary adventurous kid that seems like she's going to die trying something extreme. she is the kind of girl that gives a hard look at everything and came up with fresh new ideas in her mind on how to improve it. she's as creative as everybody say she is.

she can be a hellish she-devil when provoked so try not to bring up that revengeful side of her. she is very much a prank queen nowadays so stay clear out of her way. she's very self-critical of herself. there's always something about her that she's insecure about. in a very scary way, yura is a very unexpected kid. she can be nice and throw sunshine and rainbow at you for a second but she could throw an anvil at you in a flash. so better watch out for this nightmare dressed as a daydream. she always thinks that she's a self centered person when she never even cared about herself that much. she thought that she's a selfish person when all she wanted to do was make everybody happy. being selfless is just a way out of her non-existent guilt.

kang joohyuk is probably the most overprotective dad ever. being the former no.1 defence player for korean national football team really might help him with his daughter who demands freedom. he doesn't like the idea of his one and only daughter to leave him. so he tries his best at being an overbearing dad. he's the best at showing off his kids to other people which always embarass both yura and yoohyeok.

▪  THE SUPER MOM KIND OF MOTHER • HA YERIM / 47 / DANCE INSTRUCTOR

she is the sweetest, most normal person ever in the family. nobody gets yura like her own mother. whenever she got a problem, yura always went to her mother and hug her tightly. she's kind of really clingy towards her mother because she seems to be normal enough to be clingy with. yura's mom always support her kids 100% of the time because she knows how it was like to actually be someone who was not given choices about what she will do.

kang. yoo. hyeok. is there any other name that can annoy yura just by saying it? i guess not. he's the craziest, most stalking brother ever. it always seems to yura that her brother's purpose is to actually annoy her. and yura thinks that her brother doesn't have any personal life or even any sense of privacy at all. he killed almost every chance yura have of having a boyfriend. and it effin .

this samchun might be the coolest in korea. he loves hanging out with yura because he can brag about it later to other people. he's just like his brother-in-law. plus, yura always help him with deurim when he's extremely tired and he have watch her grow up so he kind of pick himself as a father to yura. yura also always help him get away with some stuff with his wife too at times.

yura loves her imo sooo very much.  why? other than she idolises her relationship with her samchun who has the brain of a five year old, she just simply respects her as a singer herself. she is a very talented person and it's undeniable that yura dream of having a collaboration with her imo. she could die out of happiness after that.

this is her one and only nephew that she dotes so much on. he's very cute and very lovable and she loves playing with deurim. deurim's first word was yuya which is her name. she almost jumped through the ceiling out of happiness. she always said that deurim is her spirit animal.

the day they met was probably a dreaded day for suho (we don't know that though). they met at starbucks where suho was at the counter ordering his favourite beverage. and that is when yura took the chance to be friendly with suho. she greeted him by creeping to his back and shocking him with a traditional finger to the cheek prank. she called him sunbae oppa and of course he fell for it. suho find it amusing that he got to meet a perfectly friendly alien on a very great day and so in the end he ended up treating her to whatever she wants in starbucks. he really wanted to treat her so he ended up suggesting that they play for it and he intentionally lose. but in the end, he got her number nonetheless.

▪ THE NEIGHBOURHOOD PABO • JACKSON WANG / 21 / LEAD RAPPER OF GOT7

they both met through yeonji who happily stated that this guy is very nice but all that yura can see is a pile of meat who literally made a pabo out of himself on their first meeting. he literally made a quite cute first impression to yura and they ended up being friends. jackson always asked for help from yura for dancing tip but they'll end up chilling instead. he keeps being that neighbourhood pabo that she knew so well ever since yeonji kind of 'pushed' her oppa to be friends with yura.

▪ MY GUARDIAN ANGEL  • KIM YEONJI / 18 / SINGER

she is that cute friend of yura but it's always yura who keeps acting like a kid to her which mostly annoy yeonji because she have to take care of yura the alien who can never be normal. so, yeonji always ended up being her protective bodyguard. these two have a time when they're kind of one headed but sometimes they become that old married couple who couldn't stop arguing about stuff but in the end chills together drinking pearl milk tea. she really doesn't like it when yeonji becomes that competitive person because it's embarassing to yura. "STOP EMBARASSING YOURSELF. YEON. I'M THE ONLY ONE WHO'S ALLOWED TO EMBARASS MYSELF IN PUBLIC." yup, yura will totally make her embarassing self into a joke just trying to stop yeonji but will it work? i don't think so.

▪ LAZY GRANDPA POTATO • MIN YOONGI / 22 / RAPPER OF BTS

this guy must've been possessed by a ghost of a grandpa. he keeps sleeping whenever there's a chance and moving is not his favourite thing to do. let's just say at times yura can be lazy too just by watching him and yoongi will ended up becoming a human pillow for yura since he's such a teddy bear to yura. these two are well known to look like a couple and they always walk around joking, calling each other sweet names. seriously these two needs to get a beating from anybody since they can't seem to be helped at all.

▪ "I'M YOUR NO.1 FAN" • JO INSUNG / 34 / ACTOR

jo insung had once admitted that he is an ahjussi fan of yura because she seems sweet and pretty. he said that he is yura's no.1 fan and that he wished that he can act with her one day. yura actually like jo insung since forever and she literally shrieked at the top of her lungs with yeonji when it's okay, it's love aired. she has seriously fallen in love with him ever since and hearing him say that he's her no.1 fan is almost similar as her hearing she had won a lifetime supply of mac and cheese. she was over the moon and yeonji was crying when she heard jo insung said that. yeonji literally saved the video and keeps watching it for the whole week and brag to the whole world that her friend might have a super hot boyfriend. 

▪ HE'S LIKE MY SECOND FATHER • PARK JINYOUNG / 44 / CEO OF JYP ENTERTAINMENT

park jinyoung and kang yura. are they father and daughter? is she his long lost daughter? everybody keeps asking questions and jyp just admitted that yura is his daughter jokingly. he is very known to be very caring and that is not an exception to yura. yura respects him a lot and she always look up to him either as a sunbae in music industry or even as someone that knew how to give to people.

god, that sass bag of a guy always knew how to piss me off at times. i don't know how yeonji actually put up with him. /shook her head while rolling her eyes/  but actually on certain occasion, i've seen him with yeonji and i kind of approve him. and that is saying a lot about my permission for him to date my twin. goo junpyo, you better take care of my little sister or i'll cut your balls.

HOW DO YOU FEEL LIVING NEXT TO THEM?
it would be a great thing, i guess. i can keep an eye on my twin and that sass-quatch. he keeps making me wonder how yeonji fell in love with him in the first place. anywho, i know what i'll be doing. messing goo junpyo's life if he keeps disturbing me with his unwelcomed sass. and i know it's not going to be a problem to me. /laughing evilly/

WHAT MAKES YOU WANT TO JOIN SBS CELEBRITY NEXT DOOR?
i knew this program from appa-nim and he totally recommended it to me. he said that i should do it. why do i want to join this program? /caressing her chin/ probably because i want to experience something that i couldn't do any other day? plus, if i didn't join i would never have another person that i can call ex. i'm trying to make a list , you know.

AND WHO IS THIS SPECIAL SOMEONE?

HISTORY  
 — WHEN I FIRST MEET YOU // yura first saw hanbin when yura went to ikon's fanmeeting with yeonji who insisted that she meet ikon. yura kind of helps junhoe by saying that he has to do fan service and tries to calm yeonji down .when everybody was gone and ikon was going to go back to yg, yeonji stopped them while dragging yura with her. her arm almost fall off at that time but she knew yeonji will brought her to the hospital if that ever happen (right?). at that time yura and hanbin didn't say anything to each other because yura's too busy with arguing with goo junhoe which resulted in the first time goo junhoe ever loses in an argument. he didn't know it's going to continue like that. hanbin kind of like it that somebody was able to finally shut the sass bag up and there's when he started getting interested in knowing yura more.

— I WANT TO KNOW WHO YOU REALLY ARE // they first talked with each other on the show since yeonji only kept making yura meet with her sassy boyfriend without his friends. so things got awkward for a while until yura suggested that they searched for each other's profile on the internet. he found out about yura's habit of sleepwalking and sleeptalking when she's extremely tired and he thinks it's cute and yura was still in doubt about the fact that hanbin has never dated.

 

YURA: why you lyin? why you always lyin? mmm... oh my god. why you always lyin?
HANBIN: i'm not lying. i don't really focus on my relationship. do you really sleepwalk and sleeptalk when you're tired?
YURA: well, people does say that a lot. even my unniedeul but i don't know. it's not like i can see myself sleepwalk and hear myself sleeptalk. so, i don't really know.
HANBIN: well then, from now on i'll be sleeping after i've secure the environment. just in case. i don't want you to hurt yourself. i'll make sure i'll follow you wherever you go when you sleepwalk and hear everything you've got to say when you sleeptalk.
YURA: i still can't believe you've never had a girlfriend when you're this sweet and nice. girls be blind these days.

and since that, nobody knew what their status is. they said they're friends but they literally act like a couple and when they were asked about it, they just smile while looking into each other's eyes. what the hell are they actually?

relationship 
— I'M NOT REALLY THAT NORMAL // yura will always be yura no matter who she's with. even if she's with the queen of england i doubt it that she'll act normal. but no matter how weird yura can get, hanbin seems to like it. he said that he enjoys watching at least one girl being more extraordinary than the other. he likes it that she seems to not care about what people think of her weirdness.

— WE DENY STUFF BUT WE KEEP GETTING BACK TO EACH OTHER // they can never admit that they kind of have that spark going on with each other. people say they're in a 'some' relationship and they knew that they were right but they can't admit to that. both are too afraid of what people around them would think. whenever they're apart, they keep calling and texting and skyping each other and everybody is in serious doubt that they're not an item. and to be honest people are right to doubt this two. everything about the two of them clearly indicates that they are in a somewhat confusing relationship. just look at their text.

HANBIN: jagiya!!! what are you doing right now? i miss you
YURA: oh, yeobo. i miss you too. //sobs// where are you?
HANBIN: i'm with the guys and i really need you right now. junhoe is scaring me. he can't stop talking
YURA: call yeonji. she might be able to help you
HANBIN: but i want you
YURA: i'll see you later, okay. i'm with bts right now and they are literally clinging onto me.
HANBIN: why do you have to be with them, jagi? 
YURA: sorry yeobo. i can't stop being their friends and you know that. we'll talk about this later, kay?
HANBIN: okay. i really miss you
YURA: i miss you too, yeobo

— I DON'T THINK I LIKE BEING WITHOUT YOU // they can't deny the attraction but they can't admit it either so they just leave it at it and goes on. whenever they're far away, they will google each other and see each other's video on youtube and skype each other if they miss each other too much. they're love sick puppies that only needed each other for a cure but too bad both are too stubborn to admit so that is where the we're-very-close-but-not-a-couple-kind-of-close attitude came from.

 

CONCLUSION 
— IS IT OVER? // before the show ended, they went to the beach together at night for a picnic. yura knew she have to ask hanbin about what he thought about them before this thing officially ended. so, she asked him while walking on the beach barefooted while holding hands with him.

YURA: oppa. i've been dying to ask you but i was so afraid to even say a word about it.
HANBIN: what is it? why is your hand so cold.
YURA: oppa, what do you think of me? do you like me?
HANBIN: why are you asking weird things to me? it's not that i'm not used to it but this is too weird even for you.
YURA: oppa... seriously.
HANBIN: okay, okay. you are like a... sister to me. and... umm... of course i like you. who could possibly resist such an adorable alien?
YURA: yeah, of course you like me. like a sister. /went home alone, change her clothes and sleeps immediately/

yura was seriously upset by the fact that he said that and hanbin doesn't even know why he kept screwing up. so hanbin went home and wanted to apologise to her and tell her the truth but then when he saw that she's already asleep, he knew this is the final screw up that he might not be able to fix so he pulled an all nighter watching her sleep. when he finally dozed off hugging yura in his arms, the sun rose making yura woke up. 

yura cried on hanbin's chest for a while and went to make breakfast for him without waking him up. she showered and put on a fresh set of clothing and left after leaving a note on the coffee table in front of the tv.

— I GOT YOU ON MY MIND // after a week the show ended, yura and hanbin kept a distance between each other. their relationship grew loose and everybody noticed that too especially yeonji and junhoe. hanbin kept remembering he panicked when he can't feel yura in his arms that morning. he searched the whole house plus the garden and the backyard and she wasn't there until he notice the note. and since then, hanbin can't stop himself from seeing and hearing yura everywhere he goes. and surely junhoe was worried of the leader.

JUNHOE: why don't you just go and see her?
HANBIN: i've seen her a couple of hundred times but i can never bring myself to talk to her. i don't want to hurt her. she's all i have ever wanted and i don't want to lose my chance of ever seeing her again. if i screw up again, she's going to go much more far away from me and i don't want that, june.
JUNHOE: but look at you! you're a mess. stop torturing yourself. don't you know that everybody knew why you're like this? yeonji-ah, say something.
YEONJI: do you think you're the only one who's hurt? do you know how hard it is for her to receive so much hate from your fans? you know how fragile she is. she's a sensitive soul, kim hanbin and if you're not going to protect her, who will? do you want joonmyeon to do it? yoongi? her brother? you are so infuriating, i feel like turning you into a kebab!

— IS IT TOO LATE NOW TO SAY SORRY? // yura has been doing strenuous activity to drown herself from that day. she's been dancing with short time for breaks and it broke everybody's heart to see her like that. she doesn't listen to anybody and she basically didn't care. not even her favourite nephew can stop her long enough to rest. she only eats banana and drink vitamin water only. she even said no to mac and cheese. how absurd does that sound? it's like seeing fish drown in water. so in the end, yeonji and junhoe had to intervene.

yeonji and junhoe pushed hanbin to go to jyp building and meet yura there. he was reconsidering his action but then he thinks that he should do it without regret. when he saw yura was dancing herself off he began to worry. she looked pale and all he can see on the floor was bottles and bottles of vitamin water.

HANBIN: yura-yah, we need to talk.
YURA: ...
HANBIN: yura-yah. stop it, please?
YURA: ...
HANBIN: kang yura!
YURA: what? what do you want?
HANBIN: /hugs her tightly/ i'm sorry. i'm so sorry.
YURA: /crying softly/ i hate you. i hate you, kim hanbin. i just hate you.
HANBIN: i know, babe. i know. i love you. so much. and i'm sorry i hurt you.
YURA: ...
HANBIN: yura-yah. yura-yah? why aren't you saying anything?

yura didn't say anthing because she passed out from the exhaustion. so she was rushed to the hospital with hanbin who was panicking beyond compare and yeonji and junhoe was going too with their car. when she was put into a room, hanbin was the first one to see her. he cried to himself that day and yura pretends to sleep and watch hanbin cry. 

YURA: you look like a sad monkey when you cry.
