It Was SO Hard Not to Laugh

Before I get to my story let me explain, My parents don't know I like K-pop. I kinda kept it a secret not because I was ashamed or anything, but because it would be SO awkward if they knew. Also the fact that I can't speak Chinese yet I'm listening to Korean music, which would no doubt spark a lecture of " why do you listen to Korean music when you don't know Chinese! Listen to Chinese music!" I already listen to Chinese music! You blast it in the frickin' car all the time and I have no choice! Now that that's all cleared up...

We were in our hotel room and my mom was watching some Chinese channel, I was paying no attention because I was watching a video on my iPad, until I heard a familiar "call me baby, call me baby". I shot up immediately from my bed and removed my earphones. My mom was watching EXO's call me baby, M version, how could I not laugh? I pursed my lips hard trying not to laugh, to make sure I didn't look suspicious, I asked as nonchalantly as I could, "what are you watching?". My mom just said "Korea". We continued watching the video, even though I already watched it about 50 times. The longer I watched, the more difficult it became for me not to laugh. I bit my lip, rolled my tongue, swallowed my spit, everything to not laugh.

Finally, I tore my eyes (it was very hard to since it was Lay's part in the second chorus) from the screen and continued watching my video. Thankfully the music video ended and something else replaced EXO.

Thank the gods I didn't laugh, it would have been SO awkward!
