attractive; song is exceptionally lucky to have stunning looks and his talking ability makes him shine brighter. he is fond to be called pretty and cute whenever he smiles, but as soon as he begins to rap, he turns witty. he has an odd sense of humour and usually laughs it off whenever someone's joke didn't turn out well. caring; he has a soft heart which was inherited from his mother. song cares a lot towards people around him and would do anything for them. he is a good listener and gives positive advices in a cheerful way. sometimes he would show in more openly, giving loving backhugs and asked if they were okay. optimistic; for song, he knows that he suffers from a lot of things and almost in a verge of dropping. instead, he takes it on the bright side, and his positive thoughts make anyone around him joyable and not losing hope. emotional; it's easy for song to cry whenever he's touched. even if he hears others' story life or watching any kinds of sad sappy movies or drama, he couldn't help spilling out his tears. sometimes he isn't strong enough and when he's stressed, he would try to hide his tears from anyone. mellow; song is pleasant to be with although he is a bit talkative. he is also easygoing and friendly around people regardless of age.

sarcastic; normally this happened when song is on a teasing mode. he would playfully mock the members' fail attempt and turned into a sassy rich korean ahjumma, giving sly remarks or imitate them. blunt; song's remarks can be dangerous at times. his mocks or tease are usually direct and can easily hurt a fly. if anyone tries to pick a fight with him, they would probably gave in after song makes a comeback. fiery; he is easily angered when someone is mostly rebellious, disorganized or arrogant. he would burst his bubble right on the spot and tries to attack them physically. it would sometimes come out as a tease on broadcast, but he is undoubtedly scary when he's angry. troublesome; at times, his nagging or talks could be annoying from others' perspective. he also acknowledged that he is too much of a umma.

song came in from a relatively normal family. his father is korean and works as a manager in a hotel while his mother is a australian lecturer and a part-time tour guide. he was born in seoul and receive normal education like other students, while he learned english from his mother. he and his parents skates and they regularly went to the ice skating rink. he only went back to perth, australia to visit his maternal grandparents twice a year. as a young child, song likes playing games, especially pokemon. his childhood turned out well until his father cheated behind his mother's back which caused them to divorce. having to deal with the situation in an young age conflicted his mind. his father eventually won the child custody and took care of song, and song could only see his mother on weekends. after turning 12, he gained a stepmother, the woman who made his father fell for. he has a strong hatred towards her and would make a scene everytime she shows up. his father somehow grew annoyed by the fact he was similar like his mother, and later sent him premanently to his mother.

ultimately, he wished to be a figure skating, but he stopped skating after his parents' divorce and began to dream after he found the taste of music of his own. out of all idols, he was a huge fan of super junior and epik high, spending his leisure time listening and (rap/sing)ing along with the played song. at the age of 14, he grew fond of making a music of his own and turned his room to his own personal studio after convincing his mother. he hung out with several friends with the same music tastes at hongdae in his free time. at first, song's mother opposed when he decided to be an idol, but seeing his desire and passion for rapping made her change her thoughts. a year later, he auditioned in several companies such as sm, yg, cube and stardom, but failed. around his teenager years, he attended in hanlim arts high school. he was good in academics and average in sports.

he was later scouted by dhg entertainment after graduated at age 19 and signed a contract with them right after he discovered about their background. he found out that they were searching for him after listening to his mixtapes uploaded at soundcloud. he attended to their academy and trained himself harder until his dream to perform on stage became true.
