I'm tired of netizens bringing up the past (rant)

There is nothing more annoying than seeing an upcoming group past bringing brought up to light as if they didn't mature out of it.

I got encouraged to talk about this because of Monsta X's Kihyun being put on blast for Smoking, drinking, and hitting girls in middle school. Although there are photos of the cigerette and drinking, there is no proof of violence against girls.

This isn't the only time that ing netizens bring up kpop idols pasts'. Honestly, it really pisses me off. Who cares what they did back then, all that matters now is that they matured. People are so quick to jump on the male idols who "hurt" girls.

Have none of yall never been picked on by a boy when you were younger? When did this generation become so ing butthurt or is it just the kpop fandom that thinks they know whats good for people they dont know?

People are pissed that these kpop idols smoke and drink. THESE ARE PEOPLE TOO. I ING SMOKE FOR CRYING OUT LOUD.

If you are one of the people who don't like drinking: You can cancel out 98% of every kpop idol.

If you are one of the people who don't like smoking and think its wrong: You better not watch or support anything that has to do with GD, TOP, PSY, KIM SOOHYUN, KIKWANG, TAEMIN (although I dunno if he still does), SEHUN AND TAO, YUNHO, LEE MINHO, Mickey/Yoochun, Heechul (although he gave it up) These boys all smoked at one point in their lives/ Still do.

It honestly pisses me off. People are so quick to bash these idols for doing BASIC HUMAN ACTIONS but then they go and hang out with their friends and do the same thing.

People also don't realize that curiousity sets in around teenage years. You best believe I tried a cig at 13. Its not uncommon.

And unless you are BORN AND RAISED in Korea to actually prove me wrong, don't argue with me.

And you're absolutely right about it being a normal teenage thing to be curious about things like smoking-I remember being like that (never smoked of course but any who) at that age same for drinking. It goes through most every young person's mind at some point in their lives.

Fans who bash them for smoking bother me as well: Yeah smoking may not be healthy...but come on. They shouldn't be treated like they're un-human or however it's said. And I get it that artists are in the spotlight blah, blah blah but guess what: They are not supposed to be role models or to teach others right from wrong like some people use as an excuse to hate on them.

It didn't bother me at all when I found out Yunho or some other DBSK members smoked, I find it amusing and somewhat disturbing when netizens freak out over every little thing their favorite artist does.

Smoking's not my thing personally but I'm not all up in someone's face hollering at them to quit. Wouldn't make me a better person by bringing him or her down like that.

I personally don't like/support smoking and only think smoking is wrong, health wise, but I don't give two craps about idols or anyone else smoking. Every other person does it and I'm sure as hell some of those people bashing them idols do too! Netizens will never come to realize that idols ARE HUMANS TOO! I've done underage drinking, I'm not proud of it, but that's just me. Teens now are days are smoking and drinking more than I would have imagined. Gosh, people are so...ugh.

Because in Korea, an idol is a public figure. Many people on them when stuff like this happens is because they have a mindset of "I never liked you but I have nothing to bash you for. Oh wait, you smoked when you were younger? Ewwwww this idol is such a disgrace" And also people tend to jump on the hate bandwagon when it comes to public figures, especially in Asia (noticebly China and South Korea - a Chinese celebrity named Chen He who has divorced his wife recently got bashed on so much by C-Nets because he divorced her. IT'S NON OF THESE PEOPLE'S BUSINESS AND YET THEY BASH ON HIM. However, it is said that Chen He dated his ex wife for years before marrying her but divorced because he met a newer, younger woman. BUT, that was just a rumour and yet people believed in it. What if Chen He divorced his wife because of conflicts in the marriage? We never know, and yet people still jumped on the bandwagon and bashed on him while they know nothing about their private lives.)
So basically, people on others because they 1) have too much time to waste 2) rude motherers and 3) they just have nothing to do with their lives. Usually when a scandal breaks, people will talk about it for days, weeks, or even years (depending on the scandal) and when it has been forgotten but the same celebrity got into another scandal, people will bring the past up again. It's just how it works there; it seems like they want to dig up their past and ruin their life forever.
