Last Friday, B1A4 finally stopped on their Adventure tour in Berlin – of course expected to be awesome, and the boys definitely didn’t disappoint. So here goes another concert review featuring my sister and I, huzzah.

Since we both had struggles with college/work we bought the tickets last minute (literally last minute, I met up with other fans in the line and bought the tickets from them lmao). It’s freezing in Berlin right now and since we were familiar with the venue (the same one BTS used last year) we decided to show up as late as possible and waited for like 15 minutes outside before we were already allowed to enter. Since coats, bags etc weren’t allowed inside we left them in the cloakroom which worked out just fine. The venue, Huxleys Neue Welt, is pretty nice inside, with lots of open space and even though we showed up as one of the last, we could get pretty close to the stage. I have no idea how many fans were insidel but probably as much as during the BTS concert last year, which was not a lot but not a small crowd either. On the screen on stage they showed a few warm up clips and played B1A4 hits in the background, so we were all pretty hyped when bam, the first beats of “In The Air” dropped – and B1A4 jumped on stage!

They were so energetic from the very beginning! Everyone looked extra fine in really nice stage outfits – not too glittery or anything, mostly casual with letter or leather jackets, white shirts and jeans – and they are so tall! I was really surprised by how tall they all seemed, especially C.NU and Gongchan. They started right with happy and bright “In The Air” which was super enjoyable and fun. They waved, smiled and made hearts and seemed completely comfortable on stage from second one. Afterwards, they continued right away with Solo Day, one of my all time favourite songs – it was really so much fun, and they were super energetic in this. Then, break – Baro said stuff like “Helllooooo” “What’s up Berlin” and everyone was all laughter and smiles and then they continued right away with “If” – awesome song, and live so so much better, likes it’s one of my all time favourites. Next was “Yesterday” and “Love Is Magic” which they both performed very energetically and cool – “Love Is Magic” was pure swag tbh, C.NU and Baro were in it to win it – C.NU slipped out of his jacket somewhere between the first songs because why not, showing them arms in nothing but a simple white tank top (it was seriously hard to focus on anyone else when he was close …). The choreo was pretty fun, though it seems like they’re not performing it very often – Baro seemed to be the only one that really knew how things worked and it was definitely fun to watch Gongchan glancing at him with a completely dumbfounded expression before quickly copying his moves lmao.

After Love is Magic we had a longer break – B1A4 said hello and everything, introducing themselves in extremely adorable German. There only so much one can go wrong with a simple “Ich bin Jinyoung” (I am Jinyoung) or classic “Ich liebe dich” (I love you), but they even went so far so say sweet little things like “Ich freue mich hier zu sein” (I’m happy to be here), “Danke, dass ihr da seid!” (Thank you for being here!). Gongchan completely messed up but didn’t get it, and it needed Sandeul – who nearly died from laughing – to explain to him just what exactly he was supposed to say and what he said instead (mispronunciation and grammar all over the place, super cute tbh). Together with a translator, they also told us all about how this is their first time in Germany, they love it a lot, fans are awesome and how they just came from Finland but Berlin is so much better (lmao are you serious guys). Then, they taught us the moves to the next song “What’s Happening” because let’s dance it together and all that. The dance is cute, definitely, but uuuuh. I didn’t see too much enthusiasm amongst the fans, since we were all busy screaming and shaking light sticks and everything, but we tried, promise.

The song was nothing but expected super fun. I was really starting to wonder how much energy B1A4 actually have because they were constantly jumping and running around but seems like it’s pretty much endless. Afterwards – “OK” which was my second B1A4 song so I love this song soooo much and they were incredibly in it, smiling super bright, waving, making hearts and on top dancing super energetically – Jinyoung was so hyped at some parts he was dancing a completely different choreography than the rest without noticing lmao. Then, they started “Pretty” completely fun – while C.NU got all ready for his intro rap, wiping his face quickly and getting Gongchan and Baro set as his personal background dancers, Jinyoung and Sandeul stayed in the front and played rock-paper-scissors. Jinyoung lost and Sandeul flicked his forehead, he was so happy about this lmao. Pretty started with C.NU slaying his rap extra hard – I love his rapping a lot actually, his flow is so relaxed and cool – and they were all like pointing at the fans, throwing hearts and everything, dancing really cutely too. Afterwards, Jinyoung took the mic and said quietly “This song is called Pretty – just like all of you are so pretty” and omg lol son. He was even embarrassed himself, turning away all flustered with a red face. Such a sweetheart. Then, a break again, everyone got water ready and the staff carried chairs on stage. They interacted with us, sprouting random German and “are you readdyyyy” and waved at fans – you just had to form a heart with your arms or call their names and they immediately waved and threw hearts back at you, so precious! For the next song, “Wait”, they sat down on the chairs all cool and relaxed and slayed this song thoroughly – it’s really such a nice song, and their vocals fitted perfectly and were all completely on point, just like for the next song, “Love Then”.

Then – break. B1A4 all quickly excited the stage, the chairs got removed, and a clip started playing on the screen for us. This was actually so much fun – B1A4 filmed some sort of short contest in which they were competing for places from 1 – 5. First, they had to smash tiles – Gongchan, C.NU and Sandeul all excelled like it was nothing, smashing 20 tiles in one go. Jinyoung meanwhile messed up and only managed 18, while Baro tried to get a certain number correct, 16, but managed to smash like 5 tiles in first try – everyone, B1A4 on screen and fans were laughing so hard. Second try, and wow, he really managed 16 – he raised the last 4 tiles in pure triumph, when suddenly one tile broke right in his hands, lmao. So both he and Jinyoung failed, but got points nevertheless. Next game – they had to correctly continue singing the lyrics to a song. Jinyoung and C.NU both no problem, meanwhile Baro slightly confused but managing, and then it went to Sandeul and Gongchan who kept on messing up over and over again. It was actually all sorts of hilarious, how Sandeul was like “yeah! I know it!” and was completely wrong lmao. In the end, both of them were last place while Jinyoung was first because of some sorts of weird point system. They got costumes assigned – place 5 apparently the worst, place 1 supposedly the best, and they were cringing all sorts when they looked up the pictures of the costumes, claiming 1 and 3 were actually the worst. Then, the clip ended – and B1A4 jumped back on stage in their assigned costumes! They wore those animal pyjamas, from dragon to duck to bear to dog everything present, and it was so cuuuuute. They were all bright smiles and aegyo, performing “You Are My Girl” in the pyjamas, but seemed happy when they were allowed to exit again and change lmao.

Another outfit change, and they came back in white suits plus black dress shirts, holy, looking uber extra fine actually. They performed “Sweet Girl” slaying super hard as expected, vocals on point, choreography finally working for everyone, and then they started right with “Lonely” afterwards, which got all of us screaming super loud and completely hyped up for what was about to come next – they threw off the suit jackets, quickly rolled up their black sleeves (Sandeul helped C.NU who kept messing up) and started right with super energetic and fun “Baby I’m Sorry”. The mood was soooo amazing, seriously, everyone was jumping and singing along and B1A4 were just as hyped up! Next was “My Love” which they also slayed with energy x1000 (seriously, do they never get tired or something?) and then break again, with them staring at us with these big, sad eyes, “Next is our last song”. Naww really? They all told us how much they enjoyed it and we assured them with loud screams that yes, we totally loved it too. Then, every member personally said a few words which was so cute, they told us they really liked coming here and how they want to come back (pinkie promise and everything). We all started shouting “Saranghae! Saranghae!” when it was each members turn and they were smiling so brightly, telling us “me too me too”. Baro then told us this tour is extra special for him since he managed to bring his mother and sister along – he pointed in our direction and wow, Baro’s mum was right next to us! She made a heart with her arms and laughed and Baro was all smiley-smiley and shot hearts – his sister was standing on the side, leaning against the bar with this whole oh my god my brother is sooo embarrassing, covering her face in her hands and everything while he continued throwing hearts, so relatable lmao. Then Jinyoung said a few last words and ended with a quiet “I really love you” oh godddd. Afterwards, the really calm and sweet “10 Years After” started and they were all eyecontact, hearts and smiles while singing, super precious. Afterwards – everything quiet, B1A4 running really quickly off stage, and we all left in the darkness.

But of course, that was not supposed to be it. We all shouted “B1A4! B1A4! B1A4!” and raised the banners we prepared – “Your Music is Our Happiness” in Korean – and then the first chords of “Beautiful Target” started playing, yuzzz. Imo their best song (probs because it was my first B1A4 song) and they were so cheerful and in it! They pointed at our banners and were all “wow!” and “thank you!” and we were all really happy our surprise worked out so well! “Baby Good Night” was next – they danced all energetic like seriously, they had so much extra power in spare it was amazing. I feel like they even were the most energetic during encore like ok, you just jumped through a whole concert but let’s still turn it up x10000. “You’re a Girl I’m a boy” was the third encore song and … I have no words for the choreography … the fact Baro was right in front of me definitely did not help like ugh boy …

“A Glass of Water” finally was the peak of the whole concert, let’s be real here. I didn’t know what to expect from all the water bottles the staff brought to the stage during the break, and during the verses they were all innocently taking a few sips like we’re just drinking, nothing suspicious here – and then came the chorus! One second taking another sip from the bottles – the next they poured them all over us! And not just one, but like at least seven each chorus! Everyone was screaming, jumping around to the chorus and getting all drenched – of course B1A4 didn’t miss to shower each other, too – and it was seriously the best mood ever. I couldn’t stop screaming and laughing and B1A4 looked like they had the times of their lives. Second chorus, another ten bottles all over our heads, and Baro even leaned forward and poured one bottle directly over the heads of two fans in the first row lmao. When the song ended, everyone was out of breath and completely wet and they looked at us with those bright smiles and were like “Do you want more?” and of course we were all “yesssss!” – so the chorus started playing again! And another ten water bottles over our heads yuzz. When the song ended we thought that’s it, but B1A4 was definitely not done yet. “Do you want morrreee?” “Yes!” “Really?” “Yes!” so the song started playing a third time! And more water! After they finally emptied around fifty water bottles (I’m just kidding. Except – not really), the song ended and everyone was just screaming uncontrollably. B1A4 were all like super happy, laughing and waving and everything.

Then it was sadly really time for the last song – “Who Am I” – which B1A4 of course used to unleash as much left over energy as possible. It was one huge jumping screaming laughing waving throwing hearts everything, and C.NU even went so far to jump off stage and completely vanished in the fans first row! A staff member actually jumped after him but it took him like one minute to get him back on stage lmao. ­­They finished the song with all wide smiles, and then they gathered and held each other’s hand. They bowed in front of the fans so many times, once on each sides and in the middle and all over again – seriously them being so grateful is so so precious. A lot more of eye contact, hearts, waving and then – it was really over.

I still feel incredibly hyped up and happy about the whole experience – B1A4 is definitely a group worth seeing live. It’s not about the fact they excel dancing and slay all the notes (their live vocals are pretty much impressive though), it’s all about the fact how much fun B1A4 actually have on stage and how they manage to deliver this perfectly and give you just as much if not more fun. Like seriously, the concert was one big party and B1A4 absolutely knew how to hype us every second! They are true performers and such lovely persons altogether, the fanservice and all the preciousness the showed us made this even better. I will definitely treasure this concert very dearly in my heart!

Now, a short summary for every member:

Gongchan: as expected, maknae is super good looking, super tall and super bright and happy on stage. Constantly all smiles, and ever so close to the fans, waving, throwing hearts, shaking hearts and more. Master of eye contact – when it wasn’t his parts, he stood all close to the edge while his eyes wandered over every single face with this super warm smile on his face, suuuper precious.  I feel like I had eye contact with him at least thrice. Voice really good & stable, dancing precious and cute even though often messed up, which made him laugh all embarrassed.

Baro: Holy Christ, this guy is sooo handsome! As soon as he stepped on stage, all tall & good looking, hair combed out of his face with so much forehead, I lost it, screaming at my sister “Do you see Baro – do you see him???”. I never realized he’s that good looking actually, like take how he’s looking in pictures and then x1000 or smth. Was super fun and extremely relaxed during stages, laughing, showing all his English skills, joking with fans, throwing hearts, grinning and winking, dancing super energetic and everything. His voice is deep as an ocean and his rapping so stable wow. Bias wrecker srsly.

Sandeul: Very good looking with light, orange-ish hair and his characteristic bright smile never leaving his face. Laughing and making a fool of himself one second, smirking and winking at the fans and serenading to them the next. Jumping around on stage, pranking the other members, simply having fun nonstop – his good mood was extremely contagious. Breaking in amazing high notes every now and then, like wow, his voice is seriously no joke. Unsurprisingly, Baro and him were constantly bickering lmao.

C.NU: Arguably the best looking member – something I definitely did not expect, like yes, I do know he’s good looking but he was practically glowing on stage. Arms and face omg, his hair super soft and fluffy but especially fine with the snap back he wore during encore. Relaxed and chill in the beginning, extremely hyper in the last half, jumping around, head banging, laughing, running around like crazy – staff was so done with him. Fanservice to the maximum, throwing hearts, winking, smiling, serenading fans, shaking hands and I love yous every now and then – personal goal was probs making everyone fall in love with him. I guess he pretty much succeeded. Random high notes at its best, like he slayed whenever possible. Vocals A++.

Jinyoung: Prince Charming, like seriously. Smiles and all hearts and soft and a little shy and kind hearted – still pretty much goofy at times. Super interactive with fans, like constantly leaning forward to throw hearts and smiles. Compliments all over the concert, “Our fans are the best” “As expected, BANAs, so pretty, so amazing”, also aegyo and what nots for keeping us all in love with him. Even more good looking in real life, like suuuper handsome. Voice like wow, slaying them high notes and chorus and everything, super stable, super amazing. Leader is the best. I chose my bias well lmao.
