Why Yoona?

I've had a crush, and when I say crush I mean not in the romantic way but in the way a fan looks at their idol, similar to how a newborn child looks up at their mother I guess, on Yoona for a while now. The love I have for her is still incredibly strong even after all these years. And throughout this journey of being inspired by her, being in awe of her I have had countless number of people ask me "Why Yoona?". And here's my answer.

First of all it isn't a "why". It's a happening. On the most simplest basis, I have no reason as to why I like this amazing woman, it is purely a connection one feels when they meet someone amazing. There is no reason; it is simply something that happens. But on a more complex level, there are many reasons as to why I love this pure hearted, sweet, down to earth 25 year old Korean celebrity.

First off, she's is incredibly beautiful. In simple words she is aesthetic goals. Basically she's the definition of a human form of Aphrodite. She has a ing perfect face, a face where everything is so beautifully aligned that you just can't keep your eyes off her.

Second of all, she's got an incredible heart. And for those of you who want to fight me and argue saying that "That's only the side she shows for the camera" or "You don't even know her" I will fight to the ing death pit defending her. Have you seen the fancams of her at the airport, her attitude towards her fans and even her attitude towards younger artists? She is possibly one of the most humble and giving celebrities that the industry has seen. And side note: she also pays her taxes! So for all of you in Korea complaining that celebrities get it easy, look at Im ing Yoona, a diligent tax payer and charity giver. She's part of the UNICEF compaign, she actively gives to those in need and she is continuously always looking for a way to be a better person.

Third, her love to her members. Never have I seen a celebrity with as much love towards her fellow sisters/members as Yoona does. And once again if you want to argue with me on that all I have to say is to go check out her message to her members on the last episode of Channel Soshi and maybe then you will understand how pure and how kind this woman is. 

Fourth, her love and kindness towards her fans. I think that we can all agree that she is one to put her fans before herself. One, the fancam of her cutely slapping her manager so he can stop shouting at the fans who came to see her. Two, she stopped to take a picture with her fans at the airport in Prague. A celebrity does not simply decide to take the time off to take pictures with her fans. Especially at a ing airport. Three, her reaction to the video her fans made her at the Prime Minister and I fanmeeting in Thailand. Four, her diligence to learn Japanese, English, Chinese in order to communicate with her fans just that one bit better. She is an absolute beauty in all ways possible.

Fifth, her diligence to learn. Yes, she may not the best dancer or the best vocalist. She may not have a voice like Taeyeon's or moves like Hyoyeon's but there is not denying that she is incredibly hardworking. She's always eager to learn and honestly I've always believed in the saying "Hard work doesn't lie" because hard work honestly does not lie. The improvement that we have all seen over the years in her vocals, in her dancing, in her acting, in her performance is absolutely incredible. So for all the ers out there in the world saying that she does not deserve to be the star that she is I would like to tell you kindly that the door to hell is right behind you and that you are welcome to step forth. 

I love her, I praise her, I bow down to her. I would turn lesbian for this woman. She is, in the words of CL "a girl's lesbian crush".
