Nature's Growth and Surrounding
History — Kim Areum was born to an ordinary name, but not an ordinary life. She was the oldest of two children, into a fairly wealthy family. From the time she was young, Areum did well in school, yet at home she was not well cared for. It was her and her younger brother- Her mother and father were always working, and they didn't bother hiring anyone to care for their kids when Areum reached eight years old. Her life was pretty hard, raising a five year old kid and trying to do well in school. When she was ten, her father passed after a quick, three-day cancer. Her mother, during her grieving, realized she's been missing out on her childrens' lives, and wished her husband realized this before he passed.
After this, Kim Yeojin did what she could to be a good mother. Going to school events, making meals, listening to their problems- Everything seemed to get better, even though they were grieving her father. When Areum was thirteen, she began to notice that she was always jumpy- Always nervous, always uncomfortable. She would have times of blankness, of absolute panic where her heart races, sweat would drip, her eyes unfocused and darting around- It happened repeatedly, and finally Areum couldn't take it anymore, and she told her mother. At age fourteen, she was diagnosed with an anxiety disoder. After trying countless methods, nothing could counter said anxiety, and Aerum was put on medication.
The medication helped her, contrary to what she thought, and suddenly Areum felt free- Like she was happy and could do whatever it was she wanted with her life, that she could talk to people without becoming fearful, she could go out with her friends without ending up in tears. After this, Areum became the person she is today. Her mother got remarried when Areum was sixteen, and her family moved to Seoul after high school so Areum could go to Seoul National University, but she moved into her own apartment not long later. She left after three years after learning from a great patissier to open her own bakery, which has become farily well-known since.
Current Life —After leaving Seoul National University, Areum moved from one aprtment to another, which happens to have two floors- The top basically a house, and the bottom an open space that was formerly a botique. This is the top floor, and this is what the bottom has become. Areum wakes up at five a.m. on a work day, because she always bakes the starting goods. The bakery opens at seven thiry in the morning, and at arund six is when any scheduled worker shows up. It's just the two of them until around the afternoon, when another worker or two comes in. In total, Areum's bakery- Sweetly Beauty- has ten workers, two of which are new. She works through the day until five, when she leaves her shift. Normally the bakery clsoes at ten at night, so she has a few hours before returning to help the workers close. Within that time, she normally visits her friends and gets some food, or gets some alone time with her boyfriend. By eleven at night, she's normally finished at work and can take a short bath before cuddling with her fiance and going to sleep. If she has the day off, Areum gets up around ten. She eats a quick breakfast and goes to visit one of her friends, or sometimes go out as a group. If her boyfriend's off of work, they go on dates and plan their wedding down to the last details. If no one's open to hang out, Areum goes tothe spa, or lazes at home with her snake and cat. When she's not working, she's always asleep by ten at night.

Background — Lee Taemin was born over twenty-two years ago to a poor family. He had his parents and his younger brother Jongin, but their parents died when their apartment building caught on fire when he was thirteen and Jongin was twelve while they were at school. The two were sent to a boys home where they stayed until Taemin was eighteen, when he adopted Jongin officially and took him out of the orphanage with him. First meeting — Taemin and Areum meet when Taemin's son, Jeong, suddenly runs up to her and grabs her leg while walking home from a trip to the park after Taemin was told that he coud be let go at any time. While Taemin begins to apologize profusely, Areum is barely paying attention as she marvels at the pure adorableness Jeong exudes. She suddenly squeals, freaking the hell out of Taemin and then gushes over how she wishes she had a cute son like him. Taemin starts to wonder if Jeong's picked a freak to single out among the whole world to grab onto, but then Areum apologizes herself and explained that she had been planning on having kids as soon as she got married, but that her fiance literally left her yesterday. Taemin feels pity for her, but she simply smiled in that strong way that she always does. She then explained that her family had been so excited for her, and that they'd wanted to meet him so bad. They ended up at a park bench, Areum crying her eyes out because she had been treated so cruelly, being up and abandoned. Jeong simply sat in her lap, hugging her with his tiny arms while Taemin offered words of comfort- After all, he had been in a similar situation when his girlfriend gave birth and then abandoned them.
Interaction — When they're normal, at home and not a couple, these two act like...Normal friends. They mostly are formal, but they do try to practice acting like a couple. They're often exchanging information about each other, trying to make sure it seems like they really know each other. As they get somewhat closer, formalities mostly drop, under the excuse that it's better if they act close all the time, should someone suddenly drop by.
It's not uncommon for Taemin to be seen helping around the bakery if he's got a few days off, and Areum really appreciates it.
