Butterfly

THIS IS A ING AWESOME SONG I LOVE IT. I’ve been kinda expecting this more than Run, and this DID NOT LET DOWN MY EXPECTATIONS (except for the ballad-y music shown in the Prologue). It has a soothing electro-beat and the lyrics... oh man the lyrics. I AM SO ING HAPPY THIS SONG DID NOT HAVE THAT MANY RAP PARTS, because a rap in this would’ve killed it... literally. In the second chorus, when the beat drops, my heart dropped. Seriously, it was that good. It was a tad bit unfair that Jin sang only in the last though...

Hats off, Suga & other Producers!

Run

This song, I really liked the start of it, but as it progressed... I found myself coming to love it. The chorus beat is really different, no really what I’d say BTS. In fact, both the HYYH parts weren’t BTS at all. They can attempt at any genre, and come out victorious! I really liked Jimin’s parts (the Jimin bias I am ><), but the most outstanding were, according to me, J-Hope’s; I don’t know, they really stood out.

One line really stood out to me, though.

Let’s run run run! It’s okay if we fall
Again, run run run! It’s okay if we get hurt

Overall, this song is REALLY fit for a title song... I can’t wait for this song’s choreo!

Points: 10/10 (This grows on you I swear!)

INTRO: Never Mind

Well, this is not new to me. I really liked this; it’s totally a J-Hope song! The rap style reminds me of J-Hope, he always teases with his voice. His voice has this versatility. I didn't expect the ‘f’ word here, but it’s okay since they’re a hip-hop group after all. The ‘Never mind! Never mind!’ part is really catchy! I really cannot recognize Suga's voice in this song, because all I hear is J-HOPE. Don’t blame me. And they way they talk about themselves; it’s a bit... touching? I cannot find the right word for it.

Points: 8/10 (I really don’t like raps, but this is pretty good!)

Whalien 52

This is named after the 52-hertz whale, I heard. Maybe the song talks about them calling out to the lonely girl AKA lonely whale, or them being the lonely whale? THE RAP MON PART IS SOOO DEEP GOODNESS. I really liked the rap part, even in the preview (although they played ONLY his rap in that...)

Ma City

MA CITY! THIS SONG ROCKS! I didn’t hear a thing, but the chorus is really poppy! I really didn’t like the ‘hey, Busan’s sea, say la la la la’ part; it got the song a tad bit down. I think Jimin had troubles singing that part >< The rap-line really got this one!

Now we all know where they’re from!

뱁새 (Crow Tit/Try-Hard)

I do not like this song. Straight out. There’s this feeling of familiarity, plus the song’s kinda... lowkey annoying. Don’t blame me, I don’t like this, I don’t think I can ever like this. I like the ‘Call me, Baepsae’ part. That’s... pretty much it. V’s parts really made me cringe, that... ‘no no~ryeok’ part. Urgh /hands and feet curling up/

2016/01/24: THIS A NEW JAM OKAY JIMIN'S PART IS UNBELIEVABLY YYYYY

Points: (4) 6/10 (for the beat of the song, and the chorus. The rappers did a not-so-good job at trying to sing theirs parts)

고엽 (Dead leaves)

I expected this song along with Butterfly. While Butterfly did not let me down, this kinda did. Not like I expected it very much, but ever since I heard this in the preview, it sounded so beautiful... I just love the chorus part!!! Jimin and Jungkook harmonize really well!

(I might be getting a bit boring, but I don’t have an extensive vocab, you know?)

OUTRO: House Of Cards

OHMYGAWD! The outro is HAUNTINGLY BEAUTIFUL. I cannot explain it in words... it is that beautiful. This my most favorite song after Butterfly! No regrets, The vocal line REALLY managed to give that ‘haunting’ feel to this song. I really like the lines in the chorus (all I talk about is the chorus)

Such an awesome album! Butterfly and Outro: House Of Cards is undeniably my favorite songs, but maybe... just maybe... my likings would add up.
