APPEARANCE Kim Ruka has long, dyed light brown hair that she often braids. When it's not braided, she has it down and straight (Of it's humid it gets curly). Ruka has a nice shape, with C-cup s and large hips. She wears very little makeup, but she loves to play up her lips. She has a bellybutton piercing, though she usually doesn't wear it. WHEN SHE DOES IT'S A CUTE LOBSTER. Ruka has a scar on her left side, it's about two inches long and it's from when a piece of glass embeded itself into her skin when her band got into a car accident three years ago, which she's really self-concious about.

To start off with, Ruka is a really competitive person. Ever since she was young, she competed to win. She wants to be the best, she has to win. She's also quite maternal, so it's a handy thing she's a leader. Really, this girl loves to take care of girls. She connects with people on a close level, she's affectionate and patient with all. She has the best patience you'll ever find, and has a hard time snapping. Ruka will take her time to listen to what you have to say, and she's rarely going to get mad at you.

Ruka is alert. She's always on guard and pays attention to every single detail. She's the first to know when there's something wrong with someone, and is constantly extremely aware of what going on in her surroundings. She responds quickly to bad situations. She's also very charismatic, she's just so confident you can take one look at her and know. She's got great body language and is s fabulous listener, and all of this makes her quite charismatic. It rare for Ruka to comlain as she usually keeps bad thoughts to herself. Everyone is thankful for this, as who wants to listent to complaints all the time?

She's very passive. Unless she's playing leader for her band, she's always in the background. Ruka lets others take the wheel, which makes others happy. She doesn't mind not making decisions, it actually gives her time to breathe. She was made to follow, not to lead. Ruka is compulsive and does many things on a whim. If she suddenly wants to paint, she'll paint. If she wakes up at two in the morning and wants to eat, she'll eat. If she wants to yell at her manager, she'll yell at her manager. IF she wants to get angry at someone, she'll get angry. It's actually quite weird.

Ruka is lazy. She hates actually getting up and doing things when she could instead be watching movies or sleeping. It takes forever for her to get out of bed. Ruka seriously hates doing anything other than dancing if it invlolves moving. Don't make her get up in the morning unless you're a manager or bandmate. You may die. She's also very disorganized, and can never keep track of anything. Don't entrust her with something important, it will get lost. She just can't keep a hold of things.

BACKGROUND Kim Ruka was born to  a Japanese father and a Korean mother nearly twenty-two years ago. She was one of twins, and grew up happily despite discrimination against her parents. She and her twins weren't that close growing up and fought often. It wasn't until shortly before Ruka became and idol they become close. In any case, Ruka wasn't spoiled nor neglected, and had many friends. She never caused problems in schooL.

rUKA WASN'T INTERESTED IN MUSIC UNTIL SHE WAS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL. She instead has an interest in animals, but when popular Japanese groups began expanding and were playing all over the streets, she knew she had to get in. Many people had told her before that she had talent in singing and dancing, so she started to go to a dance studio and took vocal lessons. When she was twelve she was put on anti anxiety medication because she refused to go to school because she felt too anxious. It was hard for her to branch out and do these kinds of things, but she really wanted to.

At thirteen years old, Ruka was accepted into Avex Japan. Around this time, she and her brother became much closer through the shared love of music. They hung out all the time and became like the twinss you'd always expect to find. She trained for three years before she was appointed the leader of a new group Coded. They became one of the top three Japanese girl groups in no time and expanded to Korea and Chinese-speaking countries. She acted in two dramas a few years later and had simply lived her life as an idol.

– Kim Jonghyun is often described as the man of every girl's dreams. He's attractive, gentle, and has a great voice. He likes to give puppy eyes and jokes around to lighten the mood. hIS GOAL IS TO MAKE EVERYONE happy through music, and hopefully relate to him. Jonghyun's also very romantic, He does every sweet thing you can think for his friends and family, from cooking a meal to writing them a song. – Back in 2010, Jonghyun dates actress Shin Sekyung. They would meet in the early morning and seemed to be very close. After many pictures were taken on the morning of October 20th, SM Entertainment comfirmed the relationship. SHINee lost many fans, and Shin SeKyung gained many antifans. In the summer of the nest year the couple broke up.

first meeting
– Jonghyun and Ruka met on a scavenger hunt through Seoul. Jonghyun srateed from his dorm to a park, and Ruka went from the airport to SM Entertainment's building. From there Ruka was sent to a nice shopping district while Jonghyun was sent to one on the opposite side of Seoul. They then met in a small painting gallery, knowing that they were marriage parntners by the orange scarves they were both wearing. They admired paintings together and were surprisingly comfortable. Jonghyun was a perfect gentleman and Ruka was a laughing, giggling mess. Jonghyun then took her to a nice place to eat sinc eher stomach growled. They chose to speak comfortabley, even though Ruka still stumbled over a few words while she spoke as she at that time is still not entirely fluent. Thy actuallly exchanged numbers first metting.

– Ruka is very kind and touchy-feely with Jonghyun. He's quite romantic towards her, so they go on a lot of dates, take a lot of pictures, buy presents. etc. Since Ruka's image is very cutesy and childish (Though she does get very sassy), she'll do dumb child-like things that sometimes annoy Jonghyun, not that he shows it. She tends to cling to him, and Jonghyun welcomes it. Ruka plays a lot of jokes on him.

– Jonghyun seems to have a lot of fun with Ruka. He treats her like every woman should be treated, and does a lot of romantic things, like rubbing his nose against hers endearingly, bringing her a homemade lunch, etc. Jonghyun sings a lot of ballads to hr, and they just act like a couple who's been together for a really long time. It's hard to describe, really, but saying "I love you" is no real problem.

– Off-camera, at first, was somewhat awkward. They had never met beforehand but the producers of We Got Married made them eat lunches together and talk to they would be more natural on-screen. Truth be told, Jonghyun wasn't exactly thrilled to be on We Got Married, but he dealt with it and started to enjoy it after a while. Ruka was quite blush-y in the beginning, but she warmed up to Jonghyun quickly. After the first month or two of filming, they could be considered friends.

– After they've been acting married together for a while, they were quite comfortable with skinship joking around. They've never acted as close as they do on-screen, because they simply aren't that close, but they're definitely considered great friends. Those things you and your best friend do and act? That's them.

couple name The Skinship Couple. These two have been very into skinship since day one, and thus earned the name since day one. Ruka and Jongyhun hold hands a lot, kiss each other's cheeks, hug, cuddle, they're the most skinship-y couple in the history of the show. Of course, Jonghyun is the proclaimed skinship king, so it's be be expected.

– After We Got Married, Jonghyun and Ruka decide to date for real. After their stint of dating, they couldn't simply let things go. Also, Coded (Ruka's band) was about to have a Korean comeback so she woudl continue to stay in Korea so they tried things out. They, as expected, were quite close and they understand each other well. They're still at the boyfriend-girlfriend stage two years later but Jonghyun plans of proposing.
