Does the music I listen to affect what I write?

Cuz I've been obsessed with girl groups lately, and I liten to them while writing a story with SHINee even tho I keep telling myself to listen to SHINee. Not that it's a hard task, just I'm really into girls groups right now. so yea

To me it does - I usually end up writing whenever I hear a song , watch a video , anything that inspires me.
Which would kinda explain as to why I haven't really updated much of my stories, woops.

depends on a stuation.. when i write about shinee i listen to shinee and so on, but mostly i have lists with different types of music- slow and sad or more happier - and usually they affect.

Well it depends. I try to listen to Bts when writing a Bts story and listen to Exo when writing Exo but that doesn't tend to happen. So, what I tend to do is find the feeling of the story (like angst or something) and find a song that has that same feeling to help the story stay with it.

I doubt it. I make playlists that consists of different artists. I believe the key point is the music itself, not the artist. And if listening to girl groups give you a satisfying result, then who cares you're writing shinee without listening to shinee? I've done that as well.
