Advices and Advertisers // My POV

Advertisement shops are a big part of Asianfanfics.com, they help promote the stories of fanfic writers, and recommend new stories to fanfic readers. I knew some people are annoyed to their guts, but most people don't really mind.

I own an advertisement shop called Package Petite where I provide mainly small amounts of wall posts to requesters, and when I scroll through people's walls, I find some interesting statuses.

A lot of statuses are about a certain band, or a certain member, some status tells the mood of the user, and some other status have hilarious jokes or puns that makes me grin.

Although I am still an amateur advertiser, I want to list some things that an advertiser should keep their eyes open for that may get people to check out your advertisement.

1. The little present icon beside their Join date, or birth date.

When you come across a user that has their AFF anniversary or birthday, be sure to congratulate them and wish them well. That gets you on the user's good side. When the user sees your short sweet message along with your advertisement, they'll probably think: Wow, he/she is so nice to congratulate me, I'll check out their advertisement.

2.  Cool profile pictures/GIFs

If you ever across a really cool/cute/y profile picture, be sure to tell them that you LOVE it! I'm sure that's going to get you on their good side, and the chances of them reading your advertisement will increase. Maybe you'll even make a new friend, who knows!

3. Lastly, always read the user's status

This one is a MUST DO. If you advertise a certain things the user clearly stated that they don't like, then you just wasted your time, because they won't check it out. Even worse, you'll get some hate messages back and get blocked. When you ar advertising for roleplays, this is especially important since a lot of AFF users detest roleplay ads.

Every once in a while, I'd see someone advertise to a user when their status clearly stated 'DO NOT ADVERTISE'. If those advertisers get hated after, then they deserve it. Don't do things to piss other people off on purpose.

However, I have also came across some pretty rude statuses directed to advertisers and other users such as:

1. IF YOU ADVERTISE I'LL ING RIP YOU APART
2. YOU, DON'T ADVERTISE ON MY WALL
3. IF YOU ING ADVERTISE, REPORTED AND BLOCKED
4. HUNHAN ONLY, XIUHAN SHIPPERS CAN DIE

Chill man, hello to you too.

If any of you advertisers see users like this, just don't even bother. Their status just proves how rude, ignorant, and ugly they are on the inside. Trust me, you don't want somebody like that requesting/releplaying/reading your things. Just stay away, and they can continue behaving like little b*tches who will eventually get their butts spanked by society.

*Laughing hysterically as I reread my blog* I'm not an expert at all, in fact I have no idea what I just wrote. Are my opinions yay or nah?

Sorry sorry, see you later!

Well, this is going to be confusing, but I hope you understand what I'm saying.

All advertisers should have the courtesy of reading a user's status because there are users who clearly state they don't want advertising or they're specific about the kind of advertising they allow. (Such as no roleplay ads.) If an advertiser doesn't bother using three seconds to read a status, what makes them think the user will care to give the ad their time of the day? Don't advertisers know that what they do affects the authors too? How can requesters/authors get any feedback or gain interested readers if the advertisers can't be considerate? And what even more is when these requesters/authors are paying for wall adds, but the advertisers are wasting their effort because all they want to do is copy and paste on any un-private wall they can find?

I'm not saying all ad shops are like this because I have stumbled two or three ad shops that genuinely helps the authors. They are considerate of WHERE they advertise and WHO they advertise to. They go as far as going through users' subscriptions and/or checking out the users' stories to see what they like to read and write about. THAT is how you should advertised.

Anyways . . . Do you know what's funnier than seeing an advertisement on a wall that says it doesn't want ads? Clicking on the advertiser's profile and I see that their status reads "no ads," but then it's funny how they have the nerves to advertise on someone's wall in the first place. Smh.

P.S. I love to randomly comment on people's profiles when they have awesome gifs :P
