Red Velvet's Joy and Yeri talk about what has changed since debut

SM Entertainment's rookie girl group Red Velvet, who recently came back with the upbeat and fun single "Dumb Dumb", discussed what has changed during the year they'e been active.

At the group's preview event for their new album 'The Red' held at Seoul's Olympic Park Muse Live Hall today, Joy mentioned that she reflected on herself a lot in the past year.

The idol recalled, "After debuting, because I didn't know anything, every little thing was new, and I was just happy getting to go on stage. As time passed, I didn't want to be tied down to a cute maknae image and wanted to show a different side of me. So I reflected a lot on myself, thinking more about which aspects of myself I can strengthen."

Yeri, who attended the event, related that in the past year of activities she feels like she became much closer with the rest of the members. She said, "As we continue our activities, I can feel our teamwork growing stronger." She added, "Even while practicing, we try to enjoy ourselves more. Because we have to exert a lot of physical strength for this choreography, we tried to practice by encouraging each other."

The girls surely have come far since they debuted around a year back! Let's hope Red Velvet continue to experience success down the road.
