To Those Who Went to KCON LA

So this is my first time going to any convention of some sort as well as concert and I was wondering what kind of tips you have for first timers like me. How much money should I bring? What can I expect from the convention? Is there free food? Are goods and fanmerch and whatnot expensive? Is the wait to get inside super long?

I know KCON NY is gonna different from KCON LA but I just want a little heads up on what to expect and stuff.

Thank you ^^

Hi~ OMG KCON LA was AMAZING! Hehe, it was my second time going and they really improved upon the system this year.
Registration was faster, and the event was indoors. So to answer you last question we got inside really quickly (not counting all the people who came early and waited at the doors for no reason lol). The year before it took over 2 hours to get into the outdoor event. So yeah, much better this year. I think I will be making a video about it on my Youtube channel to summarize the experience.

Here is a TOP 10 KCON TIPS video that may help you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5WJNIev33o
As well as a vlog of the actual event so you can get a feel for it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0uBIkpUuJwI

Anywho, to answer your specific questions, I would bring a decent amount of money, maybe one hundred dollars? It's always good to have extra in case. Some things were inexpensive, such as posters for 5 dollars, then the average album was 25 dollars. There's a lot of opportunities to purchase things that you perhaps can't get where you live, so yeah, lots of people took advantage of that.

There was some free food, like small samples of noodles, some pastries, cola, and even frozen lemonade. But the food there was as expected, overpriced. I went across the street to eat lunch because I could get more bang for my buck.

I hope your experience is as wonderful or even more wonderful as mine was!!!
