personality
Positive: Motherly/maternal, intelligent, passionate, self-sufficient
Negative: Disrespectful, uninhibited, quick-tempered, tense
Neutral: Athletic, cute

Kyong has her bad side, but she's not a total like she could be. That being said, she's very disrespectful towards everybody- Especially her elders. She doesn't particularly try to disrespect them, but since she's so uninhibited and doesn't think before she says or does something, she just does and says everything. She has a habit of yelling when people piss her off- There's no reason, it just makes her feel better if she can intensely make people know how she's feeling. She's rude, but doesn't feel the need to change anything. Kyong doesn't like when people disrespect her, though, so watch out and try to hold your own temper, because she will slap you right back.
Speaking of tempers, she's got a bad one. Just like a child, not getting her way can make her throw a temper-tantrum. She hates it when anyone cuts her off and will imediately tell them off. When she's feeling particularly pissy, she's start to point out every bad aspect of a person just to piss them off so they'll fight back. Her whole life, people have tried to appease her by giving in and giving her whatever she wants, or just plain staying way from her so they're not on the recieving end of her wrath. Kyong wants what she wants, when she wants it, and no one better dare argue with her. She's so mad that she's not debuting as a solo artist, like promised, that she refuses to speak to any of the members.
Kyong's also very tense. She finds it hard to relax because there's so many things going on, whether its her home life or being an idol. She very much regrets the desicions she made in becoming a trainee as being an idol isn't even her true dream. Kyong can't help but cry sometimes in frustration because she's so young and the idol life doesn't suit her. She loves singing, dancing, and even rapping just for fun, but in her heart its not the life she wants. All of that, plus the fact that even though she was promised to be a soloist so she didn't have to deal with group members and was put in a girl group with four other people, it's all just a lot for her. She get migraines and is often physically ill because of the stress. She's constantly tense and that contributes to her afwul temper.
Kyong can also be very naturally cute. She does things in an adorable way, and naturally pouts really cutely when she's offended or something of the like. Her voice is often described as cute by her best friend, and she likes to flaunt it when she has the chance.
Kyong is also very passionate about what she does. Even though being an idol isn't her dream, she works as hard as she can so she doesn't let anyone down. She never lays down and quits, no matter how much she wants so. She sees giving up as the biggest cowardice and looks down on it. She believes in fighting to your last breath, and so she shall. You can never make her give up her true dreams, no matter if they're ridiculous or impossible. Her passion can be felt wherever she goes because she knows giving up isn't an option.
She is also very intelligent. She was always second or third place in school, even though she didn't study or ever really try. Academics and sports come easy to her, though nothing else does. She can easily solve questions that every one else struggles over, though she doesn't like to. She thinks academics are useless, thus she refuses to go to college. She's naturally smart with an above-average IQ and does best in science and math- The logical classes.
Kyong is also very self-sufficent. Though she likes other to get and do things for her, she really can take care of herself just fine. Cooking, cleaning, she can do it for herself no problem. She's very content with herself and how she is, making life a bit easier for her, and also creating the lack of need for other people. Unlike others, she thrives of her own- Kyong does her best to keep her health in check, pays for her own food when she wants, is well-able to take care of herself emotionall, etc.
Last, and almost most of all, Kyong is very motherly and warm. She has extreme maternal instincts that always warn her when someone is upset or hurting, and makes her always want to care for someone when ill or hurt. She's affectionate to many people, and knows what someone wants or needs before they do. She can connect with people in a way mothers do with their children, and, when she's close enough to someone, she puts their needs before her own. She gives good advice and knows how to handle other's emotions. She sometimes feels like a mug of hot chocolate on a cold, snowy day, if you're close enough.
character background
Baek Kyong waas born on February 17th, 1996 at 3:24 p.m. on a cold yet sunny day to very...Unhappy family. Her parents (Father- Baek Minjoon, Mother- Baek Soeun) had not planned on any children, and to find out Soeun was pregnant had been quite the surprise and disappointment to the husband and wife of four years. They considered the idea of abortion, adoption, and even just leaving her on the side of the road after birth, but Soeun's brother, Jae, concinved the couple to allow him and his wife, Seoyeon, to care for Kyong until they decided they wanted to raise her.
The couple agreed, but seeing how as they were living in Germany at the time, Kyong stayed with her parents for a year where they unwillingly raised her until they moved back to Korea, where she was shipped off to her aunt's and uncle's. The two adored their niece, buying her the cutest clothes and always keeping her near.
As Seoyeon was a martial artist, she taught four-year-old Kyong how to defend herself. Her aunt and uncle would take her to visit her parets twice a month so she wouldn't forget about them. She when to preschool and kindergarten under her aunt's and uncle's care, until finallly when she was six years old, her parents decided to take her back. Tearfully, she moved across the city with her parents who gave her a room full of toys, coloring books, and clothes and told her to do whatever she wanted. She did so, leaving the house whenever she felt like to play with her nieghbors, or even go to the convenience store down the street if she wanted strawberry milk and snacks.
Her life was fairly normal, she did chores and homework, played with her friends, and had the fun kids should. When she was in third grade, she descovered her passion for sports when her school had a sports festival and she participated in as many events as possible. She realized how much she adored track and field, and began to spend her free time running and playing baseball with herself. Kyong liked to play by herself, but sometimes she would gather all of the neightborhood kids and make soccer or field hockey teams.
By the time she was in middle school, her parents had her with an athletic trainer and she was determined to be a famous track and field athlete. Her trainer knew she had talent and trained her well. She was well known around her school for her looks and how good she was at a lot of things. She refused to be popular, though, instead choosing to read books on how to improve her body to be an athlete. It was her true dream. Through her trainer, she was introduced to Kim Minjae, her trainer's son. The two hung out often and eventually became the best, closest of friends.
In order to get rid of the stress and anxiety in her life, Kyong plays sports. She's very fit and athletic- She adores track and field. It calms her down and clears her mind. She's really good at amost sports, and wants to do the Idol Olympics, Dream Team, and anything else involving physical activity. She's eventually known as the most athletic female idol because she's so fit. Kyong used to train to be a professional runner, but her parents made her give it up so she could help take care of her mother while she was pregnant with her brother. She never stopped dreaming of one day being the world's fastest runner. In order to get rid of the stress and anxiety in her life, Kyong plays sports. She never stopped dreaming of one day being the world's fastest runner.
Then, one day, she saw that SM was holding auditions. She debated with herself- She never really thought of being an idol- In fact, she didn't even like KPOP, so why would she become an idol? But then Kyong started to think. If she was a famous idol, and when her idol career was done, she began her athletic career, wouldn't more people be aware of her already? She would likely already have a lot of people supporting her and her career, and she would be more likely to get sponsors. With that plan in mind, she brushed up her dancing and singing, and decided to try out. In 2012, she was accepted into SM Entertainment as a trainee and began to work. She still continued with her athletic trainer on the side, but put her focus on training to become famous. Unfortunately, when she had been training for just a year, her mother became pregnant and she had to stop her athletic training immediately so she could use the time that wasn't used for being an SM trainee to caing for her mother, and eventually, new baby brother.
Kyong was chosen by the CEO to be a solo artist under the stage name of "Mel0die" for "Pinocchio" in 2015, after three long years of training. She'd seen many trainees come and go, but she refused to quit. Finally it was her time to be known by the world. She worked harder than ever, working sometimes twenty-two hours a day just to learn how to dance and sing at the same time. She would sit there with her her teachers for hours to learn how to rap, which wasn't really her forte. Kyong's vocals were her saving grace and she was excited as hell to debut.
That is, until she was informed by the CEO that they were making Pinocchio into a girl's group. Her will to perform disppeared almost immediately. She was certain she knew the reason why they chose to debut as a group- She simply didn't have enough talent to debut on her own. Kyong knew the company knew she would be a failure and a waste of money.  She became angry, resentful towards the company, though she kept shut. She went along with the plan, but simply refused to interact with the members.

FRIENDS
Best Friend » Kim Minjae : 20 : Kind-hearted, tolerant (He has to be, I mean, he spends all of his time with Kyong), shy, indecisive : Kyong and Minjae are the clotest friends you'll see. They honestly tell each other everything, cuddle, and have no romantic attraction towards each other, because, as they say, they "love each other in a way only best friends can understand." They tease each other lightly, and rarely fight. The two adore each other to no end.
RIVAL
Rival: The Pretty Face
Interaction: The two just cannot get along. They can fake it most of the time in public, but they prefer not ro be within fifteen to twenty feet of each other. They naturally repulse each other with their attitudes, and there has been a fair amount of physical fights. They argue about literally everything, even if they agree on something.
"We need to eat more vegetables," The pretty face nodded at Kyong's words, "Hey, what the hell are you doing agreeing with me?!"
"Why do you have the same opinion I do, ? Go believe something else!" She pushed Kyong from the table to the floor, glaring at the girl with malice. The singer returned the look, flipping her off from her spot on the floor.

The two do anything they can to piss off the other. Once, Kyong found a huge frog and put it on the pretty face's pillow. In retaliation, she pretty face dumped melted ice cream all over her.
There's no real reason anyone can think of as why these two specifically can't get along, other than Kyong's attitude problem, which, honestly, who doesn't have an attitude problem these days? They simply rub each other the wrong way.

History: They met a few times in the SM building in passing.

"Dammit, I can't get this move right," Kyong groaned, throwing herself to the ground. She was working hard to debut, but she couldn't get the dance down and it was annoying her to no end. She was good at dancing, so why couldn't she do the move? She sighed, picking herself up off of the ground and restarting the music. She twisted her body, arms and legs moving with grace, until the chorus came along. Upon trying the jumping move, Kyong found herself crashing harshly onto the floor, "Ow!"
"Omo, are you okay?!" A sudden voice appeared next to her. Upon opening her eyees, Kyong was met with the vocalist of SHINee. She groaned, flopping away from the man.
"I'm fine," She sighed. He held his hand out to her and she took it without hesitation. Jonghyun pulled her upright and smiled at her.
"I was worried you got really hurt," He glanced her over, seeing no obvious injuries, "You sure you're okay?"
"I'm sure," She giggled. His worried expression amused her, "It happens a lot. Every time I do the dance, actually, so it's nothing to worry about."
"Don't you get hurt from it?"
"Well, yeah, but what can I do? If I'm going to debut then I have to dance right," She smiled lightly, bowing, "I'm Baek Kyong, eighteen years old. I'm training to debut as a soloist, it's nice to meet you."
"I'm Kim Jonghyun, a vocalist in SHINee. I'm twenty-two years old, the pleasure is all mine," He bowed back. Kyong glanced at her watch, noting it was already past midnight. She was supposed to be home hours ago.
"Omo, I really have to go!" She squeaked, diving to grab her bag. She popped the CD out of the player and bowed towards Jonghyun, "It was nice meeting you, Jonghyun-ssi! I hope we can talk again!"
She raced out of the practice room, leaving a very amused Jonghyun behind.

INTERVIEW

Q. You probably mentioned this in your background already, but would you describe how you got into SM Entertainment and how you got chosen to be in Pinocchio?

→ Well, one day, when I saw the ad I felt inspired to put my voice to good use. I was passable at dancing, okay-ish at rapping, and I can sing, really well. I wasn't even scouted, I just wanted to do it on my own as a desicion to make. //giggle//
So no one ever asked you to go, you just went and audition?
Yup! //Laugh// I didn't even ask my parents, but I knew I could get in if I set my mind to it, so I did! I picked a song I sang all the time. //sheepish smile// I dont even remember what song it was anymore. Anyway, I sang it for everyone, and made a short little dance to go with it. I went through a lot of rounds and made it in because of my voice. //Grin// I also think I was pretty enough, despite the fact that I barely had any s at all! Look, I have a lot now, right? //Wiggles them a bit// Right?
Um...Yes.
//Cheeky grin// I know, right?! Like, puberty was sooo helpful. Anyway! //Cute giggle// I was originally chosen to be Pinocchio's soloist, but as you know, we're now a girl's group.
Why didn't you do a solo debut as planned?
//Slightly threatening look// Oh, you know. Things happen. We're done here, right? //Stands up, but sits back down// Do you have more questions? Ha, you'll be lucky if you get an answer now that you annoyed the hell outta me.
Q. What is your dream?

→ I want to be an athlete! //Excited smile, starts wiggling/// I love sports, you know! Running is my all-time, absolute, most certain favorite sport in the whole wide world! Buuut my parents don't want me to be. //Eye roll, scoff//
And why is that?
if I know. //Shrug//

Q. Do you have problems with the people in the company? The CEO, trainers – if so, explain why.

→ Um...The dance teachers don't like me very much. I have a hard time dancing correctly sometimes. //Pouts// It's not my fault my fine motor skills are basically non-existant, right? Like, holy , don't rag on me for stupid I can't control. I'm trying, right?! Like, God damn. They need to chill the out. //Sudden bright smile// But the vocal teachers like me since I make their job easy. Since, y'know, I can sing. //Stands up// Okay, I'm out~ Later~
Wait, what about the CEO?
//Stops short, gives deah glare// Don't even start you stupid . I purposefully didn't answer, and you're just too idiotic to realize. Go to hell, you annoying .

GOODBYE SUNSHINE
Comments: Aaaand done~ This was fun, I hope you like her!
Suggestions: I would add a scandal section on here, personally. I love scandals so yeah~
Scene Requests: It would be interesting if someone did We Got Married or they did Hello Baby. I want to see them raise a child really badly.
I want Kyong and the pretty face to get into a fight during a reality show or an interview. It could totally throw Pinocchio into the spotlight in a very bad way.

I want Kyong to do Dream Team, it would probably make her life, to be honest.
