Love isn't lost or dead or gone. It is just mis-valued. People look at love as a commodity. They look at it like it's money. They complain that someone doesn't love them "enough", and they complain because you won't show them the level of love that they expect. Romance isn't dead, either. It's just that guys look at romance and think it's a way to get girls into bed because singers and actors and the role models they have favour over long lasting love, so that must be what's right, right? That's how relationships go, isn't it? And women look at guys being romantic and, because of the guys that only think with their , they tend to think that it's just a guy trying to get them into bed. And quite often it isn't.

Yes, you are going to get hurt no matter what, but you're not going to get hurt by EVERYone ALL of the time. Just by some people some of the time. Because we are all cynical as people, we tend to think that others are equally cynical or are only doing things because they want something in return. It's like a guy holding a door open for a woman is only doing it because he finds her attractive, instead of doing it simply because it's the right thing to do.

I think it's a real shame that we have a lot of people that say "Where is the love now?" because of the idiots in the world, but it's there. It just needs to be allowed to flourish and show itself without people turning around and teasing others because of their feelings or taking advantage of these feelings and manipulating them for their own gain.
