FASHION STYLE [ ♦ ] Make up is the biggest source of confidence for Jinhye. It is not like she feel ugly without make-up, it just that she feels better with it. Despite sounds feminine with the make-up thing, her fashion is actually far from it. She cares about fashion, but not so much. She wears what she wants, anything that makes her feel comfortable---oversized shirt or t-shirt, hoodie, skinny jeans, or shorts are her favorites for daily-life. She likes to make her long-legs stand out (yeah, she actually got a quiet long legs despite being 168), so skinny jeans and shorts are her favorites. She prefers to wear skinny jeans over training-pants. She hates the fact that she got a quiet voluminous body, so she tries to hide it behind oversized clothes. TRAINEE BACKGROUND [ ♦ ] Unlike the other trainees who went in to JYP through online audition or talent-scouting, Jinni was scouted by Park Jinyoung himself after she got eliminated from KPOPSTAR2 (will be explained further in background and trivia about the KPOPSTAR part). And of course, many trainees were kind of jealous of her and tried to intimidate her. Most of kids in JYP were younger than her, so she was like the 'unnie' for some girls. But what's worse for her is that she is a quiet well known ulzzang. There are many questions about her, whether she is just another pretty face that Park Jinyoung throw in to the company. But being Jinhye, she just shrugged it off. She was her for singing. And she proved them wrong---she was not just another pretty face, she was a singer. Being one of the best vocalist  with constant praise from the mentor---of course many trainee were jealous of her and tried to push her down. She let it affect her once or twice, but she knew that she gotta be strong. Originally, JYP wanted to put her in vocal-centered group like 15&, or even let her go solo like Baek Ahyeon. But as he thought that the two were enough and she got a unique charm, she pushed her to polish her dance more. Thanks god her early days with gymnastics really help her and her flexibility also her sensitivity toward rhytm and moves make her as one of the top dancer---even though she thought that there were so many better dancers in JYP.  When JYP announced SIXTEEN, Jinhye really hoped that she was included as the 16 girls, as she was already 21 that time and she did not know when her debut would be if not now, because k-pop gets younger while she gets older. 

During SIXTEEN broadcast, she wowed everyone with her voice, making her as one of the favorites and also the strongest constant in terms of vocals, making her constantly placed in the major team. The mentors, and even JYP himself admitted that she had an impressive vocal-range and that she improved so much in terms of singing and dancing. Beside her talents, public also adored her as they can see that Jinhye is a good leader for the other trainees and her way of handling problems are ust impressive. But some hates her because they thought that Jinhye was rather pesismist and cry-easily. The stress during SIXTEEN was no joke, at least for Jinhye. The competition was heating up, and some girls become ambisious as ever---which was scary. But one thing that played the major role for her success in SIXTEEN (beside her talent, of course) was that she got a fandom that back her up, thanks to her appearance in various occasion and her being an ulzzang before. Because of the fandom, she constantly got #1 place for the public votes.

When you meet Jinhye for the first time, you will probably say that she is unfriendly and cold. Well, she just rarely show expression. Jinhye is actually far from unfriendly and cold, she is really adaptive and talkative. She naturally did not talk a lot in new environment, but once she clicked in to one, she will be talking non-stop. But actually, that's a way to prevents her from thinking about Lena--so that her past won't haunt them that much. Because when she tak with someone, it means that she is not alone so she won't think about Lena. She may not be the one who start conversation, mots of the time, because he is too afraid to initiate one. But once you talk with her, she is really good with keeping a conversation and makes people comfortable when talking to her. Thus, she is the best when you need someone to hear you out or to give you some advice. Living with only a busy dad and having three younger brothers to be taken care of, Jinhye was rather independent and responsible. She did not like be dependent on someone, but she really like it when someone depends on her because that will make her feel important and useful. Taking a responsibily to take care of kids since her early days, she is used to be responsible toward anything that she do. She believe that what she does will affect anyone---and when she decided to do something, she really know that there is price that she needs to pay in every action. It takes her a while to make a decision, because she is always overthinking the risk and making any possible what ifs. Especially if she is given trust to be a leader, she will be extra careful in making decision, because her deicision can either make her group to be on top---or put them on a downfall. 

Jinhye was a super perfectionist figure. Sometimes, she even find it harder to put her trust in someone when they are doing a group project, because she afraid that it won't go as she please and below her standard. So that she always do it by herself, as fast as she can, and giving the best result. When doing practice, it feels like that she is a military liteunant than an unnie for the members, as she can be very strict. Because she thinks that one small mistake can lead them to failure---and she doesn't want to risk that. But outside job, she is actually a daddy figure for the girls. She often spoils them with treats--like sweets, or giving them reward to rest if she thinks that they aare doing great. Her interest toward reading news papers is also one reason why the girls often call her 'daddy'.

Jinhye is rather a thinker than using her feeling, just like a man, as she is grown up with only a father. She will use her logic on everything, as she thinks that there must be a reason on everything that happen. However, when she starts to overthinking about something, she can be rather pesismist than optimist. Because she will keep thinking about the worst situation that can happen and keep on imagining it. She is a blunt and straight-forward girl. And far from plin-plan. She will hate what she hates, and love what she loves without pretending anything. Well, sometimes she is being fake because being an idol means you need to take care of your image well---and that includes on being fake and pretend that you like something that you don't. Growing up without mother through her puberty, Jinhye finds it hard to open herself with anyone. Especially when she gets problem to face. She is not used to express her feeling and uneasy-ness, so she always keep them for herself---and sometimes cry herself out. 

BACKGROUND [ ♦ ] 

Jinhye was the first child of four from Park Tae-Yong and and Ahn Hye-Mi. Her father was a music producer that is quiet well-known in the industry, whilist her mother was a fashion-designer. Her younger siblings were all brothers, and they were triplets, around 4 years younger than her. Having art and music in her genes, she learnt how to paint and play intruments in young age. She learnt piano and cello at the age of six, but quit it two years after since she found it too hard and simply not interested on it. The child Jinhye was not one to socialize, as she is living in apartment building where no kids were around and her brothers were still too young to play with him. She used to have an imaginary friends, named Lena. From her prespective, Lena was a slightly adventurous and tomboyish girl with high curiousty. At the age of eight, Lena started to affect herself in more bad than good. They were living in a small-house on in village for their summer-breaks that time. She got this image of Lena asking her to come to the lake and play with her. And she obeyed. Being eight-years old with no ability to swim, Jinhye was nearly drowned in lake. Thanks god it was a lake that made for recreation purpose, so there is no harmful animal and also harmful chemical to poisoned her. She as immediately taken to a psycholog to erase Lena from Jinhye's mind--which the expert said that it was nearly impossible. But they tried their best to make Jinhye's mind distracted from Lena---thus, it requires Jinhye need to talk and socialize more. The expert also suggest Jinhye to start to sing, or taking a role in school's play, which was why Jinhye started to sing in frst place. It was succeed at first, but even until now, Jinhye still saw Lena few times, mostly when she was alone and dpressed. And the image of Lena asking her to come closer couldn't get out from her mind at times.

Another problem came when she was ten. She was barely ten years that time, and what she knew was her parents could not live together anymore. In short, they divorced. She knew that her family was not the same since she was nine as she often overheard her parents fighting and see her mom crying, but again, what did a ten years old know about divorce beside the fact that her parents could not live together? The reason of their divorce was still a mystery for her.  Instead of following the mother, the court said that the right for the kids were on father. So Jinhye and her brothers who just turned six that time lived with her father that chose to move in to United States. Her education was held back a year due to language barrier, even though her english was quiet good for a ten years old kid. During the stay in states, life was not easy for her. No, they were not starving on all--her father provided more than enough for living. Jinhye was a bit troubled to sicalize, but she managed to get one or two friends to keep her company. But the biggest problem came from the family, again. Her father was a workaholic from starts, so she was used to left alone with her brothers until night since the caretaker was just until 5 each day. She then grew up as the mature figure for the three borthers, covering the mom's role and sometimes dad's role too. She also found it hard, going through her puberty without mother by her side to give her some advice. This was why she always use her logic rather than feeling in handling problems, because she grew up only with a father---which really affect how she thinks. The teenage Jinhye also learnt music more in States. But what attracts her the most was percussion---any kind of it. She learnt how to play some from a Asian Percussion street-club that often played near her school in Santa Ana, and also from her school. 

When she graduated from high-school at the age of eighteen, she made up her mind that she wanted to be with her mother. Telling her father was unexpectedly easier than she thought. But she couldn't take the triplets who would went through puberty soon with her. She thought that the triplets were my better there too. It was not like he never visited her mother after the separation. She just want to life with her, that simple. Her mother's brand had gotten so big when she came to Korea. When she was in Seoul at the age of 18, it was when she started to know about make-up, fashion, and other girls' stuff. And she unexpectedly like it. With her mother's suggestion, and seeing her mother really wants her to be a make-up artist, she took a make-up artist class that was only a two-years program at the age of 18, much younger than most of people---as she did not even have a clear goal in her life yet too, anyway. She was also start to pose for her mother's brand. 

In Seoul, she tried to earn more cash for herself by being a performer in one cafe along with other amateur singer, Chae Shinyeong. It was not like her family was in need of cash, she just understood on how her mother struggled with the brands and how her father struggled to give proper education for the triplets so that she tried her best to fulfil her tertiary needs by herself. She played cajon (a kind of percussion) and sang while Shinyeong was playing guitar. For her, singing was a mere hobby. But for Shinyeong, singing was a dream. They clicked well together and formed a duo named 'Fleur' which often held some busking event on hongdae's street. Some people recognized Jinhye easily as 'JINNI', the girl in Fantasia as her mother uploaded her pictures online quiet often. Thus, in 2011, she got in for a program named Ulzzang Generation and she learnt a lot from the other boys and girls there about the entertainment industry. After the show ended, she called Shinyeong and said, "Let's make it big, Eonnie." Her mother find it hard to accept at first, as she hoped that Jinhye would be a professional make-up artist instead. But she knew that the girl got some musical genes for the father, and she admit that Jinhye had the potential to make it big so she gave her blessing. In the middle of 2012, Jinhye and Shinyeong auditioned for KPOPSTAR2 and the judges separeted both of them and make Jinhye went solo, while placed Shinyeong in a group. Shinyeong's group failed in casting test while Jinhye failed on the last stage before the live-broadcast. But even so, both of them remained close. They still did some busking event until Park Jinyoung scouted her after the competition officially done. Jinhye also still managed to finish her studies on the meantime.

// Jinhye hates it when someone ask her age, it is not that she find it rude, it is completely okay, but she always get confuseabout what to answer. Like, her birthday is on February and if someone ask her age  before yhat, should she answer with her current age or tye age she supposed to be on the year? Should she answer it using korean or international age? Thus she prefers to just say that she was born on 1992.

PERSONALITY [ ♦ ] Joonyoung is someone that would be oblivious with his surround, but he is actually very caring. Despite her bad boys image, he is actually just like a kid--exept the fact that he smokes. He is three years older than Jinhye, so of course that would make her more mature than her. He was the one that would just reply Jinhye with a sarcastic remark if she made her pissed off. The one who was not a fan of romantic, that would compose a special song for his oved one. He is not the fan of PDAs, but would never let her girlfirend's hands left his the moment they are alone. He is always aware with how Jinhye feeling, and always make sure that she feels comfortable around her, like for example, making sure that he changes his clothes before meeting her and clean the studio so she won't smell the smokes. Joonyoung is not the type that will text you 24/7 to make sue he knows about you, he will text you once or twice in few hours, talking about games or nonsese. He was a chatterbox from beginning, but being near someone he loves just make him even more talkative, as he will talk about the most nonsense thing exist.Joonyoung was not a believer of some love-story like those in movie, buthe doesn't like the idea of 'lovers-like-friends' too. For him, a relationship should be a beautiful love, as he will take care of his girlfriend very well. 

RELATIONSHIP [ ♦ ] After their break up at 2013, everything was just different. Joonyoung got to debut, in which his debut song, The Sense of Ending, was actually  about Jinhye. On the same time, Jinhye was working hard as a part of SIXTEEN. After 2013, they were in an on-off relationship but then Jinhye knocked it off by saying that this would do no good to her debut and his career. Thus, they broke up for real in 2014. 

Time flew and it was 2015 already, yet Joonyoung was still thinking about how to getting back together. He still called Jinhye some times, just for some formal greeting during new years or her birthday. They officially met again when he was promoting as JJY Band through Shinyeong. That day, Shinyeong and Jinhye were visiting Minjoo for her debut though it was a bit late. Their meeting was rather awkward, but still the new start for them--for Joonyoung, actually. The first thing that Jinhye said was, "Oppa, you really put your bangs up, uh?" As Joonyoung always refused to styled his bangs up when they were dating. After that awkward encounter, they definitely talk mor, even though not everyday--maybe once or twice in one or two weeks. Jinhye often asked for some tips from him, and he started to showing back his 4D-ness by sending her nonsense messages or that Jinhye should debut soon so that he could promote her songs on her radio or having her in radio or 1N2D to tease. They were getting back at what what their started as, rock-music buddy. But it was clear that Joonyoung had a plan to get back together.

HISTORY [ ♦ ] Actually, they knew each other way before they officially met. Jinhye always been the one who adore Joonyoung musically since he release first EP, Rock Trip, in 2010--right after she came to Seoul. She was also a fan of his band, Switchon. On the other hand, Joonyoung often saw Fleur busking on Hongdae's street or when they were performing in cafe, as he was a regular there, and find them charming--well, actually, she find Shinyeong was. They officially met in 2011 during an Ulzzang-Shidae TV-Show which Joonyoung recognized Jinhye as one member of Fleur. Turn out they had same interests toward music and became friend after the show ends. He tried to ask Jinhye for Shinyeong's phone, and Jinhye tried to play cupid for both of them but it was backfired since it turned out that Shinyeong end up dating a barista who work in bookstore-cafe near the cafe they worked at. Jinhye was being a good friend by staying wiith him to go through the heart-break but in the end, just like a classic novel, the two were the ones who ended up dating in early 2012.

The two were joining different music-programs as they were dating. Jinhye, along with Shinyeong, auditioned for KPOPSTAR2 whilist Joonyoung decided to audition for Superstar K4 as a soloist. Dating during a competition was really hard, as they rarely meet each other. And apparently, both did not like to be disturbed when they were working so not talking to each other for few days were normal for them. Even so, Jinhye was definitely one of his strength to stayed until he got 3rd place--as he often picked her favorite song. But in the end, when you were in relatonship, communication mattered a lot. So everything went downhill after that. Jinhye was barely 20 and Joonyoung was 23, both were still immature and selfish. they were constantly in unofficial break until Jinhye end it in the middle of 2013, few month before his debut and the starts of SIXTEEN.
