BACK UP ☆ Goo Hara

FASHION STYLE ☆

She is an athlete, so most of the times, she wears her training clothes that contain t-shirt and training-shorts, as she lets her face covered with light and simple make-up. But once she is done with the training, it feels like she is a complete different person. Being a daughter of a family in 2nd caste, she is used with all the luxurious clothes and meeting with important people. So once she outside her training, she mostly wears expensive dresses that reach her knees daily, or a long dress when it comes to formal occasion. She kept her wrist simple, just a silver watch lingering there. Honestly, she really hates it when she tied her hair up, as she thinks that her head will looks like a steamed bum even more that way. But since hair can be a big distraction in her job, she always tie it up during training and competition, but always let it loose outside it.

APPEARANCE ☆
Standing in 168 and 49kg, her proportions are not the most appealing one. Despite being 168cm tall, she is actually considered shorts among her friends. She inherited her mother's features. She got a mole under her eyes and thinks that it is her charming point. Her cheeks are so chubby and she really hates it, as she thinks that people will always think that she is a kid that way, it makes her fail to give people a mature vibes--something that people expect from a daughter of Ahn Household.

THE REAL ME

PERSONALITY ☆

(+) confident, hard-worker
(=) perfectionist, smart
(-) arrogant, spoiled

She is the only daughter of the only son of Ahn Household. Simple introduction, Ahn Household is family in which the members of the family have been taking a part in the kingdom's military and defense for generations. In which we can easily tell that the Ahns is one of the noble families beside the royalties, of course. Growing up with silver spoon, it is not surprising that Jinhye grew up a bit spoiled. Especially after the death of her brother, Daehyun. From her parents to the maids that work for the family, they treated Jinhye like a princess, their precious gem, as she is the family's only expectation. It makes her used to get whatever she wants without actually making an effort on it. She is also persistent on what she thinks or wants. That's all until she experienced the life of an athlete. Sport is not like any other things, you can't cheat or get a free pass to be on top. That is also why her parents told her to be an athlete, so they she could learn that anything good would need some effort. And the tactic was suceed. Jinhye was a hard-worker when it comes to sport. She is a perfectionist, so it is no doubt that Jinhye will work as hard as she can ntil she can please herself and until she is being on top, of course. But that doesn't mean that the spoiled part of Jinhye is gone, not really. She is still dependent on other people in many aspects, as she thinks that there is always an easy way to have what she wants.

Inheriting her dad's briliant brain, Jinhye was as briliant as him. She was not one who takes the #1 spot at school, pretty much average, but she was a street-smart. She may be bad at math, but when you need someone to talk about common knowledge or the on-going issues, Jinhye is the one that you should look for. For her, it is more important to learn about something that people always talk about instead of natural sciences--because she is sure that no one will randomly approach her and asked about the second law of newton. Her wide-range of knowledge is actually her charming point and the source of her confidence. Jinhye is a confident girl that could blend well in new environment, and the one that could lead a talk without any problem. She could can captivate people with her knowledge and her choice of words that can make people feel comfortable--and sometimes make them also do as she please. But there is one thing that she is bad at adapting, it is when she gets to meet those from lower castes. She is someone that supports the caste-system, and being second caste--which is sometimes the second caste is identic with noble--makes her somehow grows arrogant. It is not the type of arrogant that will show you how much money she has or how much power she got, it is the kind of arrogant that thinks that herself is higher than any other person. The one that doesn't really show it, but the vibes say it all---for example, she would just smiled in well-manner and walk off as fast as she can without aking any conversation if someone from lower caste greets her. Or someone that will say, "I think you need to work on your techniques more. It should be like (explanation)" when some athletes ask for advices, she said as if she is above them in techniques. She likes to call it Pride better, though, as she is someone who value her pride. However, after Daehyun's death, the confident girl was replaced by the girl who just pretend to be confident. For people, she was still the same confident and spoiled daughter from House of Ahn. But inside, she was no longer there. It felt like she was living but not alive. She sure still throw sarcastic remark here and there, but it is all just for show. When she is alone, she tends to break into tears and wondering about what it feels to be beside Daehyun in heaven. Thtat's why, she hates to be alone.

my life story

BACKGROUND ☆

Jinhye was originally the second out of two children from Ahn Household, one of the noble households beside the royalties. Her Father is a respected person in the kingdom's military and defense department as he is not only a good war tactian, but a good leader for the armies. Her mother was unexpectedly come from the lower caste, the third one, as she is a doctor.  And being the only kid, Jinhye had her entire life mapped out by her parents, at least that is after her brother died in a virus-attack a decade ago, when he was barely 16 years old. For a noble like her, and moreover for Ahn Household, the rules are you have your life mapped by your parents if you are a first son in the family, and you get to choose how your life goes if you are a daughter or second son of the family. But of course, you won't get the 'power'. For generations, Ahn Household is known as the holder of higher positions in the kingdom's military and defense, so they are not just a mere armies, they are the leader of those armies. So when she became the only daughter at the age of 13, she knew that her life would never be the same. The teen Jinhye was given some understanding that her parents would now make the decision for her. Like the job she would do, or the people she would hang out with.

When she was eleven, a serious sickness came hovering the kingdom. They called it Black Fever--symbolizing darkness and the black marks that the patient often get if they were managed to be cured. Her brother, Daehyun, influenced by the fever after he participated in some local competition. After that, he lives in small room by himself, isolated from his little sister. Jinhye was very sad about Daehyun's illness but she couldn't do anything. They communicated everyday as Jinhye mostly stayed on his room. But they were separed by thick glass that separated Daehyun and the world. It was when she knew that Daehyun wants to be an athlete, not an army. It was also the moment when he told her that she needs to consider about what she wanted to do in live. One day, Daehyun got a very high fever---his neck was then covered by thick black pigments. Jinhye forced herself in, as she knew that her brother couldn't be cured anymore, Daehyun told her so few days ago that the next time he got fever would be the last time he breath. And he was right.

Being a girl meant that it was a bit impossible for her to be an army, let alone holding a higher position. So she is introduced to the athlete-world at the age of 14, a year after her brother passed away. Being born from Ahn Household, of course the sports that she got introduced were those who had some connection with war. Like archery, shooting, horse-riding, chess, and etc. But actually, she already knew about it from long. Her brother was originally trained to be an army, but being her like to tag along with him, she already knew some stuff like gun, target, archery, horse-riding, and many other activities. Her choice were arhery and chess, and the reason was simple, those were the sports that her brother wanted to be expert on, and was orginally her brother's dream. So she would like to fulfil it for him, since her brother is anything that she got in her life, as cheesy as it sounds. But in the end, she went professional for Archery and just make chess and other sports as her hobby. But it was no doubt, that she was one of the best chess-player that the kingdom got.

At the age of 17, she was being told that she would not get to choose her husband. As she was having a teenager-crush on fellow athlete, the young Jinhye was a bit mad with the decision, but then she remembered that she got her entire life planned by her parents. When she turned 20 and registered as adult, some men from noble families came to her house just to ask her hand for marriage at young age. Most of them came from second caste just like her, some even came from another kingdom. But they all got rejected. Her Father said that the only man that could get to marry her was the one that hold high position in the military and defense, the one that will replace him, so that the traidition of someone from Ahn having postion in military and defense would not be stopped just becase they only got a daughter. She was now 22, would turn 23 on the year, when the royalties announced The Selection. At first, she was hesitant. But her parents forced her to join the selection and aimed to steal the heart of the best war tactician among the prince, Min Yoongi.

FAMILY ☆

Father, Ahn Tae-Yong  56  important person in kingdom's military and defense  strict and desicipline yet supportive  not that close, but he is Jinhye;s biggest supporter on being athlete. 3/5.
Mother, Choi Young-Ae  52  doctor  soft, caring, patient yet super bossy  the most loving mother that Jinhye could ask despite her being super bossy and in control of everything. 3.5/5
Deceased Brother, Ahn Daehyun  16 (deceased)  -  caring, protective  having a busy parents, he was pretty much the only one that close with her when he was still alive. 4/5.

FRIENDS ☆

Un-related Brother, Jung Joon-Young  27  gun-shot athlete  blunt, careless toward his surrounding unless it is his closest ones, a bit protecive thet both met for the first time when Jinhye was 16 and joining her first ever international-tournament  Joonyoung got almost same personalities like her brother, and their age was only a year different (with her brother) so for Jinhye, he took the brother-role and her real brother couldn't do anymore. 4/5.
Archery-mate, Hyelim Woo  24  archery-athlete  cheerful, optimistic, a bit shy  they met for the first time when both of them just started their first archery-training.  the one year age-gap and the fact that they always join tournamnt together made them pretty much inseparable. 4.25/5
Son of the Chaebol, Lee Byung-Hun  23  heir of the father's assets  spoiled, carefree, wise bt can be irresponsible at times  It was just some usual luxurious party for the second caste when both were 18, and they ended up boring and bumped into each other   he is the non-athlete that is closest to her. She usually finds it hard to get along with non-athlete, since they have different topic, but she get along just fine with Byunghun.

OTHERS ☆

One-sided rivalry, Yoon So-Hee  23  models  smart, arrogant, envious  they met on a luxurious part y too, this time whenthey were both 20  Sohee likes Byunghun, and no doubt about that. So she takes Jinhye as her rival, when Jinhye was actually not a threat at all. They are just a partner in crime, and it wasn't like Jinhye could marry Byunghun in the future, too.
The Mentor, Choi Yeo-Jin  32  archery mentor  Supportive, caring, hard-worker  they met when Jinhye just started her training in Archery  for a mentor-student, they are quiet close. She is the one that would willingly accompany Jinhye until late night for practice, not only because it is her job, but because she cares about Jinhye too.

PRINCESS FOR THE LAZY

Life is like archery, you need to hit the target.

tumblr_n8yphhk4Sz1rufh5do3_500.giftumblr_m8qtj7icBy1r3ttobo1_500.gif

Reason for joining the selection ☆  The reason? It might be weird, but her only reason for joining the selection was her parents. They told her to join the selection, because they thought that would be a shame of the daughter of Ahn did not join the selection, plus, her parents were aiming her to be the future-wife of the best war tactian among the prince, Min Yoongi.

life as a selection candidate   ☆  She had entered the palace one or twice, when she was given some reward due to her achievement as an athlete. So the luxury of the palace did not awe her much. In palace, she mostly talked with fellow second-caste ladies, sometimes with third-castes ladies too. She did not really mixed with those from lower caste, as beside her arrogancy as second caste, she was confused about what to talk with them and they are simply too intimidated to start the conversation. With the palace-staff, she was mostly nice and well-mannered, just as she was being taught, despite the rumours of her being rude and all. She was also liked by the time-keeper of the palace due to her punctuality. When she was with the royal-families, she really captivated them with her wide-range of knowledge and her sweet-talking ability. Among the princes, beside Prince Yoongi, she could be categorize as the closest with Prince Seokjin as he liked to talk to her about diplomacy and all. However, she found it awkward with Prince Namjoon for some reason. With the other princes, she interacted just fine. She greeted them politely and responded to their talk and questions well.

life as part of the final seven ☆  One thing crossed her mind when she was announced as the chosen one. She did it, she made her parents proud ans she was not a failure as the only daughter in family that prioritize son.  Nothing was really changed in her life, maybe she got constant tease from fellow athletes, but that was okay. If anything, maybe it was her mother that had a serious talk with her, pointing out her flaw that needed to be repaired. She told Jinhye that she needed to be more humble, not showing her arrogance, and things. She also promised herself once again, that she would try to reduce her arrogance toward the lower caste, or at least make it less-obvious and would interact more with them. Her winning the selection was predicted by many people, so the public was not surprised when she was chosen, some event suspecting that the choice was forced. The reason was simple, her family-background. Public was mostly okay with it, as she was known as the beautiful athletes that made the kingdom proud. But of course, some of the unchoosen ladies hate her because they thought that Jinhye's attitude was not gold, and she did not deserve to be a royalty with that attitude of hers. At first, she felt like running for the crown that she did not want--but after she got selected as part of the final seven, she knew that she was living the life that others did not even brave enough to dream o

prince yoongi

prince seokjin + prince jimin

tumblr_n88kaqX8NA1ry65bao4_500.gifanigif_enhanced-19728-1404764926-19.gif

PERSONALITY ☆  It is know that the second oldest prince is the laziest among the seven-princes. He rarely participate in some events, as most of the times he would just appear, greet the crowd, and watch the event without actually participating. He adapts quickly in various situation, as he is the one that is flexible and go-with-the-flow. But despite his laziness, he is hard-worker toward things that he is passionate in, and to win something that he wants---for instance, the one he likes or loves. He is far from plin-plan and can make a decision easily, as he will keep on hating what he hates, and loving what he loves, without caring about what other thinks about it. As he is a war tactian, most of the times, he is always serious especially when he is making a decision for war as it will affect the whole kingdom. But he would be a bit loose when he is in touch with his precious, in which it is music. He would release all of the stress that build up in his lyrics. He really adores women that is a hard-worker, especially those who can make him willingly get up from his bed just to check what she was up to.

RELATIONSHIP ☆  It was awkward at first. As they barely know about each other despite both had been in the palace for quiet a while. From the start, Yoongi knew that he needed to choose her, like it or not. But in the end, she is the winner of his heart, there was no doubt about that. Problem is, is he the winner of her heart? Sometimes, he often thinks that Jinhye would fall for Seokjin instead, judging on how the two clicked up so well. What makes it even awkward is that everyone is keeping an eye on them. But he is Min Yoongi, the one who will loves what he loves, and devote all of his time and attention on it. The journey to win his heart may have ended, but for Yoongi, the journey to actually win the heart of the lady is just started--and it is like a competition with no competitor.

HISTORY ☆

Their first meeting was actually not when Jinhye stepped in for the selection along with the other girls. It was when both are 16 and immature, the teen Yoongi was learning some new things about war tactic and defense from Jinhye's father by playing chess in Ahn's mansion. It was a habit for his father to send him there every few weeks or perhaps a month to study. The 16 years old Jinhye suddenly came to the room, as she was told by her mom to deliver a message to her father that someone was waiting for her. The father left her to continue to game after he assured to Yoongi that her daughter is good at playing chess. At first, he was hesitant. Which girl was good at playing chess, most of them were not even interested, Yoongi thought. But Jinhye served him just right--she won. And it left Yoongi amazed.

Even though Yoongi still frequently visit the Ahn Household, both never meet again after that one chess match. Their second meeting was definitely during the selection. Instead of seeing her as the candidates, he saw her as his rival instead. One day, he wanted to repay her lose so she asked some of the ladies to play chess with him--including Jinhye. And he did, he defeated her in a tight and long match.

Jinhye treated him just like any other candidates treated him, as Yoongi was the prince afterall. Maybe she would sometimes throw a sarcasm, in which the prince would just laugh it off. It was pretty much a stiff and predicted vibes from her side. But the way Yoongi treated her was definitely far from normal. Since the moment she stepped in to the palace with the other ladies, one of his brothers told him that he needed to chose Ahn Jinhye, the beautiful lady from the second caste. That's why he treated her diferently, as he was told to charm the girl too. But in the end, he was the one that captivated him in her way. Yoongi likes to call her just to ask her to play chess--simply because she is the only lady that can play chess well without making it too easy for him. She is also the one that can point out the flaw of his tactic. Due to his curiousty, for once, he even woke up early jsut to see her stretching and getting ready to do some archeries.

their ending ☆  Yes, he will propose her.

It is on Jinhye's birthday party. Usually, there isn't any party, but they decided to make one as Jinhye is the selected future-wife of a prince. They were dancing to another boring song, as on the end of the song, Yoongi held her hand in front of public. "Lady Jinhye. In the eyes of my royal father and the noble court, I would ask for your hand in marriage. I pledge myself to you, Ahn Jinhye. Will you accept?"

Their married life? Jinhye still do archery after she got married, it just that she retires from being an active-athlete. Yoongi was also still being his usual self, the lazy one. It just, now he just wanted to be on the bed with his lady. He would rather being lazy outside and watch his lady doing archery instead of sleeping on his own. And it is not that romantic marriage that often descibed in movie or novel, it is a pretty normal one. They argue a lot, but then they made up few hours after that. As for kid--they've agree that they won't have one in short period, as both of them still think that they are not mature enough to bear a kid, and Yoongi still simply want the lady for himself.

last comment ☆  I don't now. I am sory if this messed up. I never read the actual book of selection, to be honest, i just heard one or two things about it. (Now that i am planning to read it after i am done with Young elites). so imagined it as first few chapters of red queen, when cal and maven are choosing the girls from different families. I am sorry if that 's actually two different things that have a total different system in selecting the princess.

scene requests ☆ Can i have a scene where Yoongi secretly wakes up super early in the morning to see Jinhye?
