I hate these survival shows!

Is anyone else incensed about Momo's being voted out in 'Sixteen'?

I was just casually checking them because barring G-Soul and 15&, for the past few years most of JYP's new music has been utterly-not-my-style (I really like GOT7 for their personalities more than the music). And Chaeyong, Jiwon and Momo's performance was the only one that stood out to me - the rest I felt were too unprofessional and raw. Other than that, I mean by now anyone would see how Jihyo would make a good leader?

Why is it that these survival shows just somehow pick up the more unsuitable/unneeded candidates? I mean, if beauty/handsomeness or charm is everything, then we don't get Chen or Luna! And that is really a loss because I love their voices! Imagine people cutting out gems like Hyorin or Ailee or CL, because of some biased voting!

Why do you not have more control over keeping someone who is actually debut-ready, JYP or YG uncles?

And 'No Mercy'? Aaaahh - I would remain a #GUN fan for the rest of my life (unless he turns out to be a bad person). All my interest in them evaporated when I saw how disbalanced their band was shaping up to be!

If you wanted Jinhyeong, why didn't you override the voting and also put him in Yang ahjussi? Before 'Mix n Match', everyone talked about the vocalist problem in TeamB. Why won't you put in people with a different voice color to balance out the supposed 'chipmunk brigade'? And within I-fan muggle talk, people spoke about TeamB lacking a visual/face to drag people in. How could you let the beautiful Jinhyeong or handsome Hongseok go when you know they both had looks and voices that would really add to TeamB's appeal?

[I would have happily supported a 8 member iKON (with Hongseok and Jinhyeong), or a 9 member iKon (because I have baby-bro feels for Chanwoo)!]

Or, for that matter, why do these companies allow the channel to show the potential members in the worst color, so that some get turned off by their personalities? Or for that matter, get attached to someone they then drop off, which sours their outlook on the ones who got in in the place of the faves? Why create potential antis like this?

Why make competing young girls (like in 'Seventeen') face comments like 'sly fox', 'stuck-up ' on SNS? Why allow such teens to be rated by public popularity charts, which are likely to ground their confidence to dust even if they have adequate talent?

Don't you think they deserve more of a protection than this? Have we all forgotten about the effect of 'KARA project'? *RIP Sojin*

Also, why make something that is a hobby, something that is 'free time' so stressful?

You do know right, how for many, kpop is supposed to be a happy place, a place to fan cute boybands/girlgroups? How does this life-and-death situation talk, the super harsh criticisms made towards these young adult trainess make the young adult fans feel? It is like the harsh professional life we have to enter, or are already facing is intruding upon our free time!

(I have friends who I was coercing into liking kpop, who despite being TeamB biased from 'WIN', went off due to the heightened tension and cattyness in 'M n M'!)

I feel like, we as a generation don't mind competing - but want a fair playground, with safe rules, and not one where people bleeding out emotionally is the supposed entertainment!
